    Wraps up the series
Don't let that other review steer you away from this book. Yes, the series did get a little out there, but I am a 35 year old man and I actually enjoyed the entire story from the first book to this one. The first 3 were better, but you have to read this one to complete the series and it does a nice job of wrapping everything up. Just read it.
    Tough to get through
Now and then it's refreshing to read something simple. I was first introduced to S.A. Bodeen's "THE RAFT" and was totally enthralled by it. I loved her writing and the story line. She has a great imagination. I highly recommend "The Raft". That being said, I started to read the Shipwreck Island series and the books got more and more boring and really out there. This last book in the series, "Found", is the worst of the four. I don't believe a teenager would even be patient enough to read it. Don't waste your time on this one.

    Publisher's Summary:
Beauty and the Beast is a traditional fairy tale in which an ugly beast must earn the true love of a beautiful girl to free him from the spell of an evil fairy. The first published version was written by French author Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve in the middle 18th century. It was a novel-length story intended for adult readers and addressing the issues of the marriage system of the day in which women had no right to choose their husband or to refuse to marry. Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont simplified and shortened Villeneuve's work and published it in a magazine for young ladies. The abridged version became more successful, and Madame de Beaumont is regarded now as the author of the classic story.

Someone is lighting a certain box of matches. All will come tumbling down. The Iremongers have come to London.

"Astonishing and inventive, it calls out to be read." (The Sunday Times on Heap House)

    Clairvoyant
This review will suffice for the whole trilogy as it is all of a piece and wonderfully, wickedly prescient. A gothic tale ostensibly for children
It also reads as a sort of skewed primer for Britain's recent political upheaval and the tragedy of the apartment tower fire and subsequent
Removal of hundreds of the poor from their homes. ( Americans call that " urban renewal")
Read this with a mind on class struggle and it is even more timely today.
    Thoroughly weird and enjoyable.
Thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy. While the first book is my favorite, it's such a unique series.
    Creative and captivating
This trilogy is a gothic sort of child's tale. The series is well-written and sparks the imagination. The characters are well developed and the story line is interesting. I wonder what my birth object would have been...?
    The Iremonger Trilogy
Best, most entertaining, original trilogy I've read this year.
    Five Stars
    I enjoyed this entire series!

    A great adventure!
I really enjoyed Penelope's adventure. It was filled with imagination and surprise plot twists. I am excited to share this story with my kids and for book 2.
Take flight in an unexpected way...
Shapeshifting, Pyrokenesis, and many other powers are abundant in this story. There are four I believe that relate to each element. This is Book 1 of a few as I see it. I wish the title said that. The story starts slow, showing off the villians and our heros journey to Azure.. finally when in Azure the REAL action begins and a story is taking off like a rocket. I liked how there was not much need for a back story as some books have, but that it incorporated alot into the storyline.
This is not for young children, maybe 10+ as it talks about murder and some issues with puberty.
I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
    Amazing kid's story
This story was extremely engaging. I felt the danger and fun that the characters were having. There was a steampunk feel to most of the book. I loved the world that we were transported to. I really want one of the owls we find in the end of the book.
If you have kids, this would be a perfect read with them. I enjoyed it being an adult and I know that children would also. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a bit of good clean fantasy!
This review copy audiobook was provided by the author/narrator/publisher free of charge.
    Good middle school book
Although I'm not in the target audience for this book, I enjoyed it. I would guess that it's right for 4-8th graders. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
I could get into it... and I tried.
    Any additional comments?
I tried to like this title, but I couldn't. I lost 'suspension of disbelief' in the first 2 minutes and couldn't get it back due to several nit-picks. The narrator has a good variety of voices, most of them silly sounding in my opinion. I only managed to suffer through the first two chapters. I know the author and narrator have to do a lot of hard work to provide a finished product and I gave them 3 stars for trying.

A great ride! I hope it's not the last one.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, which for now, caps off the A&C series... or does it? At any rate, as I reported in the review of the middle book, it's really well written and suberbly illustrated, and despite the fact that this is a children's book... and I'm sixty-five, it really held me. It is set, partly at The Chicago World's Fair, another set of behind the scenes looks at the glittering white city from a completely new point of view. As usual the brothers' differences create a raucous, happy patter throughout as they creep and bounce from one conflict to the next. We even learn a few things here and there. Loyalty is the biggest take-away as is tolerance. We live with four indoor and one outdoor cats, so the conversations all made perfect sense to us. I do hope we haven't heard the last of these two.
You can't beat the hilarious adventures of Anton & Cecil : Five stars
Great book with a great story about the brothers Anton & Cecil. Seems like everyone in our family has read this book and the previous two book s about Anton and Cecil. I recommend this book to everyone who loves cats and adventures. I hope its not the last book, as they were truly entertaining.
Thanks for such a great book,
    Cat's adventures
The last of the three book series.Cecil and anton have been very entertaining from start to finish. These are great stories for cat lover's of any age. My congratulations to mother, daughter team Lisa and Valerie Martin for keeping it interesting from start to finish. Thank you.
An Outstanding Book for YA Readers
This is the third in the Anton and Cecil line of books, and it is just as good as the first two. Two feline brothers go on adventures far beyond their home in Nova Scotia. In this one, they journey to the Chicago World's Fair of 1893 and help a "detective dog" find the person who is stealing puppies for work in a nearby circus - and Cecil flies in a balloon. Well told (and it also has lovely illustrations), it's a very fine read for young booklovers.

These stories are examples of the delightful stories from the Indian subcontinent which capture the simple essence of everyday life in India. The simple pleasures of life indicate a time gone by before the advent of cellphones and Facebook, a time which almost stood still, a time where children could revel in the rain, make paper boats and race them down a drain, play marbles and generally pass time.
The once idyllic life almost seems too slow and bear and hence is fascinating to watch unfurl as we listen to the story.

The only friend Emmie Hatton has ever had at the Craven Home for Orphaned Children is Lucy, the little black kitten that visits her on the fire escape every day. But when the children of Craven Home are evacuated out of London because of the war, heartbroken Emmie is forced to leave sweet Lucy behind. The children are sent to Misselthwaite Manor, a countryside mansion full of countless dusty rooms and a kind, if busy, staff. Emmie even finds a gruff gardener and an inquisitive little robin that just might become new friends. And soon, in the cold, candle-lit nights at Misselthwaite, Emmie starts discovering the secrets of the house - a boy crying at night, a diary written by a girl named Mary, and a very secret, special garden.
    Members Reviews:
    Home to Misselthwaite
If you've ever read Frances Hodgson Burnett's The Secret Garden, you will recognize the setting immediately. But author Holy Webb also captures the feeling of the first book - the prickly orphan girl who has been brought to Misselthwaite, the grumpy boy who lives there and resents having to share his home, and the incredible secret garden behind the manor house. For those who are not familiar with the original story, this book does just as well as a stand alone, so don't worry.
It is the eve of World War II and the children of London are being evacuated to the countryside to protect them from the German bombs that everyone is expecting to be dropped on the city. The twenty children at the Craven Home for Orphaned Children are all bundled up and sent off on a train to stay at Misselthwaite, the ancestral home of the Craven family. While dusting her room, one of the orphans, Emmie, finds some old diaries in a drawer and begins to read them. She learns of another little girl who was an orphan sent to Misselthwaite years ago, and how she discovered a forgotten garden and brought it back to life. Finding the garden becomes a mission for Emmie, as does finding out who is making the crying sounds she hears at night. Is there a ghost in the manor? What she learns about gardens and friendship helps Emmie to give up some of her prickliness and may even let her feel at home for the first time in her life.
This book is an excellent homage to the original story. It stays true to the setting and characters and takes them years forward in time to mingle with a new generation. The way the two stories are intertwined through the diaries and the overlap of the characters makes it feel like a homecoming to readers of the first book and will entice newcomers to reach for the original once they finish Emmie's adventure.
Readers of historical fiction, particularly if they are interested in the period around WWII, or about the Blitz in particular, will find this a good choice. Details like gas masks, rationing, and bomb shelters reflect the experience of wartime London. The way in which the boys from the orphanage find some binoculars to watch the planes fly overhead and learn to identify the different types of aircraft is another realistic note.
Highly recommended for middle grades (and up).
Charming and Emotional Sequel to THE SECRET GARDEN
Emmeline Hatton has known nothing but an orphanage all her life. The matrons are kind, but they canât make up for having a place to really belong, and Emmie seems to be always in trouble.
