Simple, Relevant, Practical

Nick Mannings approach to being a tour guide is sensible and applicable. I am certain his instructions and suggestions would sharpen the skills of the most seasoned tour guide. The guidance is sound and easy to comprehend. I am now much more aware of the immense responsibility of and have increased respect for tour guides. Best of all, he makes being a tour guide sound like a really fun way to immerse in any community whether at home or elsewhere.

I chose this audio book because I am strongly considering being a tour guide as a part of my upcoming world tour experience. I love history and enjoy moving around the United States and abroad. HTBATG is so complete and thorough, I do not feel a need to search for other instructions (other than those provided by any respective employer).

Using Mannings techniques, I plan to practice being a tour guide in my current localeand then spread my wings and fly with it!

Mannings narration is fluid and natural. He is articulate, and also personable, leaving the listener with the feeling of having partaken in an engaging conversation.

A quick and effective guide

No matter if you are an agent or are planning on getting your license sometime soon, this book has some great insight on how to sell land like the best land agents out there. Pat Porter a broker for one of the leading land brokerages in the southeast, discusses the seven characteristics thatâs common to almost every listing and sell. While this book is short, it packs a lot of information into only a few pages. Mr. Porter also shows how to separate yourself from the rest of the real estate agents out there with real life examples from the parcels of land heâs sold all over the south. I appreciated the conciseness of guideâitâs clear and easy to follow. Plus. it offers encouragement to anyone who is considering getting into land sales which, as a Realtor I will say iis much more rewarding and enjoyable than home sales.

Great Book: Essential read for learning the right skills, characteristics, and traits of a successful land agent or novice.

This is a no-nonsense book that is centralized on the right type of characteristics and values that the most successful land agents embody. If you are a sole proprietor, land agent, or novice to selling land I recommend reading this book. The author provides the reader with realistic expectations, true success stories, and examples of how to successfully sell land. These same characteristics, well practiced skills, and traits help define who the agent/seller is by their actions. In turn, this can lead not only to one successful sale but can be a multiplier for repeat customers, repeat sales, and a lasting reputation.

This book hits all the right target areas and keeps the reader moving page by page. I honestly can say that the authors straight forward approach makes reading this book a great experience. It is also filled with many facts and key points which makes every penny spent well worth it. Will definitely be keeping this book in my personal collection.

A lot of powerful information crammed into a very small package that you will want to have as a reference book at all times. If you are an agent or broker and want to lear the best practices of buying and selling land then this little gem will come in handy. Wish I could return it

The word "Analysis" is used way too often!

Struggled to finish as the word "analysis" at the start and end of every sentence was way too annoying to listen to. Usually love Tim Ferriss material.

Good Summary

Good summary. Feels like I got most of the books ideas delivered to me.

At one point at the end, the summary calls the author's practices 'unethical', but I found that to be a little too opinionated on the summarizer's part.

this is a great summary if you don't feel like you need to be convinced that there are serious problems with the American work culture. I also Imagine That reading the book might be enjoyable in other ways but my goal was to understand his point and for that, this shortened version was fantastic.
