Amazing ministry leadership book!

The analogies and guidance for leadership principles in the ministry are very helpful and insightful. Bob Hamp understands Ministry very well and his years of experience in it are valuable in describing how to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the right areas of focus.

Life changing!!!

MUST READ! The wisdom and revelation shared in this book is life changing, and clearly received from God. It provides a way of thinking and new lenses by which we can see and perceive life and leadership. While there are things that I want to see realigned in my life, that change results from intimacy with God, and not from striving. Thx Bob!!!

Wow! I have said to a couple people now...

It's not so much that there was any "new" information. Rather that he puts a LOT of pieces, we have all heard our whole lives, into a new pile... And as he turns your perspective to see them from a different light. So good I read it for a second time immediately I finished it

My pastor said recently: "the Kingdom of God only prospers through an atmosphere of warfare and violence." It reminded me of this book that I've just finished for the second time in quick succession.

This is an excellent practical and Scripture-based guide on how to 'take up our cross everyday.'

Malarkey starts out exploring why it is so difficult to live a surrendered life and in so doing has a good look at the nature of sin concluding there are three key influencers to why we sin: the world, the flesh and Satan. He provides useful illustrations clarifying the three.

The rest of the book provides guidance of how to practically surrender on a daily basis. He gives a good airing to acknowledging we are in a battle and how to appropriately prepare to survive and in fact prosper through it. There is a great chapter when he compares the preparation to what a Navy SEAL has to do in their line of work having interviewed one as part of his research for the book.

Each chapter ends with an action to take an honest assessment of yourself and a prayer to commit the key learnings to the Lord.

I took many notes as I read through it and am sure I'll be referring back to those in the days to come.

If you're grappling with the state of your walk with the Lord, you may find some super insights in this book that will help give you some sound perspective.

Highly recommended.

Don't be fooled...

So basically the same guy who LIED about the accounts in his first book, The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven (notice he doesn't even mention the title in the About the Author- strange, huh?) has written another one. He shouldn't be allowed to author any more books unless it's about telling the truth and apologizing to the public for the first dupe. It doesn't make any sense that he gets to profit from telling lies, and not even sharing the money with his paralyzed son. Ridiculous. The first book needs to be pulled, and Amazon needs to remove it.

an excellent every day, real life book

This is one of the best every day, real life books Ive read (listened to) recently. There are tips for home life and work. Ideas on how to have a balance of people in your life to support you the author described it as your Crowd, Companions, and Confidants. How respect starts with respecting yourself. How important confidence is. He mentions that just because we are confident in one season (or one area) of our life, it doesnt mean we will always be confident. If we lose our confidence (or need more), he has tips on how to get it. I also liked the section on encouragement.

Overall, I felt it was a great book to not only remind us to be real, but it offered tips on how to make sure we are real in all areas of our lives. Ive already listened to the book twice!

Makes me feel like I'm back home

Rick is a great storyteller. I left Arkansas for New York in 2010 and I miss hearing his sermons every week. He remains relevant in his teaching and very entertaining with his illustrations and anecdotes. I bought several copies to give to friends and I had to get the audio, especially since Rick narrates. You won't be disappointed.

Hugh Halter is awesome

That's the name for my review because it's true. I swallowed the "incarnational" kool-aid years ago and I'm constantly trying to find books that support the subject. This one hits the mark and goes a bit deeper than The Tangible Kingdom. It also lists some practical ways to implement this type of discipleship into daily life.

Changes the way we view Christianity

Hugh's first book, The Tangible Kingdom, changed the way that I did life as a pastor. Flesh, brings this change to a new level as it challenges us to become the incarnate Christ for our world to see! This is a must read for ANYONE who would be in the "none" category of religion.

Wow so enlightening.

Ray really sorted things out politically and Biblically without any aggression towards Hitler and his regime.

Not exactly what I thought it would be

The book was an informative look into Hitlers rise to power, but it was not the parallel of hitlers religious views or lack there of that I was expecting. There was maybe a chapter in it that related to the title but that was about it.

It is a very interesting historical book.

It makes you think and it says you many interesting things about Hitler's personal and political life.

History must be taught and never forgotten

I love Ray Comfort for his work and love for God. I enjoyed this book as it gave me a better understanding of the evil behind the man, Hitler.

It disgusts me to know that so many people were fooled my this man and his evils.

I pray that others will read/listen to this book and always be reminded of the Holocaust and keep the innocent victims memories alive.

Worth reading two or three times.

Learn some things about Hitler and the 'Third Reich' that you may not have known before. And perhaps learn a few things about yourself, in the process. It will be well worth your time.

Leading us out of the maze of "finding me"

Point: Your identity is not found in what you have, do, or desire. Your identity is in who has you, what he has done for you, and what he desires to have with you - a personal relationship.

Path: Lomas takes the reader back through the maze of lost identity to the place we need to start. He finds us in a desperate search of plowing the sand the sowing the ocean in trying to find who we are, then he leads us back to the place we need to be, recognizing who we are in Christ.

Sources: Lomas bases much of what he says on Christâs teaching in the gospels and Paulâs teaching to the churches. He references several other books on identity.

Agreement: This is an excellent resource for helping an individual orientate themselves in the confusing world of âfinding yourself.â It is not just a good one time reminder, but one I need daily as I gravitate towards works righteousness.

Personal App: Am I trying to find my identity in me, or in Christ? I can tell by whether I do, so thatâ or I have, so thatâ or I desire, so â God doesnât work like that. He says, âyouâre loved, thereforeââ

Joyce's message is always great to hear, but the narrator in this book is so dry and dull. Wish Joyce would have done the narrating, her voice gives a such a powerful message of hope! I bought the CD series and will be returning this ebook.

This has given me perspective and a piece of mind about the loss of my dog. Through consultations from Sonya's clients, she emphasizes that death is just the end of the physically body and the spirit is still very much alive and with us always.

Chicken Soup for the Soul. It is a series of different real life stories which are grouped into categories/ chapters and sub-categories.

It made me cry on and off as I mourned and slowly come to terms of the loss of my beloved dog.

I lost my beloved childhood dog on 11/4/13. The very next day, I found this book through a Yahoo News article that was featured. As Sonya mentions, our pet's spirit is still around us and wants us to be happy. I believe that my dog's spirit lead me to this book to help with my grieving.

What made the experience of listening to There Are No Sad Dogs in Heaven the most enjoyable?

The message is so comforting and uplifting. She validates that our sweet pets are still very much alive and are very happy in their spirit form. I've experiences many instances since listening that confirm that my dog is still with me, just as she says they are.Great book. While she does have an accent, she has such a pleasant and upbeat voice that she is fairly easy to follow. She also just has such an energetic and positive voice that she's fun to listen to.

What about Carol Irwins performance did you like?

Very upbeat, energetic voice. She speaks with clarity and the tone of her voice makes it easy to discern the words easily, even over the hum of computers and people around my office. I felt happy after listening.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes - I have listened to it for hours at a time throughout the work day.

Wonderful book if you grieving

I would recommend this book to anyone who has lost a pet and is grieving or can't get over the loss of a pet. This book really helped me deal with the loss of my dog and with the pain and sadness.
