This is Will & Meg's story! It didn't disappoint!

We meet Meg McBride briefly towards the end ofFight With Me. She has a brief encounter with Jules & Will where she expresses some serious animosity towards Will.In the beginning of Play With Meyou quickly learn why Meg is hostile towards him. Will is one of the four Montgomery brothers who all seem to be made from the sexy gene pool. He is a hot quarterback who can be a famous arrogant butt at times but when push comes to shove, Will is actually sweet and protective. Will is essentially living his dream as a football star. He's worked hard to get where he is and life for him is all about the game. That is, until he meets Megan McBride. Meg takes him by surprise when she instantly rejects him upon their first encounter. I loved Meg as a heroine. She is a woman who loves a sexy car, has a tattoo, used to sing in a rock band. To me, she was so genuine. She is a nurse working at the Seattle Children's Hospital in the cancer ward. She has a difficult job, but she loves it and she works hard. She gave up her career as a singer/musician when her best friend Leo moved to L.A. leaving her behind. Meg has had to overcome a harsh childhood and has dealt with the people who she has loved most in the world abandoning her. She definitely has trust issues not readily opening her heart to anyone. Will challenges her and even though she had a hard time voicing her feelings for him, he was simply too hard to resist. Will pulls out all the stops and this is wonderfully romantic and, as always, gave me the warm and fuzzies and is full of goofy grin loveliness. This story is hopeful, beautiful, compelling and its full of humor, passion, compassion and uplifting happiness. Its paced beautifully allowing time for the relationship to believably develop, giving Meg chance to slowly reveal the reasons behind her doubts & for Will to fully understand how to help her heal. Kristen Proby has once again provided a very romantic tale with little angst and a whole lot of holy hotness. I love the fact that we get to catch up with the other couples from the previous books and get glimpses as to the other characters for future books. I am hooked.

witty dialogue, crazy antics & charming love!

A delightful, crazy romp with another food obsessed, bossy, obnoxious Bradford. This book had me laughing out loud at all Trevors crazy antics. Zoe needs someone to be her champion and Trevor is just the man for the job. Shes his tenant and neither have ever spoken, but he still manages to annoy the HELL out of her. The first time they have a face to face encounter he insults her, over food of course, and regrets what he says the minute it comes out of his mouth.So, he tries to right the wrong by helping her out and along the way, he falls in love with her.Soon an unexpected friendship blossoms. Then one night everything changes when Zoe goes to a bar to hunt for a man. A girl has needs too! She has been on a dry spell and is in need for sex. Trevor ends up at the same bar when he spots a drunken Zoe and makes her an offer she can't refuse. Friendship becomes lust and lust turns in to love. I enjoyed this book, but I preferred the first one. Trevor's disparaging thoughts, her low self-esteem and the friends with benefits storyline lessened my enjoyment a bit. Overall, this was another fun, hilarious and delicious "light" listen from Mathewson!I like this author ability to keep your attention with the characters clever sarcasm and hysterical banter She is good at making you laugh, gives some some good anticipation anxiety, makes you tingling with the heat she puts in her sex scenes, and I like that her epilogues gives glimpses years out about how wonderful life is with the characters.

Really good addition to the series. :D

sweet, sexy, lighthearted, just plain funny!

RL Mathewson gave us another wonderful adventure in the Neighbors from Hell series. Connor O'Neil and Rory James have been torturing each other since preschool. The teasing, pranks and antics did not end as they got older...oh no...both Connor and Rory just got more creative. Bigger and better! Twenty-five years later and their two rival construction companies are competing for the same job. As fate would have it, both companies land the job and they have to work together. I adored Rory & Conner, they were both sexy and hilarious. It was a never ending banter between this two who hated each other yet can't live without each other. I loved the chemistry, the humor, the silly escapades, the romantic side of Connor, Rory stubbornness, the smoking smexy times, and the addictive hot cocoa!And despite the craziness of the story, I did love that there was a touch of sweet heart warming backstory. Plus, I was so excited to find out that both Jason and Trevor (from the previous two books in this series) made appearances and they were still up to their food-grabbing antics. Just remember to not take this book seriously, just enjoy the ride!

I am looking forward to Audible releasing more books in Mathewson's A Neighbor from Hell series. These books are a must listen!!

Needs a little work

Interesting concept. Strong build up - I truly believed the characters were out to get each other, but the turn around was a bit quick for as deep as the hatred supposedly ran. The "agreement" to pretend to date was not believable. Enjoyed the narration though. My biggest complaint was the writing - It drives me insane when a sentence has to use the same word two or three times repeatedly when other options are available...he put his hands on the bed and leaned forward on the bed, his arms brushing against the bed...this was a consistent theme throughout the book. Surely someone could have cleaned that up.

Applauds for Left Drowning

Let it be known that this is getting like a 4.75 stars instead of what is shown as a 4. Hopefully, Audible will offer it's customer base the ability to fraction stars in the new look. Anyway, this is a powerful story of the struggle to deal with, work through, handle, manage or otherwise grow through not only tragic loss (Blythe's parents) but also unspeakable abuse (Christopher's family). How their lives cross paths, only to grow together, fall apart and move forward is a beautifully conceived story full of twists and turns that will have your heart racing and your emotions at the surface. The ONLY issue (which prevented the full on 5 stars) FOR ME was the over-done sexual encounters. After the first 10 or so, it got old and felt gratuitous; how many times do I need to read Christopher say "I want to hear you come" before it gets redundant and meaningless. Don't get me wrong, I'm no prude and enjoy erotic and sensual encounters a LOT but this was just over the top. With such a strong STORY of loss, love, loss, love and redemption, the sexual abundance did not add substance or meaning. This story was extremely moving and so beautifully crafted, don't let my wariness of the sexual content stop you from listening to it. Heck, I listened ALL NIGHT long to finish it--just could NOT stop until the story was done.

The characters of Blythe, Christopher, Sabin (perhaps my favorite character), Estelle, and Eric were so richly written and performed, I felt like I knew them and ached so for them.

About the narrator, reader, performer...Arielle DeLisle, well, I have one word for her. MAGNIFICENT. She handled many voices with ease, individuality, emotion, depth, believability and substance. As we who are devotees of the spoken book, the narrator can make or break. In this instance, Ms. DeLisle ABSOLUTELY MADE this book.

This is a very very worthy read.

Both heartbreaking and heartwarming

This was not the story I was expecting when I started but I was amazed by it. Very rarely do I find a book /narrator combo that takes my heart and refuses to let go. I experienced every moment along with the characters.

What did you like best about this story?

The story, even though predictable like most love stories. It was entertaining and great love scenes. You get caught up in their story.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Bunny Warren and Robert Black ?

Anyone else. The guy would have to have the accent and the girl needs a southern drawl. But these two need to practice a bit more. Robert read the lines in spurts. No natural flow when he read. He has a good voice and sexy accent but it was exhausting listening to him rush through his lines. Bunny, is to nasal sounding. Her southern accent sounds forced. If the story had not have hooked me, and I hate to waste a credit, I would have stopped listening due to their voices. Hate to be harsh. Sorry.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

No names, Hot Sex, all my fantasies met, no pretenses. A perfect distraction......until I lost my heart.

I loved this book! This book had everythingromance, strong hero/heroine, lust, sex and angst. This book was beautifully written and Im now a fan of Ms. Cates. I read this book in one sitting and found the plot intriguing - it left me wanting more. I even loved the secondary characters and enjoyed how Ms. Cates made them interesting without detracting from the main hero/heroine. The witty banter and sexual tension between them was wonderful to read. Whether Jack knew it or not, his protective instincts came out with her. Whether worrying about her getting a sunburn or watching her suffer a migraine, he couldn't help himself from wanting to take care of her. Laurelyn was the parent, so to speak, with her mom, so this was sweet to see. I really liked both of the characters and found it interesting that Laurelyn, who had a troubled past was more open to her feelings than Jack, who had a stellar upbringing with loving parents. I'm already listening to the next book and its just as good as the first :)

Book Five in the With Me in Seattle series.

Okay, I'm going to be honest with you, I liked this book BUT it felt like it was lacking a few things. Don't get me wrong, the book has plenty of romance and the characters are well liked, the story is original & well written with a good pace. This is the 5th book in the series but it's the first audible has released. It can be treated as a stand alone but I occasionally felt a bit lost with the other secondary characters. Regardless, it doesn't hinder from story. This book is Brynn & Caleb's story which begins with Brynn being in danger after accidentally seeing the men that murdered her ex-husband. Unfortunately, not being able to provide a description of the suspects means that she doesn't qualify for the witness protection, this forces Brynn to count on the support of her family to keep her and her two twins daughters safe.Thats when Caleb enters, one of the hot bunch of Montgomery brothers and an ex-Navy SEAL, takes charge in his alpha male protective role to ensure that Brynna and her two girls, Maddie and Josie are safe from any threats. Caleb is gruff, fiercely protective of his family, has a dark/slightly tortured side, and hides a heart of gold behind a gruff exterior.

An exciting, engaging and romantic adventure!

Not Quite Enough, is the third book in Catherine Bybee's Not Quite series. So far, this installment is definitely my favorite. This contemporary romance is about Monica and Trent. When an earthquake followed by a tsunami hit the coast of Jamaica, Monica Mann is one of the first trauma nurses to finally make good on her training with Borderless Nurses. She uses this trip to get away from jerk of a boss and recent break up. Trent Fairchild retreated to Jamaica after the sudden death of his parents. He continues to struggle over the guilt he carries. While living in Jamaica he manages a small tourist transportation fleet of helicopters and spends most his time flying!They meet during difficult circumstances, something most people won't even imagine finding themselves in. There's an instant spark between them. Monica feels she isn't one for long term relationships, in fact she tends to end them before it becomes to serious. Sex is fine, love isn't for her. Trent has major trust issues because of things that happened in the past. Then one day they finally give in to the constant attraction to each other when suddenly they find themselves in a life in death situation. I really enjoyed this book, with its action adventure, great humanitarian effort, survival and to top it off a hot steamy and dramatic romance.......can't ask for much more!! Not Quite Enough is a good, captivating and engaging book.

Not special, but satisfactory

A nurse heads to tsunami damaged Jamaica to care for injured islanders. Those who know her call her the 'ice queen.' She meets and hooks up with a helicopter pilot who lives on the island and whom she believes is only a pilot when he is actually a co-owner of a large corporate airplane charter business. (The disaster environment is interesting, but I don't know if it's accurate.) The couple gets trapped as the result of a large aftershock, which is when the real drama starts.

The author has consistent grammatical errors and her premise is sometimes awkward.

Aggrivation, a heart attack, and the cliffhanger.

I honestly don't know what to type as I sit here and ponder the responses I just read over to this book. I just feel... slimy. Uncomfortable. Discombobulated.

And I'm gunna have a moment to Woosah. So. Spoilers.

Obviously.

There's something I failed to truly appreciate in Lizzy Bennet, despite loving her for years. Her backbone. She's sure of herself, and when confronted with security in the form of handsome Darcy, she'd rather stay single than deal with douchbaggery.

Not Emily. Emily is dating a creeper. All the signs are there. Like, waved in our face. He's like Mr. Wickham with money. And to make sure we notice them, the second voice of the story is the OTHER guy. So we know from the beginning Gavin and Emily will end up together. We just have to wait. And wait. And watch this girl make one bad move after another. It's like some cross between a boyfriend and Stockholm syndrome and she just CAN'T get away. Even after meeting her love-at-first-sight guy.

On top of it, there seems to be a lot of women who love answering doors in their underwear. This abnormal occurrence plays a role in this story. And to be honest. The whole "misunderstanding" could have been understood if homegirl had a backbone and simply stepped inside her recently claimed domain, and confronted the situation.

But she's a doe. A heart-bleeding doe. That's her spirit animal.

And when she finally gets what she wants - I knew something was up because there was too much book left. So enter the evil ex who is there just to be a drunken, panty-wearing, door-opening, plot device. Boom. "Shot thru the heart, and you're to blame.."

I was so off balance during my yoga class today because I was so ANGRY at this heroine. Laugh if you will, but yoga is that calm place. A happy place. Instead, I was stuck on pause while the last hour (like 8 hours in) of listening and my warrior pose sucked because I was pep-talking myself how I would NEVER let a guy abuse me like that. Or would I let things get so out of control like she did.

I came here hoping the reviews would mention how broken this heroine is from the first minute of the book to the last. Nope. Everyone loved it. Apparently heartbreak for 11 hours is fun!

Fan of Robyn Carr

I liked this audiobook, however the book description was a little misleading. I expected more of a love story between Mac and Gina, along with how they worked their families into a whole. This was not the case.

This story is a continuation of Cooper and Sarah's romance and their issues, which might i say was great and excellent to listen to. I felt a lot more invested in them in this story. Having listened to the first in the series I now understand that it is going to be about the community of Thunder Point more than the romance of individual characters.

Carr also brought teen love and heartache into this story. I actually cried for Ashley!!! I have children so for this to happen to one would be devastating. I really think Carr nailed it, the emotions, the out of control feelings of an adolescent.

I have to add that if you are new to the Thunder Point series?, listen to The Wanderer (book 1) first as you will have a better understanding of the community and what Robyn Carr is trying to achieve in her novels.

Lastly, and I know I always say this, but Therese Plummer is my favourite narrator, she is fantastic for this series and anything of hers I have listened to I have thought a better book due to her.

Needy, Hungry, Claimed and Length; One Man's View

Ill start and end with a disclaimer. Im a guy without any significant background reading romance genre books. Related books I read tend to be a bit more womens literature: Sandra Dallas, Jane Smiley, Molly Harper and Willa Cather. (Plus several of Ms. Carrs, such as Four Friends.) Ive recently read a new paranormal romance writer, Ava Louise ("Intergalactic Matchmaking Service"), and an established one: Patricia Briggs. Among the men whose romances I read are Charles Martin and Nicholas Sparks. I have no history of reading bodice rippers although Ive read enough bad / poorly written books over the years to know quickly what I wont like. So, please understand I have a definite, but limited, basis for comparison.

The Newcomer is probably my fifth or sixth Robyn Carr book, more than Ive listened to by any other Audible author except Molly Harper and Charles Martin. Why do I like her books so much? There is grit and complexity. In The Newcomer several themes issues are developed.

Passion and Surrender

Part two was just as awesome as the first book. I really am enjoying this series and have not stopped listening. Damien and Nikki rock and I love that she is starting to hold her own. I like that although she is submissive she still has spunk. My only complaint is that I have to wait until next month to get part 3. This is an absolute must read in my opinion but you need to like 50 Shades and Bared To You books because this is written in the same manor but with its own unique plot twists. I just really like stories that have hot steamy scenes and still have a plot. The characters sizzle on the page and leave you just wanting more. Worth the credit!

50 Shades better than the rest...

Ok, so I gushed about book one and now I have to gush about book two. This was such a sexy listen. As I said in my review of the first book, it's the same formula as FSOG and Bared To You but didn't feel like a rip-off. It's a well written book and I enjoyed the story more then I did the others in this genre. Learning more about Damien Stark made this book worth a credit and then some.

Bring on book 3....

A Must Listen!!

What made the experience of listening to Claim Me the most enjoyable?

Sofia Willingham!!!! I love her soft whisper voice! She makes each character their own distinct person. The passion that she puts into the story, she just makes it so real! She is officially my favorite narrator!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved Release Me and have listened to it several times. I wasn't sure if the Claim Me would continue and be as great, but I was ecstatic to find that it not only was as good as the first but was even better!! The game between Damien and Nikki continues, I love the way that Damien's words just put spell on Nikki (& me ;)).

What about Sofia Willinghams performance did you like?

Sofia is perfect! I am not a good reader, so I listen ;) Sofia draws you into the story and never lets you go.
