Quick paranormal listen

Loved this book! The story packs a lot into a short time. Lots of action and drama, loved the characters too. Narrated excellently by the author which really added to the listening experience. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Great quick listen. Fun ride.

Unleashed was a quick story in that the narrative drove the story and it was almost nonstop. Great writing and enjoyable different kind of story. Would definitely look for more by Mariah Avix.

I am usually against the author doing their own narration because they tend to be too close to the characters but Mariah Avix did a great job. She told the story with a clear excitement and listening to her, you get the feeling that the main character is someone she is very close to.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and I am leaving a voluntary review.

I hope that this'll be the start of a new series..

What a great short story... it's written and read by Mariah Avix... Mariah has a fantastic speaking voice and it feels like she is really in the skin of her protagonist, Diane... hell maybe she is! Diane volunteers at a pet shelter, always taking care of the worst cases to come in, the abused, and the older dogs... Then Diane is told to take care of a "dog" that has the whole kennel in an uproar... If you like tales of animals or "shifters" or both, you'll love this story!

Interesting story, a different take on werewolves

I really liked this story and am anxious to get the next in the series. I voluntarily reviewed this audio book after receiving an advanced copy that I requested.

NEED TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL FOR AWHILE? GIVE YOURSELF A CHANCE TO UNWIND AND RELAX while you enjoy these four short stories! The summary description describes each book - what I want to share with you is the INCREDIBLE TALENT and CREATIVITY that Mr. Day expresses in his writings. As an avid reader who loves all types of genres (with the exception of horror/scare the pants off of you so you can't sleep, needing every light on all throughout the house ... books) it amazes me the ability Mr. Day has to take an idea and draw out every emotion and thought provoking detail in a way that I have never seen before. Once you read his books, you too, will be ADDICTED to all of his writings. Great audiobook! Just missing one thing....

The stories are classic, and the narrators do a great job. As others have commented, the one thing this audiobook is missing is the names of each literary work instead of just chapter numbers. It would be nice to be able to skip to specific stories.

44 hours 49 minutes of audio and no table of contents. That's right. The speakers, Heyborne, Chase, Corren, Campbell and Gardner are all terrific. Blackstone Audio should supply a table of content.

I do not like poetry

What would have made Edgar Allan Poe better?

Just read the story without the poetry. The book was read in old English to the point I could not even make out what the story was about.

Interesting audio book

Accept for the fact that I was taken back by how short of stories the "6books" were, it was a pretty decent story line. I would. otherwise have spent $14 on it though after listening to the audio. I like longer books.

Story did not flow very well.

Story disappointing. Did not flow. Endings to books were abrupt. Ending to story not satisfying. Heroine pretty stupid and defiant.

This was a short story that just proved that Rhys and Saffron are meant to be...they run into Saffron's ex and a men do they strut there stuff for dominance...but Rhys is a true gentlemen and Saffron a true professional and they put her ex in his place...

Good story, this new narrator is ok, but speaks a little too fast for my taste...I didn't have a problem with the old narrator...I kinda liked him.

Short and sweet!! (& HOT)!!

I loved this short story. It was just enough action packed into the story without any overkill or over the top angst. The love story between lead singer, Rhys, and band manager, Saffron, was super hot through the whole listen. It was gratifying to hear that Sonny Jace, Saffron's ex and bad boy lead singer for another band, gets what is coming to him.

The narrator was good. I have other voices that are a personal preference but Joshua Macrae gives a very solid performance. I had no particular complaints or nuances that would keep me from listening to another of his narrations.

Audio production was also good but I did not enjoy the guitar rifts in between chapters as it made me jump a few times when the audio volume all of a sudden kicked up many notches- heads up!

I definitely recommend this for a quick listen if you are looking for a gratifying smack down of the bad guy ex-boyfriend, and a steamy listen with a hot rocker (and arguably also a bad boy) shows his loyalty to his girl.

I LOVE ROCK-STAR ROMANCE- WHAT A RIDE!!!

What does Joshua Macrae bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Mr. Macrae did a phenomenal job performing this book. This is the first book I have listened to by him, and would have absolutely no problem listening to him perform any book I would listen to. He really made the book come alive.

If you could take any character from The Serendipity of Karma out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I could not just take one. I would need to take both Saffron and Rhys both. They both just seem so interesting.

This book was so delightful to listen to. I loved the story. I really liked how the authors built and defined the romance between Saffron and Rhys. The professionalism that Saffron omitted in the face of the %^&*. Saffron basically slapped her in the face without lifting a hand. I am a rookie when it comes to these two phenomenal authors, and have already started looking for more books by them.

This was not your best writes

I'm not impressed with this story, nor does it make sense to me. There are too many things going on, like if they didn't know each other before their boss's shindig, why all of a sudden he has an office where she can see him....the scenes just don't make sense. The fact that you have him doing coke, makes him lose his sex appeal. Julia's 9 years his senior but there's no chemistry...I can understand a romance with an older woman and younger man and vice versa, but the fact that she's going to black mail him for sex....really, desperate much...definitely not my cup of tea....this story could have been written much better....definitely not interested in getting the next installment
