This is a wonderful book series that goes along with the A to Z mystery books...highly suggested for kids between 5 and 9. My son, who is eight loves them and it keeps him reading even during the summer

As you can see, my daughter loved this book. She has had a hard time keeping an interest in chapter books, but she really looked forward to more chapters each night. She is also able to read any page herself as we go through the book. We will buy more books in this series.

What did you like best about Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales? What did you like least?

The narrator was far and away the best thing about this book. The grimm nature of some of the stories would be best suited for a mature 3rd grader to possibly 6th grade student.

What about the narratorss performance did you like?

Clearness, perfect diction, and well reined accent made it easy for children to understand.

Not your average fairytale!

Funny, fairy tales are always thought of as sweetness and light-these aren't! I wouldn't share these with a 3 year old! Pride, greed, murder...but excellent ways to teach morals. Wonderfully told too. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Buy the CD Instead

Nothing wrong with the stories but the book is downloaded as a singe 3-hour track. Even when burned to CD the tracks don't correspond with the stories so you cant't jump to the story you want. A waste of time.

Ordered this book as a Christmas gift for a lovely young lady. She loved it. She couldn't put it down and read it quickly.

In the series Nancy Drew Notebooks by Carolyn Keene, the main character Nancy Drew is always solving mysteries. For example, in the book Nancy Drew and the Sandcastle Mystery, Nancy, Bess and George are wondering who smashed their building. And they built it for a contest.

My favorite Nancy Drew book is Bad Day for Ballet because I used to take ballet and it's very fun to do. I'm not going to give the ending away because I want you to find out what happened and if it turns out to be a real bad day for ballet.

What I enjoy about the series is the mysteries and characters. I think people who should read this series are people who like very fun mysteries. Also you might want a notebook like Nancy Drew. She writes whatever happens. And I also have a notebook like Nancy Drew. Whenever I read the Nancy Drew series, I feel like a detective too!
