    Publisher's Summary:
Attorney and novelist Tim Green leaped onto best seller lists with The Dark Side of the Game, his nonfiction account of life inside the National Football League. In The Letter of the Law, he serves up a thrilling dose of fictional legal intrigue in the tradition of John Grisham and James Grippando.
When world-famous law professor Eric Lipton is seen driving away from the home of his horribly mutilated student - and is later caught fleeing the country with the woman's bloody underwear - the case seems open and shut. But ambitious defense attorney Casey Jordan is a master at injecting reasonable doubt into the minds of jurors. Somewhere between legal maneuvering and the letter of the law, however, Casey finds her own doubts rising to the surface - and her life in jeopardy from a remorseless killer!
Fast-paced and compelling, The Letter of the Law showcases Tim Green as a major author of legal thrillers. Richard Poe's powerful narration leads listeners relentlessly through each unpredictable twist and turn.

    Okay...not great!
I was not really sure how to rate this book. I have read another book by Mr. Green that I loved. His novel Exact Revenge was his Count of Monte Cristo story, which is a favorite of mine, so I went into it with already knowing I was going to like it. But his books get such mixed reviews, I wasn't sure if I would read any others. So, with that said, I read great reviews for the sequel to Letter of the Law, so I decided to try it, knowing I had to read this one first. It was okay....not great. I didn't hate the characters like so many other reviewers did, at least the main character was honest with herself about her flaws. And I loved the character of the vicim's father. Don't know if we will see him again or not. But anyway, the story was good, even if it seemed not very plausible, and it kept me reading so I could see what happened. Not great, just okay.
    Enjoyed it very much
Lots of twists and very interesting. Enjoyed it very much. Book arrived on time and
was securely packaged. I would do business with this dealer again.
    Four Stars
    Worth reading-his best "exact revenge"
Really nice read on a plane, but good anywhere.
Enjoyed this book on plane rides from Tucson to Raleigh and back. Always enjoy Tim's legal suspense novels, but they really help to pass the time pleasantly on airplanes.
    Another great story Mr. Green
Finally a book that I did not want to put down as I made the turn at the halfway mark. This was a well written story that flowed well from beginning to end. Another one of Tim Green's addictive stories.

    CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER....
This one makes you larger and this one makes you small - this one makes you happy and this one makes you sad: cigarettes, owned by THE TWINS, one dark, one fair, both deadly.
And so goes the tale of THE SO BLUE MARBLE, Dorothy B. Hughes fiction noir. My favorite genre, one of my favorite authors. Thank you Kindle Unlimited, where I got to read and listen to this finely tuned story for free! Will be buying it anyway, the next time the book goes on sale (hint, hint to anyone who might be in charge of these things!). The narration for this title was SO. WELL. DONE, that this is one audiobook I can listen to again and again. What a terrific performance!
I also look forward to reading the book in print as reading is almost always somewhat of a different experience than listening, but Im sure this one will be equally fine. I read her RIDE THE PINK HORSE which, oh, I thought was just great right from the first page: I really like this author!!
    Okay thriller
Disappointing crime story with clueless characters trapped in situations that a sane person would have avoided. I never cared about any of the spoiled and stupid members of the upper class who filled the story.

    Returning
I liked the first book in the series. The second one had issues, but I thought I would give this third one a try. I have just returned it.
Honestly, the characters are just weird. I understand jumping when someone startles you, but do you try to strangle that person in a public place? In broad daylight? This action was the last straw. Lots of other weird attempts at creating tension caused I a heroin who is to inapt to live, added to my dislike of this book. Example: she just happens to hit the speaker button on her cell phone as her sister-in-law makes him incriminating statement at a time the room is quiet, so the cops hear it. I just got tired of bumbling this and bumbling that for comedic or dramatic effect.

    good book for walking
this was the first book I bought to start my walking program. glad I did!
    Charming cozy mystery
Would you consider the audio edition of Behind the Walls to be better than the print version?
The audio edition does bring the characters to life to a certain extent. Loved the hollow sound for when she was talking to herself. Seemed strange to be read by a man for a female lead, but then most of the other characters were male.
What did you like best about this story?
Despite the fact that there are murders, there is no grisly description. Lots of human interaction that seemed quite realistic.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Every time I had to quit listening, I was eager to return.

    Newfoundland thriller
Quite a different storyline, a little old fashioned style but a great diversion. The newfli language i a good part of the story.
    Great story, characters, and setting!
Wow, this is a thrilling, fast-paced whodunit set at a hunting lodge in the wilds of Newfoundland. Retired sheriff Keenan Fitzpatrick is reluctantly chosen as the unofficial investigator after one of the guests is shot. One by one, more guests and hunting guides are eliminated as the suspect list rises. Very suspenseful and tense, with great character development, and the author's use of the Newfie accent by the locals really gave it an authentic flavor that made me feel like I was right there. This book felt like a real-life version of the game Clue, with different suspects, different weapons/methods of death, and all happening at various areas in and around the lodge. This is the twelfth Trevor Scott book that I've read, and not only is it a complete departure from all the others, it is, in my opinion, also his best effort yet. I enjoyed this one immensely. Give us more Fitz, please!
    A good read
An enjoyable read. I got to like the "sheriff" and I look forward to the next book in the series.
    Suspense
Makes a person remember that nothing in life is free. Great plot that makes everyone a suspect until the climax of the novel.
    Great location for a mystery.
Bein a hnter,, I was intriqued from the start. The author does an excelent job of covering the sub-plots. Woul likedto have more detail of the lodge itself.

Looking to pick up another book in the Chase Dagger Series ...
This was my first book from the Chase Dagger Series. I discovered this book via BookBub and got it free or for $1.00. I didn't feel at a loss by not having read Books 1-4 in the Series. This one seemed pretty self-contained. The characters were well developed and the author did a fine job giving me a glimpse into their thinking and actions without having read other books in the Series.. The supernatural edge to the story was enjoyable even though parts of the book dragged a little. In the end, the author kept me reading. I'm looking forward to looking into one of the other books in the series.
    Strange and very good.
A strange and very good read.
This one starts with Sheila Monroe working as a reporter. She's with a paranormal group investigating a supposedly haunted mansion. The lights have gone out and candles just ain't doing it.
The paranormal group consists of Flea, the electronics whiz, Josh the founder and Venus the medium. They have visited many places looking for ghosts and think the Sebold mansion has a history of death. Its a good place for a paranormal group to ghosthunt.
Of course Sheila will be looking to discredit the group as she thinks they are a bunch of idiots and there are no such things as ghosts. How wrong she turns out to be.
There is a driving thunderstorm outside and Sheila thinks she sees someone or something. This entitiy tells her she needs to STOP HIM.
Sheila, in the dark, catchs her toe on something and slams into the wall. From there she hits the floor with her head and passes out.
Dagger is recovering from wounds he suffered in the underground city. He really thinks he needs to leave Cedar Point and Sara. He's having a hard time dealing with all he learned in the underground city.
Sara tells Simon she thinks his mental wounds are much more serious than the physical wounds he suffered.
Padre Martinez and the Cecar Point PD get called in when Sheila Monroe disappears.
So begins one damned fine read.
This one has Dagger, Sara, Padre, Skizzy, Sheila, Venus, Josh, Flea, a man named Jensen, another man named Walker, a girl named Julie, another girl named Colleen, two skeletons in a dried up well, a portal, thunderstorms, murder and Dagger and Sara trying to figure the whole thing out.
    Five Stars.
    Love this series
This book carries on the saga of Chase Dagger and his partner, Sara Morningsky, and I am relieved to find that the writing has improved and is more like the earlier books than the last volume. A very inventive and captivating tale, with good character development and plot twists.

Wordsmith Jaine Austen's ship has finally come in. Her new teaching gig on a fancy cruise line nabs her a free vacation--and access to a 24-hour buffet! But sooner than you can say "bon voyage," Jaine's all-expenses-paid trip to the Mexican Riviera seems destined to be a wreck
Things are already off to a rocky start when Jaine discovers a stowaway amidst her luggage--her persnickety cat Prozac. Jaine's sinking sensation grows stronger at dinner, where she meets chatty Emily Pritchard, a wealthy seventy-year-old who's traveling with her two nephews. Jaine can't help noticing the tension among them, especially when the cruise's charming--and sleazy--British dancer, Graham, whisks Emily out onto the dance floor.

Between hiding a furry fugitive, flirting with Emily's nephew Robbie, and baiting the hook for a clever murderer, Jaine is about to dive into her most dangerous case yet
    Members Reviews:
I like this fun, light cozy murder-mystery series
I consider this book (and series) "brain candy," akin to the whole Hamish MacBeth series, but what a delightful read when you want something with a little whodunit in it that will also make you laugh out loud. The protagonist, Jaine, is utterly charming and hapless, and the cast of characters that run throughout this series provide depth and comedy without appearing wooden or stereotypical. In my reading so far (I have almost all of Levine's books), there is always a murder, plenty of antics, and a few entertaining screwballs. This book won't give you high drama, particularly if you read the series (it's not always obvious who the "bad guy" is, but you can bet that they will be found out and the plot will be wrapped up in a neat little bow), but although some of the shenanigans seem a little formulaic they are written (and read) in a way that come across as hilarious anyway. Pressley is the perfect narrator for the voice of Jaine, and she also delivers on all of the other characters (male and female) in a way that is believable yet also maintains the humor of the situation. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a series of light-hearted cozy murder mysteries.
    A great read
I love this series. The humor, mystery, cat and great narrator are what make this so great!
Poor combo of writing and narration
I found the narrator annoying. She sounded like an adult talking to a baby. I did not enjoy this book.
    Jane stumbles through another mystery
This is an entertaining and funny series. Jane bends over backward to keep Prozac by her side and has the worse working vacation ever. But, through it all Jane keeps her cool and manages to stumble through another mystery with her usual silly antics. I'll be starting the next book in a couple of days.

After 35 riveting, internationally acclaimed novels of psychological suspense, number-one New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Kellerman returns with his most stunning thriller to date. Killer is a mesmerizing L.A. noir portrayal of the darkest impulses of human nature carried to shocking extremes.
The City of Angels has more than its share of psychopaths, and no one recognizes that more acutely than the brilliant psychologist and police consultant Dr. Alex Delaware. Despite that, Constance Sykes, a sophisticated, successful physician, hardly seems like someone Alex needs to fear. Then, at the behest of the court, he becomes embroiled in a bizarre child custody dispute initiated by Connie against her sister and begins to realize that there is much about the siblings he has failed to comprehend. And when the court battle between the Sykes sisters erupts into cold, calculating murder and a rapidly growing number of victims, Alex knows hes been snared in a toxic web of pathology.
Nothing would please Alex more than to be free of the ugly spectacle known as Sykes v. Sykes. But then the little girl at the center of the vicious dispute disappears and Alex knows he must work with longtime friend Detective Milo Sturgis, braving an obstacle course of Hollywood washouts, gangbangers, and self-serving jurists in order to save an innocent life.
Killer is Kellerman - and Delaware - at their finest.
