Publisher's Summary:
Maximus never thought his life would change so dramatically. Orphaned from a horrible accident caused by unicorns, the youngster is adopted by the Royal family who just lost their own son the same night. The love Maximus receives from the ruler of Forestrial, King Drummond, is exactly what he needs the most. Queen Zelebeth, on the other hand, has a closed heart and wants nothing to do with Maximus. She despises him.
Forestrial is a story based around a very serious problem; the loss of a child. Told with creativity and humor in a fantastical and creative setting, the outrageous characters are as animated and wacky as can be. With magic, abiding love and preposterous villainy, Forestrial is a story of loss and a story of redemption. It is a story of a failure to endure. And, it's funny. It's absurd. It's ethereal as human emotion itself, and it's unlike any other story ever written.
Members Reviews:
Definitely take a chance on this. Great read from two new authors.
The book starts off fast in the perspective of Kaz and places you in a very unique and intriguing world. A lot of characters are thrown at you in the first chapter, but the authors do a great job explaining each personality and their role as the story unfolds. After only a few chapters I was able to picture the different characters in my head and could relate myself to most and disliked those trying to hurt the country of Forestrial. It's a fast pace narrative that keeps you guessing... its a hard book to put down once you dive in. I highly recommend you check it out.

I took a chance with this book and I am glad I did. I am a real nerd when it comes to fantasy and fiction. It was a quick read that offered many different insights. I personally think that if the length of the story was extended, deeper plot points, and there was a thorough explanation of the characters and who they are, it would have escalated this story immensely. Definitely not a waste of my time.
Non-stop action from start to finish!
Sections are fast paced fun reads, and the characters are original and well developed. Forestrial: The Star-Spirit Chronicles had the feel of a mix between Game of Thrones and Harry Potter yet it was fresh and nostalgic in its own right. I can't wait for the sequel!
I love sci-fi/magic so my verdict is Forestrial
The book tells an orphan's rise to the top as he battles adversity on a planet in a different dimension from ours. I love sci-fi/magic so my verdict is Forestrial: The Star- Spirit Chronicles is definitely worth a read!

I think this "book" needs to go back to the "writing" board. I don't feel the authors presented their characters very well because I could not create a picture in my mind as to what the characters even looked like. Very superficial descriptions so you can't relate or like/dislike a character. I also had a hard time understanding the setting or this world they were trying to create. The beginning of the book was so choppy and jumped around it was hard to follow. It did not flow as a story, it was more like " let me tell you about this, now let me tell you a bit of something else and so forth".
