    Critic Reviews:
"Scotland's answer to E.L. James." (Sunday Post)
"A reader favourite...this fourth instalment will knock your socks off. Fans of romance and bad boys will dump their book boyfriends for Marco, who steals the show in this unforgettable love story. The author's voice can be heard loud and clear through the characters' personalities and true-to-life emotions...moves fast without missing a beat." (RT Book Reviews)
"Young and her publishers are really missing a potential sponsorship deal, with her On Dublin Street Series. They should do some sort of tie in with Red Bull and Kleenex, because once you start the latest instalment in the series you will not be able to put Fall from India Place down till you have finished it.... [Young] crafts a tale that has both heart and enough steam and sexy 'bedroom' scenes that the pages sizzle.... To me, she is one author who I compare all others to." (Book Mood Reviews)
"A heart-stopping, gripping story that you won't be able to put down!" (Into the Bookcase)

Disappointing addition to a good series
This book starts slowly and never really improves. The writing gets bogged down with the life of the h and references to the storylines in past books. All the past couples are living their happily ever after and if you have read the books, this is redundant information. If you havent read the books this is confusing and distracting, with loads of names and information that are not really relevant to this story.
The h of this story annoyed me. She is stunningly pretty, with lots of men interested in her, but she is hung up on a teenage crush that ended badly and refuses to date because of this. She is educated, privileged, has a great life and is surrounded by a group of friends and family that love and care for her. Therefore her obsession with her past came across as a bit of a self-indulgent pity party. I realise that she had a bad experience, but I found it difficult to respect someone who lets one bad experience rule their emotions, particularly as every other aspect of her life was storybook perfect and she had an overwhelming amount of support around to help her. (The fact that nobody noticed what she experienced seemed completed unlikely).
Her teenage crush had obviously been struggling with his own issues his life was undeniably crappy - and on the first night they slept together he ran out on her and disappeared from her life.

    Nice read
Nice read but a little slow at times!
But a great holiday read and relaxing to listen too
    Italian romance at its best.
I really enjoyed this book. Wonderful characters and a lovely story. I felt like I was there with them in the sunshine. Is there a sequel? I want to know what happened to them all next.
Predictable but an enjoyable holiday listen.
I listened to this audio book whilst on holiday, lying on the beach. A good choice for a holiday 'read' and an enjoyable story despite being pretty predictable.
The narrator had a very convincing Italian accent, but throughout the rest of the narrative her voice was clipped and rather expressionless & she seemed to cut the sentences up into shorter phrases which didn't flow naturally. For me this spoiled my enjoyment of what should have been an atmospheric holiday 'read'.
    What a beautiful story
If you have even a slightly sentimental personality, this is a story you must hear.
I think Nicky Pellegrino has written a wonderful story, and the narration by Jane McDowell makes it come alive, you see yourself there in every scene and feel for every character,Thankyou.

Poorly edited, didn't care for the narration
The premise and storyline seemed promising, but it started slowly and took a long time to warm up.
Early on, I found the narrator's mis-pronunciations of Zumba (as "zumm-ba") and ramen noodles (as "ray-men", used multiple times) as well as several other words to be a distraction.
Lisa Scott also has a narration style similar to that of Amy Rubinate, using a "hyped" voice as though she is doing a news radio show, rather than the conversational style of the book material, and ending sentences heavily on the last letter of the last word -- particularly if the word ended with an "s", a "sh" or a soft g as at the end of "cabbage". Again, this served as a distraction throughout the book as the narration called attention to itself rather than being useful in bringing the written material to life.
Additionally, the narrator frequently repeated lines, either that were read in the wrong voice or with an inflection she didn't like and wanted to do over, but the outtakes were never edited away. This continued throughout the entire book.
Unfortunately, it turned out to be a poorly-used credit on my audible account.

    Genres: Fiction, Chick Lit
    Publisher's Summary:
Lottie Carlyle faces a bittersweet romantic dilemma in Jill Mansell's engaging best seller, Making Your Mind Up - not to be missed by fans of Lucy Diamond and Milly Johnson.
Lottie Carlyle isn't looking for love when she meets her new boss, Tyler Klein. Living in a beautiful cottage with her two adorable - sometimes - kids in an idyllic village in the Cotswolds, on good terms with her ex-husband and with friends all around, she's happy enough with her lot. But Tyler's perfect for Lottie, and quickly she falls for him - and he for her.
Unfortunately, there's a problem. For reasons that are totally unfair, Lottie's children hate Tyler. When a rival for Lottie's affections comes on the scene in the shape of charmer Seb, the children adore him, and he's certainly a distraction. But he's not Tyler - and he's not even at all what he seems.
Lottie's got a problem - but thanks, in classic Jill Mansell style, to a tobogganing accident and a delicious series of mix-ups, all will be revealed, and true love will find a way.

    Brilliant!
A nice gentle story with great characters all of whom were totally believable, I became thoroughly immersed in the story, I shall miss the characters now it ha ended.
    Annoying Narrator
What did you like best about Making Your Mind Up? What did you like least?
I found the story to be quite light hearted and typical chick-lit, but I have read a few of Jill Mansell's books and have enjoyed them.
Who was your favorite character and why?
    I didn't have a favourite character.
What didnt you like about Julia Franklins performance?
When doing the voices of the male characters, particularly, Tyler Klein, she put on an annoying creaky, throaty voice as though she was trying to do a very bad Clint Eastwood impression. For Klein, the character's dialogue and voice just didn't work together. The other male characters weren't much better. Tom's Geordie accent was unconvincing, and the other characters sounded pompous and bad tempered all the time. A terrible performance. Too overdone! I've avoided the other audiobooks with her narration because I was so put off.
Could you see Making Your Mind Up being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?
Yes. I'm not a fan of 'film stars' though, so couldn't care less who played the characters - as long as they were convincing.
    Dull, predictable and not believable
This might not have been too bad as some trashy chick lit to read but really wasn't worth listening to, an overly long meandering story with not particularly likeable, superficial characters and 2 completely unrelated plots - both of which were pretty silly - running concurrently. I also found the narrators attempt at children's voices really grating. I don't normally review, but I really did feel this audiobook was a huge waste of time and money.
    hilarious! r
Rip roaringly funny in places. Uncomplicated plot and easy listening by Jill Mansell. highly recommended

Nadia Knows Best is a romance from the Sunday Times best-selling Jill Mansell, whose titles are must-listens for fans of Cathy Kelly and Lucy Diamond.
When Nadia Kinsella meets Jay Tiernan and the weather traps them in a remote Cotswold pub, she's tempted. Of course she is. But Nadia's already met the one. She and Laurie have been together for years - they're practically childhood sweethearts, and she still gets butterflies in her stomach at the sight of him. Okay, so maybe she doesn't see that much of him these days, but that's not Laurie's fault. She can't betray him.
Besides, when you belong to a family like the Kinsellas - bewitchingly glamorous grandmother Miriam, feckless mother Leonie, stop-at-nothing sister Clare - well, someone has to exercise a bit of self-control, don't they? I mean, you wouldn't want to do something that you might later regret....

I enjoyed reading this book, it is a funny, light hearted romantic comedy perfect for a lazy afternoon read on the sofa.
    Spellbinding
Hilarious, laugh out loud funny, and very, very clever!
I've wondered occasionally what spells I'd make if I was given the chance to carry some out and in this book, Josie Goodwin has that opportunity when, on her 27th birthday, she inherits the power and a spell book from her gran. The results of Josie's attempts to change things/people around her are brilliant and I loved every moment I spent reading this book. Filled with beautifully written characters and unexpected twists, I truly couldn't put this book down.
A deliciously fun, clever, romantic comedy; I loved it!
