Fascinating

This was a fascinating look into what one man can do to overtake, build up and destroy a business.

A very interesting listen. Quick and entertaining.

It's hard to believe that people can get away with this kind of unethical behavior, but we see time and time again that is the case.

Sad Story of Corruption

This is a sad story. Helmer Toro is despicable if this story is accurate. All of the people that believed in him that were let down should come forward to corroborate this book. It is not the company or the delicious bagels that were upsetting. It was the man who had his insurance taken from him with no warning so he couldn't receive his cancer treatment. It was all the paycheck to paycheck workers that stayed until the end thinking that Helmer was working to save them. If this account is factual, Helmer Toro should be a full time inmate at Ryker Island and not just a 'weekend warrior'.

Dennis St. John did a good job narrating this material.

Amazingly motivating

It's been a while since I've read a book so inspiring. I believe some books are motivational and some are inspiring. The difference between motivation and inspiration is that motivation fades away with time but inspiration stays with you forever. I will forever remember the lessons in this book and try to apply them. I highly recommend this book to anyone in business or generally trying to make something of themselves.

I could sum up this book as "make a quality product with catchy name, write good descriptive listings, take good photos, pay for ads, manage issues".

No substance or tangible takeaways for anyone looking to learn Amazon. Book appears to be a part of their sales funnel to get you to go to their website for "free information" after which they will ask you to pay for the real substance.

What did you like best about The KAVAJ Case? What did you like least?

I would consider this more of a Case Study or White Paper - not so much an actual book.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

As a case study it was interesting but, lacked detail in some parts, like how they got started, what were initial expenses.

Good information on dealing with suppliers and supply chain. I wouldn't call it a Blueprint. A Blueprint has many layers. You can't start the frame without a foundation. You can't pour the foundation without preparation.

This Blueprint starts with the inspector signing off on the work you've already done. (I.e. I've decided on a product and here's what happened)

Like I said: It's a Case Study - which is fine - but call it what it is.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The book is clearly written in the first person - so, the enthusiasm from the narrator was okay - but simply - read as you would - in a classroom.

Could you see The KAVAJ Case being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Hell-No. Even if it was - there is nothing unique about it.

I enjoyed the book. It has first hand experiences on developing a brand and selling it on Amazon. There were things I learned from this book that I haven't heard in other books I have read on selling on Amazon. The best part is the info was presented amongst a captivating story that I would have enjoyed even if I wasn't interested in starting a business selling on Amazon.

A must share book!

Carly Fiorina's story is encouraging. She expresses her story through strong values and a strong foundation. She has tremendous skill in observation, reflection and vision for our future as a people and a country.

Kimberly Farr's voice was steadfast, but not dull or tiring. Between what Mrs. Fiorina's wrote and Ms. Farr's voice I was captivated and only stopped listening due to other commitments.

I am going to share this book with my daughter and sons. I believe that her words will inspire them to continue on their journey to work for a positive tomorrow for themselves, their children and their community. I am proud of my adult children and believe in their potential!!!

Maybe she will consider another run for the White House in 2020!

Flowed very well and was very interesting to hear how someone goes from nothing to a few Billion!

Didn't have a clue who this guy was so took a punt. Turns out he started OK! mag and ended up buying channel 5 and the Express newspaper - so a kind of Rupert Murdoch but less famous.

Great read!

Jorge Newberry has lived a very interesting life and, with his writing style, that translates to a very entertaining memoir full of humor, sadness and most of all, hope. I highly recommend this audiobook.

Very Inspirational!

This book was absolutely awesome! I love the way that the author boldly tells the truth as it is. Many people will be afraid of repercussions. You have to admire someone who can stand up to city officials in the mass media. In my life I have been very much wronged by a city court judge. The complaint board does not seem to care. This book has inspired me to take it to the media. Something that only God knows what the repercussions will be.

Don't waste a credit

I barely made it an hour into the story...which really isn't so much a story as a self aggrandizement of the author. If you're looking for a lesson as the preview promised, this isn't it.
