    Publisher's Summary:
In 1863 a meeting takes place between legendary war Ieaders - a secret alliance that will never show up in any American history books. A clandestine arrangement has been struck for a single chance to heal a war-torn nation. The mission is to bring the greatest prize in the world back to American soil - remnants of prehistory's greatest ship and most startling mystery. The prize may lie on a mountaintop inside the fierce Ottoman Empire, yet the men who seek it are only days away from trying to kill one another.
In 2007 America's darkest agency, known to only a privileged few as the Event Group, has been tasked by the president to bring home a famous former astronaut who was on a mission to bring back the greatest biblical artifact - Noah's Ark. It will be up to the newly installed director of security at Department 5656, Major Jack Collins, and his team of brilliant men and women to rescue the archeological expedition from forces that will kill to keep the mysterious artifacts inside the territorial borders of Turkey.

A Perfect Prequel for the Event Group
This was another excellent installment to the Event Group. The story explores the origins of the Group, and what was essentially the founding mission. I wasn't sure that I'd enjoy it, as it introduces a whole new cast of characters from an earlier time. But it didn't take long until I was hooked.
The characters were fascinating, once I could keep them straight as to who was who. And an interesting aside was a really interesting look into the feelings of the various people following the American Civil War. The story offered a view into that situation that I really didn't expect.
Although the story didn't tie up as neatly as I'd expected, it still was a satisfying tale, with all of Golemon's trademark spookiness, character development, and plausibility.
As for Richard Poe? He is the Event Group. I can't imagine listening to an Event Group book without him as the narrator. His in-imitable style defines the group, and added one more satisfying element to the story.
    David Golemon Did It Again
The Mountain was a great reading experience. I could not stop listening to the story nor put the book down! David Golemon's Event Group Series are some of best book to read. The Mountain Pre-qual brings a new direction for the reader and opens new story lines and characters to enjoy.
    Good...but not what I expected
Don't get me wrong...this is a really good book. I love this author and was anxiously waiting for the next Event Group book. Finally, it's here...or so I thought. This book is really a back story for one of the artifacts. I was truly disappointed that I only got about 10 minutes of Jack and the gang. if your looking for an entertaining story, you got it. If your looking for an Event Group thriller, save your money.
    Excellent story and narration.
If you could sum up The Mountain in three words, what would they be?
    Thrilling, humorous and unexpected
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
I found the plot quite thrilling and entertaining.
What does Richard Poe bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
He does a great job of creating a cast of distinct characters.

    Two FANTASTIC Books In One!!
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
YES! This is the type of book I like listening to but so many fall short I have had the first in this series in my wish list for a long time but have been on the fence. When this came out I could not have been happier and bought it immediately. SORRY I waited so long
Have you listened to any of R. C. Brays other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes I have and as always R C Bray gave a superb performance. He has made it onto my Top 5 narrator list.
    Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed both of these books. Nick Bracco is a man who is great at his job of tracking down terrorists but they are tracking him as well. When they can't get him they choose his wife instead to draw him out. Even after he retires there are still terrorists out for his blood with a vendetta. Nick has a secret weapon, his Italian family who happen to be mob related. It's funny but you find yourself rooting for bad/good guys! They're kind of "nice" bad guys?¿ These books have well written plots, excellent character development and very believable situations. I looked for more but none, I sincerely hope that there are future books in this series.
    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
If you found this review helpful please indicate so.
    Thank You.
Now I have two favorite narrators. Thanks Mr Bray! Very talented!
Loved this, can't wait for the next one! Excellent narration by R. C Bray. I plan to listen to him.
    Action Packed, Loved the characters!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would absolutely recommend this to my friends and have. I'm usually a Sci-fi and Horror kind of guy but this book had me hooked from the go!
What does R. C. Bray bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
R.C. Bray is definitely one of my FAVORITE narrators. His unbelievable range of characters and voices cant help but take every book he narrates to the next level.
    Dynamic duo
RC Bray is top notch. Gary Pongo tells a great tell. What else can you say?
    There's trouble in them hills
Would you consider the audio edition of The Nick Bracco Omnibus to be better than the print version?
I thought the audio version was well worth the credit and I know the way the characters were presented was as any characterization I could have created.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Nick Bracco Omnibus?
Woah? Pick one ...that would be impossible, but the scenes with Tommy are outstanding.
Tommy a views on life are classic,
Which character as performed by R. C.

    Good early Crichton
This is a decent Crichton thriller. Its got a fast pace, increasing tension and reasonably good characters. The evil genius villain is a bit overdone, and some of the story requires significant suspension of disbelief. But overall it works even if you can guess some of it
    Fast paced, explosive, and fun.
Looking for a quick read that doesn't require too much thought or attention, but also doesn't insult your intelligence? Look no further.
Binary is a fast paced thriller that will keep you turning the pages as quickly as you can read. Easy to complete in 1 or 2 sittings. Great characters, strong plot, and a good villain male this a read that will keep you entertained from the first page to the last.

A good read and a cure for frustration
Purchased on the cheap as Whispersync courtesy of ebookshabit.
Paced as fast as an Uzi and as opinionated as a locker room full of female SWAT members, this book of insights into the past of the operative known as JET is well worth the effort whether to background or predetermine one's interest in the series. Won't tell you where I fall, but it's fun for me to note that the operative and I share initials. If justified violence is you style, you will love this series!
Wright gives an excellent performance and does add to the text.
Prequel to the JET series about an incredible...
...female (Israeli) Mossad agent. The action is fast and furious and the suspense if intense and sustained. This is a wonderful espionage novel and first in the JET series. Braden Wright narrates superbly. Highly recommended!!
    Not what I expected.
I'll be going to the checkout when I push submit here to buy the second book of Jet, originally the first book. I thoroughly enjoyed this prequel so I'm really looking forward to this next one. So why didn't I "five" out Jet-Ops Files? A handful of little things. First of all, this is probably the fourth book in the last 30 days that has had "do overs" that were not edited out so I listened to the same passage twice. Definately messes up the flow of the book, especially an action scene! I lay this at Audible's feet, not the author or narrator. The narrator did a very good job and went from soul introspection to cutting a jugular with a credit card with no problem. His emphasis and emotions were well done, not a "farm report" monotone in the book! A couple of mispronounceations but nothing drastic that takes from the book. So I'm going to spend a credit on the next Jet and hope it's just as entertaining!
    OK... I'm hooked on Jet
OK, I'm hooked on Jet / Mia and can look forward to 3-4 weeks of her adventures.
    JET is one BAD Chic
Love this! Great audio read, just the right amount of tension and nerves. The story is pieced together seamlessly. It's about time we had a female hero that lives to fight another day and boy can she fight and think under pressure!! Can't wait to audio the rest of the series! Go Russell Blake, you have MAD SKILLS!!

The world's most elite counter-terrorist operators....
A cyber-security guru suddenly getting shot at and blown up rather more than usual....
And nuclear-armed terrorists rolling with impunity through a lawless and brutal virtual world....
The year is now. Islamist terrorists hack into America's most sensitive defense networks, launch chemical weapons attacks on Western cities, and stage a raid on vulnerable nuclear weapons storage facilities in Pakistan. They are using a massively multiplayer online video game (or "virtual world") as a platform for planning and rehearsing their attacks - forcing a squad of supremely elite Delta Force operators (reinforced by an info-security expert from the Department of Homeland Security) to go inside the game to fight them.
But the fight only begins there. Get ready for breath-stealing action in every known battle space - clockwork urban safehouse takedowns, combat helicopter assaults, brutal ambushes in the trackless mountains, waterborne SEAL team ops, precision close-quarters battle sequences, and CheyTac Intervention sniper rifle systems that can kill you from a mile and a half away.
These weapons, tactics, tech, and 21st-century warriors will be unlike anything you've ever heard of before.

    Wow! What a ride!
Where does D-Boys rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
This was my first audiobook, so I didn't quite know what to expect. I'd listened to a few audio dramas, but never an audiobook. Once I got the feel of the experience, I was good. It was fast-paced, with a story line that kept you wanting more.
What was one of the most memorable moments of D-Boys?
The story was very interesting. At first blush it seemed "out-there", but after further reflection seemed plausible, if not a situation being faced now, behind the scenes.
What about Kevin Arthur Harpers performance did you like?
Kevin did a good job or personalizing each character, while maintaining the ambiance of the book.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
The story was fast-paced enough that had I the time, I would have listened to the book in one sitting. That said, I had it finished in three sittings. I never had to force myself to finish the book.
    Any additional comments?
    Great book, great listen. :)
    Creative well-written plot!
What did you love best about D-Boys?
The concept and plot was like nothing I've ever read before! Fuch's detailed research on how operators act and function.
What other book might you compare D-Boys to and why?
The Arisen series (same author). Also, Reflexive Fire (Deckard Series, Jack Murphy) - captures the spirit of special operations.
What about Kevin Arthur Harpers performance did you like?
Solid reading with good character transitions.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Actually no...because then it would be over too quickly!
    Any additional comments?
Need a D-Boys 3 and a story arch that links it to the Arisen series!
Great mix of elite warriors with a cyber battlespace
It took me a while to get used to the audio book style but once I did, I really go into the story. The narrator is able to create a slew of voices which makes the multiple-character scenes easier to follow and visualize.
The story itself is entertaining and fast paced.

    Publisher's Summary:
With the most recent bioterrorism threat against the United States neutralized and it's architect, Dr. Anatoly Reznikov, in custody, CIA Deputy Director Karl Berg proposes a more permanent solution to prevent future attacks: A covert raid by General Sanderson's Black Flag unit against Vektor Labs, deep inside Russia...to destroy a bioweapons program that should have ended with the Cold War.
The United States isn't the only nation looking to tie up loose ends. The sudden abduction of a CIA officer in Stockholm exposes the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service's (SVR) ruthless campaign to discover the truth behind the massacre of an elite Spetsnaz team sent to silence Reznikov. When the SVR investigation takes a turn that could threaten the mission against Vektor, Berg goes "off the books" like never before. Through an intricate web of unsavory alliances, deviously orchestrated political maneuvers, and shockingly brutal black-ops sanctions, Karl Berg will set in motion an unstoppable chain of events with the potential to ignite a new cold war.
Black Flagged Vektor continues the series' tradition of gritty, unapologetic storytelling, plunging listeners even deeper into the murky, shark-infested waters navigated by covert operators and their puppet masters.

There are still Soviet style secrets
What did you love best about Black Flagged Vektor?
Gives a fairly good impression of how drab and different Russian cities and apartment buildings, and life in them, can be. It can be an amazing country, but sometimes also very grey.
Did John David Farrell do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The narrator's characters are very good. The story bits between characters are not so good, a bit wildlife documentary. One thing I can't get past, and the reason for this review is I hate his consistent mispronunciation of Spetsnaz - its an S (from the cyrillic C, pronounced Ss) not Shhhhpetsnaz. Its really annoying. The SF group in Russia is Vimpel, not Vymepel, but that's less annoying as it doesn't get used as much. There are some other Russian words which are a bit off too, which is sort of understandable - but you'd think with key storyline elements such as how you say 'special forces' correctly in Russian would be kind of important.
    Outstanding
I don't usually get the audiobook but when I heard a sample of this one, I had to have it. This is one of the best read book I have ever heard.
    Narrowly researched,
If i Heard Novosibirsk like i had no clue where it was was pedantic, a Vince Flynn wannabe.

    Best In the Series Yet
The Spy Catcher series just keep getting better. I found this one the most suspenseful of all and fastest paced. Even though I missed appearances by Lathe and Roger, Emma turned out to be a wonderful new character, however brief her appearance. This was actually my second listen I just finished.
    Intelligent and well written enough
While we wait for the next Bourne Identity, Tinker, Tailor etc, I think this is a nice pastime.
Good character depth, good physical action, and good personal material.
A nice book! Recently, I've enjoyed David Ignacious' work which I also like. This is slightly more classic in style.
    Recommended.
    Excellent Entry To The Series
If you like the Spy Catcher series, you will like this installment. Fast paced, well narrated and keeps you interested. I don't know what took so long to get it to Audible however. Hopefully we will not be plagued by that in the future. If you like spy novels, this one should be right up your alley...
    Best to Date
I have read each book in the series and this is by far the best. I was engaged from the beginning and unlike most books, did not see the surprise twist coming at the end. Very enjoyable.
Dunn Sets New Standards For Spy Thrillers
Dark Spy's is a great thriller and keeps you in suspense right up until the end. Dunn raises the bar for all others to follow with strong characters and a plot that leads to a conclusion that will surprise all. A great read/listen and Rich Orlow brings it all to life with his usual great talent.

This story represents wonderfully written set of Cold War spy tales without political ideology that otherwise would bore its readers to death. The authors superb gift for developing its characters while telling its readers what seems like simple and yet believable spy narrative is Highly recommend reading...an added bonus is the superb reading performance by Mr James :Lailey, who sounds convincingly as the voice of none other but that of Bernard Simpson ..Five Stars all the way.. Meanwhile, in Virginia, an old spy hides from his past. Once, he was a man of action, an operative so dedicated that he abandoned his infant daughter to keep his cover. Now, he is the only man who can save Klara... and she is the only woman who can allow him to lay old ghosts to rest.

    Addictive
I listen to tons of audio books, since I am a) very short sighted and b) travel a lot. Most of my listening I do for entertainment and do not expect much in the way of "deep and meaningful". So this book was a total surprise. An exciting espionage story not full off predictable heroism and clear good and evil camps. if this story would happen, it wold happen like this. The discrepancy between US and European views and attitudes is brilliantly depicted and the narrators do their part bringing this story to life.
    Outstanding thriller
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
It did, because it moves back and forth between the story of a repentant CIA operative in the 80s and 90s and several young Swedes in 2013 caught up in a deadly hunt to destroy them.
Have you listened to any of Peter Ganim and Elisabeth Rodgers s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't, but I have to say that Elizabeth Roger's rendering of male voices is not very convincing.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There were several, but I won't say so as not to spoil it for other readers.
    Any additional comments?
I heartily recommend this book for readers who are interested in contemporary international intrigue.
    Spy Thriller with Heart
First off, I need to say that the narration was fantastic and was a central reason I enjoyed this book so much. The emotions and personality of the book's characters would not have resonated as deeply. Hearing their voices made it so much more authentic. I think in written form some might have come of more as caricatures.
I'm not normally someone who enjoys the spy thriller genre but this one hooked me. The desire of one character to atone for a past incident and connect with a loved one was the strong thread that held this story together for me.
It was fast-paced, had a wide variety of characters and provided an interesting look at the ramifications of "the war on terror" and the US' interference in the Middle East. I did find the ending of the "thriller" part of the book a bit too easy.
