Really Enjoyed This One

I think I liked book 2 better then book one. If you like paranormal romance, then you will like this series about the alien warriors finding their true loves here on earth while searching for others of their race here to commit horrible crimes. For a book with so much death, it was still a light read with most of the heavy stuff glossed over or resolved in a few pages. It has some mystery to it and left some questions to be answered in the next book. This one won't be for everyone, but really liked it.

Love It!

Finding My Faith is another great book in this series. The narration is very good and the plot pulls you in from the very beginning. I love the way the characters interact with each other. I look forward to more books from Carly Fall.

I just loved the first book in this series (The Light Within Me) so was excited to listen to this book. I can't finished it as the narrator is so bad. Very disappointing. :(

Rayner is no Noah from book 1, but still manages to hold is own. Faith is Native American with flaming red hair. She is on her own in the big city until a Colonist strikes and Rayner sees Faith in her spirit form. I have to commend the author on Rayner and Faiths unique relationship within the first half of the book. As their chemistry progressed Rayner fights his attraction and feelings because of his SR44 form, and Faith is frustrated with the wall he has built. The author teases the reader with their ongoing intimacy as that is one of the reasons Rayner battles to keep his SR44 form...

This collection was okay.

Okay, I have bought a couple of collections like this that were awful - bad writing, bad narration - total waste of time. This wasn't one of them. It was "fine". In the right mood for some silly sexy paranormal - (more angels than witches to be honest) fun this could be just the thing. There was nothing about it that made me want to turn it off, but also nothing about it that made me want to keep going. To be honest, half way through I got a bit bored and actually did go and listen to something else that I was more in the mood for. I did eventually come back to it though and finish it off. The writing is decent, the narration decent (it isn't one of those awful stiff narrations that makes some audio's unlistenable, but also wasn't a melt your panties narration).

Overall it was just okay. Worth the time if this is your kind of thing and you are in the mood for it, but not a pass up everything else and *definitely* get this one selection.

A fun story, wonderful narration!

What a fun story! Charity Parkerson masterfully combines the sexy and the paranormal in this series, creating engaging and believable characters and a hard-to-put down plot. The romance between Gideon, an angel and a fighter, and Skylar is sexy, erotic, exciting, and sweet -- all at the same time. Hollie Jackson's narration fits the style of the book perfectly. She's easy to listen to and does a great job with the different characters, especially in dialogue.

Ummmm....

So... if I can't keep my attention on the story... especially when I have my earbobs in... Well, guess I am bored, bored, and bored!

Hearts of Chaos

The Deadglass series is so different from all the other paranormal romance series out there is the vast sea of books it is incredibly easy to get sucked into them. If youâre a reader that has grown bored with paranormal romance I can highly recommend this series to break up the monotony. Brady has created a world filled with ancient deityâs, old legends, prophecies and mythologies, filled with dragons and other numerous other powerful shifters.

Lucia and Emory are deeply involved in one of those prophecies. An ancient prophecy that could easily be misinterpreted has Lucia either saving all or bringing it all down. Due to recent events she feels she has already caused too much chaos and destruction. An ancient power hungry evil wants to takeover and bring forth even more devastation. Lucia and Emory have to do what theyâve been avoiding most to save the Kivati and every single other living being that Tiamat sees as her subjects.

I have to admit Lucia is one of those characters that grows on you. At the beginning of the series I saw her a weak and far too child like to ever be a worthy female for the heroine for any book Iâd read. The events that have taken place since Hearts of Darkness have molded her into a brave and strong woman. I ended up liking her a great deal. Her fire thawed Emoryâs icy heart. She was absolutely what he needed in his life.

Hearts of Chaos may be the end of the Deadglass trilogy, but Kira Brady certainly has something more in store for her fans. Youâll just have to read the exciting conclusion to this exquisitely unique series to find out the little bit that I did. Iâm definitely looking forward to where she plans to take it.

The narrator's voice was easy on the ears. Smooth inflection and great delivery. I like narrations that are so part of the book that I don't get distracted by the narrator and just enjoy the story. The story was well developed and engaging. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

A fun book :)

What did you like best about King of the Unblessed? What did you like least?

I enjoyed the whole plot to be honest. I found it to be quite an enjoyable adult fairy-tale. I enjoyed the funny characters and their little banters and also how Michelle .M. Pillow wove the imagery into such fine words that I was able to picture the whole story. Over all I enjoyed the adventure, the silly banter and oh but of course the sex scenes :)

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I wasn't ready for it to end. It did what book series do, which is leave me wanting more, but also pleased with what I know has already taken place.

Have you listened to any of Ross Pendletons other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I have not, but after listening to his voice, that will be rectified. He has such a soothing voice and omg the voices he gives some of the characters had me laughing as well as enchanted. Let me just say I enjoyed listening to him quite a bit :)

Did King of the Unblessed inspire you to do anything?

It inspired me to want to listen to the narrator again and to grab another book by the same author.

Any additional comments?

Overall I found this book to be quite enjoyable and would give the book a thumbs up (a high 3.+ stars). I found that I liked things in this book more than I did not like things (which were quite few in # meaning that after listening to the whole book I can't even remember them). If you ever get a chance I suggest listening to this book or even picking up a copy just to read. Michelle .M.Pillow is an awesome author and I would suggest pretty much any of her books, and the narrator Ross Pendleton, let's just say I can listen to him anytime.

New Twist on a Familiar Creature

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend it to someone who likes stories about witches and werewolves and magic, yes. It's not the kind of genre I usually listen to but I ended up liking the idea of it well enough that I might listen to the next one in the series if it's available. Also the main character is really sweet and smart and sometimes funny. It's a fantasy story, but with people who are like real people.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the idea of what kind of creature Elle and her boyfriend actually are. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but to me it was a new idea. I liked it. I also liked the tenderness of the big love/sex scene. It was sexy but it was really about how the main character felt, not just body parts moving around. Lastly, it takes place in Scotland so there's Scottish accents and that was fun.

What does Francesca Townes bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

There's a lot of scenes where characters do a lot of talking back and forth and this narrator made that come alive like plot and story rather than just talking. This is the third one of this narrator's books I've reviewed. I like her a lot. I enjoy how she does characters, even men.

What a nice concept

This story is so much more than your average witch story. A nice concept for a new series. The narrator did an excellent job of distinguish between the characters. I highly recommend this audiobook. I'm anxiously waiting for the next installment.

Bad Accents ruin the Storyline

Would you try another book written by Eve Paludan and Stuart Sharp or narrated by Francesca Townes?

no. Considering the book is set in Scotland, you would think the narrator would be able to do a decent Scottish accent of some sort. Woefully irritatingly rubbish and ruins the listening

Wonderful!

I really enjoy the storyline that author Suza Kate's has set forth with writing the first book. Now, each story focuses on all the witches but mainly more light is shed on one witch. This story focuses on Willyn, she's a healer, a mother, and she's also religious. This time it's her turn to protect the coven and face some dark magic. This story is filled with mystery, finding clues, struggles, and packed with twist and turns along the way. Suza Kate doesn't disappoint!

Hollie Jackson, the narrator does another exceptional job in the second audio of The Savannah Coven series. You can tell that she's gotten familiar with the characters and the different accents she's given each character. She brings the story to life and you can't help but enjoy it from start to finish. I'm ready to listen to the third audio now. If you love stories about witches then don't let The Savannah Coven audios pass you by. A 5 star rating!

Love those Vampire Bites

I read Seduced by the Vampire King before I read In the Service of the King because it was the first one available on audible. I was confused upon reading the book because I fought it started in the middle of this fascinating world. So I decided to Google the author and immediately realized that I was one book ahead of the series. When I read In the Service of the King, everything in book two come together and finally made sense. This book is a short read but packs a lot into those three hours. A little romance, some intrigue and world building makes this book worth a listen. This book really does sit the stage for the next book in the series. I was happy to see it finally become available on audible. And I love Brock's voice, why oh why, couldn't he have done the other two.

Good for what it is

This is a sexy bedtime story. Definitely a decadent desert of a book - but homemade - not junk food. The narrator has a sexy voice and did well on both the male and female parts.

Would like to listen to a longer book by this author, one perhaps with just a bit more meat and potatoes. :)

Quick quickie

Sensual telling of vampires, mating, blooging, bonding .... There was much here that lead to a sensual world.

Brock gives an added richness.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The King so conflicted and passionate, he was really interesting the listen to.

What about Brock Thompsons performance did you like?

Oh goodness, was there something to not like? Brock has a great voice and he did excellent characters voices. His voice is fairly deep so I was surprised and impressed bu how well he did the female voices. I'll be looking for other books he's narrated.

I really liked this book, it's short, but it packs a punch. There's a fair bit of character and world building in this book, making it a great first book in a series.

There's lots of emotions and tension, and yes, some hot and steamy sex scenes.

A good purchase in my mind, I'll be listening to the next book shortly.
