Potential to be an interesting supernatural world

What did you like best about Being a Vampire in Retail Sucks? What did you like least?

I see that this is the 4th book in the series but the earlier books in the series aren't listed here or on Goodreads which is kind of strange. I definitely feel like I missed a lot of information by jumping into the story. The world is quite complex and potentially interesting with all kind of supernatural creatures. The main character is snarky and there are some funny bits. As someone who has worked in retail myself I can relate to the awfulness of having to be civil to completely unreasonable customers. I'm not sure I want to listen to a story relating these horrors but maybe it is more amusing for someone who hasn't experienced it! There is a romance with a few fade to black scenes so nothing graphic at all. The main character does swear so it's not completely clean if that kind of thing concerns you. I thought the writing was a bit amateur but the basic story was okay.

Have you listened to any of Molly Kings other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narration was good although I had a bit of a hard time understanding her when she was doing the low pitched male voices. Her voice really gave some personality to the main character. Each character was given a distinctive voice which I always like in an audiobook.

A Little Bit of Everything

I loved this book! Decided to listen to it on a 3 hour drive and time flew by! I was sad when I reached my destination and had to stop listening. Laughed so hard a few times I almost had to pull over. Highly recommended!

Walter, the main lead, has a chance at saving the Family Business.

The story line picks up from there with a bet and some games.

I only wish that the story was a little longer, but,

Overall, an interesting read filled with a bit of adventure, hope and a second chance.

Audrey Lusk did well with the narration.

This audiobook was given to me for a honest unbiased review. This book was fun and sexy. I love Shifter romances, and this one was good start for a series. This was a great short story. Just long enough to help you relax, and unwind. Hope for more with these characters. Will put this author on my automatic read list.

Katherine and Walter become friends and are a romantic couple at the end.

As nice as Walter is, Raymond is a loser.

No angst, not a lot of hotness ,but a nice sweet story I enjoyed. Just not exciting, but I like that every so often, relaxing.

I just dislike this narrator and her voice in the hot scene and any real emotion. It is very contrived and she sounds old.

Good story

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I thought the story was good. It is a shame that it is so short because it is actually equivalent to a chapter in a book. I bought the next two books. It can be expensive to read an entire book and pay for each chapter. The narrator did an okay job. Not one of my favorites.

Festy heroine

This audiobook was given by the author at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

Narah is a bounty hunter with snark and toughness. She doesn't know she is vampire. Two fractions are after her, one to turn her into a vampire and have children and one hunter to sterilize her. Fun dialogue decent story. Entertaining. The narrator turned me off by constant pauses...way too long and Eden's voice was horrible.

As the first book of the series it give a good explanation of the setting and what the book is about. The book starts with a vampire hunter and vampire all after the same woman for two completely different reason one wants her to turn into what she really is a vampire and give her the opportunity to have kids the other wants to sterilize her keeping her human. Only complaint is I wish it was a little longer but overall I like the premise and I am excited to start the other books. The narrator is very interesting it took me a little while to get used to her but she's great.

The names of the characters had me lmao! Gertie gets into magical trouble everywhere she goes and it makes for a brilliant story! Melanie James has a great imagination and she writes some of my favorite books. Hollie Jackson is the perfect narrator for Gertie and I love her Irish brogue.

This is a great book; this is the second book in the Tales from the Paranormal Plantation Series written by Melanie James and narrated by Hollie Jackson. Gertie decides to jazz up the Paranormal Plantation with another DIY project. She wants to paint the kitchen a fuchsia color, but when she mixes and uses the paint with a heavy dose of untried witchcraft, creating a strange time warping side effect. The next she realizes her and her paranormal posse land in the court of King Henry VII. This book has a wonderful story and well developed characters

The narrator Hollie Jackson did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.

If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read/listen to this book. I cant wait to read the next book by this author. Once I started listening to this book, I didnt want to stop until the end.

Melanie James Back to The Fuchsia narrated by Hollie Jackson is a wonderfully fun story about a witch who managed to find mischief everywhere she turns. Hollie does a wonderful job with Gerties Irish accent, as well as the other characters. I can't wait for more!

EVERYTHING!! Gertie is still one of my favorite characters in this series.

Compare to another book that is not one of Melanie's - no comparison, as it is definitely an original story. I guess if I had to compare it to anything - I could compare this series to Robyn Petermans Hot Damn Series.. Why? because they are both too funny and original stories I can listen to over and over again.

The sorry was decent. The narrator's voice was too childish and hard to pay attention. I struggled to finish this audible book.

Ok, when I think of a ménage romance, I don't include family, so when I saw twins are involved I found it odd.

Who knew two BILLIONAIRE dragons would have such a hard time dating they would resort to dating apps.

where to start?! from Gretta, Charlie, and Jane. to find their loves that they never thought could be. i don't know how to sum it up. this was good, no, a great story! well written! and love the love stories! I'm ready for another read by this author. New fan!

Vamps, werewolves, sorcerers and humans..

Part One: KEPT

Wow! What a great little story. I absolutely loved Dayne and Greta. Well, except for the part where she took the raw steak out of the fridge and ate it. I thought that was pretty gross. But mostly, I really liked the story. It was all about her running to Dayne, a sorcerer, to protect her from getting sacrificed. And, even though Jaden wasnt in it too much I liked her, too. And Simon got exactly what he deserved, the jerk. Anthony was kind of cool, too.

Yes, there was some pretty heated and explicit sex in this story.

Part Two: CLAIMED

So, Anthony messed up with Charlee and had to find a way to fix it. And then icky Linus shows up and ruins things, since he wants to go back to killing humans. Eventually, Anthony has to tell Charlee the truth, and overall that goes over pretty well, although Charlee trusts him even less now, thanks partially to the crap Jane told her. And Gregory should have given up on the tournament to choose who would be king of the vampires. LOL, he was pretty funny sounding in the audible version.

Hmmm, I dont remember any sex in this story.

Part Three: MATED

OK, I love Cole right off the bat, but it could just be the voice the narrator gave him. And I did like Paul in the other book but he turned into a real a-hole in this one. Wow, I just wanted him dead. The other thing I didnt like about this is when Cole and Jane started to make love, theyd been together for weeks and never even kissed, and as soon as they finally started kissing she put her hand between the two of them and started to stroke him. Really? How unromantic is that? Suddenly, I didnt care if they had sex or not, I was so bummed about Janes actions.

Awe...what a cute little wedding story!! I really like Winter and Natasha...they are my fave so far, and I cant wait to hear more of this series...I hope book 3 comes out asap!! I completely recommend this little short story!!!

After finally getting back together, Winter and Nat are getting married. But first, the bachelor and bachelorette parties must occur! Nat is swept away on a girl's weekend for chatting, drinking and spa time. Winter goes out with the boys for drinking, strippers and fishing. We get to see the girls' first times and some teasing with girl-on-girl.

If you are looking for some smaller moments with an ensemble of 13 shades members and their Eververse friends, this is the book for you.

Awful short to be called a book. Glad I didn't pay for it. It is, however, good enough that I'll continue on to the next one.

Welsh Dragons? Oh my!

Alana the heroine evolved quickly from a shy bookworm to hoyden with in the space of a few hours. While the hero captures her with a smile and a date drug.

I wish Alana had a fiesty girlfriend as a sidekick. So that both Lewis and his brother have to work hard for their reward.

Excellent description of background sceneries.

The pub scene was working well for me and the first change felt like baroque magic. Very Welsh and flavored with a touch of Camelot.

Look forward to reading more of Lew's and Alana's story.

Hate saying goodbye to Dante's Circle

i have enjoyed this series and hate it ending, meeting these women and the supernaturals they are destines ro be with has been an awesome ride, getting to meet the Angels, demons, dragons, shifters, wizards, mermen and warlocks they get ro be mates with and coming into their own supernatural powers such as Brownie, Djinn, Siren, Pixie, Succubus, Leprechaun and Pheonix was one of the best rides a series has taken me on . i will be listening to these books over and over again. I heard the first one and was hooked. I love the way all the characters (men) are

of different colors and hues. To me they come from north, south, east and west. So sorry the fun had to end but I loved every minute!!
