    Terrible . Just utterly terrible!
Honestly I can't decide if it's the narration or the writing that I find so horrendous. I think it may bet an even 50/50 split. Don't do it.

    Wolf Creek a great read
This was a good story, I cannot wait to read about Devlin. I know this will be another great story.
Hardly a romance story for adults
Overall the writing was a bit juvenile and the characters were immature. Hardly a romance story for adults.

    Nice story in the series
    Any additional comments?
A good continuation of the series. With all of the characters we met in the first book, we now add one more - and she is an odd one. Full of magical situations and explosive action yet there is romance in the midst. Good world building and characters make for a good series.
Really bad narration for a decent story.
The story is ok, but I actually caught myself cringing every time the narrator did the voice of Amethyst. The narration is more suited to a young child's book, I found it very irritating.
This book does not belong in the shadows
Shadows of the Past was Amethyst's story, it carries on from book #1 and book #1.5. I really liked Amethyst she was a caring soul who doesn't like what her fae powers can do.
Hayden the suspicious Sheriff we met in previous books has a larger role in this book, I loved seeing more of him, I wish we got to see more of what his Earth Fae powers can do. Hopefully we can see that somewhere in future books.
We saw a lot more of Preston then I was expecting. You could say his life path changes in the book, I can't wait to see what instore for him in the future.
Now the Robert, Liz and Tremaine triangle is intriguing... Ms Rivers give me more!
I have loved this narrator during the other books of this series, but her voice for Amethyst grated on me a little too much in this book, I had to listen in short stints because I couldn't handle it for long periods.
The storyline flowed really well and like I said earlier I just adore all these characters. I can't wait to pick up the next book that Brandy gives us. Brandy L Rivers is an Author who I will automatically buy anything she writes, as she never disappoints.
    Voices wrong
The voice of the main character Amethyst sounds like a 3 year old, Not of a young being that is old enough to find a mate.
    Another masterpiece
Would you consider the audio edition of Shadows of the Past to be better than the print version?
Both amazing but listening to it, brings the story to life
Who was your favorite character and why?
Amethyst - I enjoyed seeing her get more comfortable with herself and her powers. LOVED seeing her come out of her shell and become the girl she was meant to be.
What does Kelley Hazen Storyteller Productions bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
the narration by Kelly Hazen Storyteller Productions was on point.

We all enjoy some pure entertainment sometimes, and that's the essence of WINTER SONG
Having read QUAIL CROSSINGS, I jumped to read another of Jennifer McMurrain's books, WINTER SONG. However, it was nothing like her first book {smiley face}, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not a Christian book, but we all enjoy some pure entertainment sometimes, and that's the essence of WINTER SONG. It is on the supernatural side as one of the main characters is a ghost, but it wasn't offensive. It's just a fun read. Sage McKennan and her fella Cooper Davis have planned since high school to spend their lives together and open a bed and breakfast named Winter Song, but she suddenly finds that she must do it alone when Cooper is taken in an accident. She does, however, hire Noah Finnley as a partner/handyman to help her renovate the rundown place and get it ready. Things get complicated when Noah realizes Cooper's ghost refuses to take his rest, and instead is determined to stay close to Sage forever. Ultimately both "men" must team up to protect Sage from serious physical harm. This novel was not the norm for me to read, but I really enjoyed it. It reminded me a little of the movie "Ghost" with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.
Never put it down until I finished it.
A lovely, touching and sweet story reminiscent of the Ghost Whisperer. A grieving widow, determined to make their dream a reality hires a carpenter to help her. Meanwhile the carpenter has to deal with her husband's ghost who is determined to keep his promise that he won't leave her.
Although her husband was a flawed man, he is a sympathetic character who deeply loves his wife. The carpenter is a patient man, respectful of the widow 's love and grief for her husband even as he hopes she can make room for him in her heart.
    FOREVER LOVE
I can't begin to tell you how much I loved this book. It was funny in parts and sad in others. Sage and Cooper were in love and he wanted to make extra money so they could fulfill the dream they both had. He signed up on a fishing boat in winter without talking to Sage first. They argued with her telling him how dangerous it was and he could get killed. Of course he promised he wouldn't and he would come back.

    Format: Unabridged
Length: 10 hrs and 26 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 03-04-15
    Publisher: Host of the Hills
Ratings: 4 of 5 out of 164 votes
    Genres: Romance, Fantasy
    Publisher's Summary:
Love Is Fear is the highly anticipated sequel to the number-one fantasy best seller, Love Is Darkness.
After a lot of swearing and only a little nookie, Valerie Dearborn has decided to make a change. No more lusting after Lucas, the hot but emotionless vampire king who can't commit. Instead she's going to make it work with Jack. After all, not only is he breathing, but he's the love of her life...isn't he?
Valerie is an empath with supernatural abilities that seem to do nothing more than give her the hots for Lucas. Once upon a time, empaths had a purpose. They were ambassadors to the others - fey, witches, werewolves, and vampires. They could settle the emotions of a werewolf and make vampires feel again.
    But that was long ago.
Lucas isn't about to let Valerie go. He needs her to help him find the fey, last seen in the Colony of Roanoke, North Carolina, circa 1587. He still believes they are the key to restoring balance to the world and the only way to keep vampires under control. They won't trust him, but they will trust Val.
Between Jack, Lucas, and Rachel, Val knows life won't be dull. Nor will it be the normal, 2.5 kids kind of life she's always wanted.
As their enemies close in, Val must ask herself what life is really about - trust, duty, or mind-blowing orgasms? And even if she finds the answer, she may not live long enough to enjoy it.
Please note: This novel is not YA and has lots of sass, swearing, and sex. Not necessarily in that order.
    Members Reviews:
    Wishy washy
Valerie seems to have a hard time making up her mind and sticking to it. A little whiny, but kept me interested.
    Face palm
Fooled by book one. It's important to have a character you get angry with. A dose of anger is nice ever so slightly. but Valeria is just so dumb. it was brain numbing to get through the book. Either she is a delusional bed hop or just a bed hop. And looking past that, there was little left to be desired. Lucas can't carry the book by himself. That being said, I really don't know if I will bother with the next book.
    Eh
If you could sum up Love Is Fear in three words, what would they be?
    Gets better
If youve listened to books by Caroline Hanson before, how does this one compare?
This book has a lot of sex! Once you get through the sex the story does pick up!
What about Emily Woo Zellers performance did you like?
she is great with accents and making the characters sound real.
little, weak, defenseless, vapid teen in danger
sound familiar? Another of THOSE novels. barely held together by an excellent narrator.
    sub-par story
Not the best, most engaging story I've ever read. There's more sex than story line.

    Sold To the Dragons........
~The audiobook was provided by the narrator for an honest review~
Story The story had a lot of potential, I liked the premise, it was just not executed very well. Some of the issues I have with the story; there is no explanation for how the dragon shifters came about, just the world had some extreme weather heat and cold, women have become less fertile and then wow, suddenly there are dragons, so world building could have been a bit better. When we first meet Kira she is very likeable but not so much further in, there were a few TSTL moments and then the whole Im not worthy to be a mother, to be with Steven or Blake, I have to prove myself spiel had me rolling my eyes. The other issue that took away from the enjoyment of the story was the excessive use of so many clichés; my most sensitive spot my femininity/parts/folds, lips (used 30ish times), stiff/steel rod erect/stiffened/stiffening manhood. This is supposed to be erotica and be sexy and the use of all the cliché words just made me cringe and to me was not sexy at all. I was also disappointed with how it ended/wrapped up. I did not
Narration I thought the narrator sounded familiar so went back to my audible library to see if I had listened to her before, she narrated a short story I listened to last year. I think her narration has improved from the issues I had previously and in this book I thought she did a good job. My complaint is mostly Stevens voice, while Blake and the other male characters seemed to have a normal tenor to the voice, the one she gave Steven made him seem smarmy, and it seemed kind of out of place on occasion she slipped into that same tone when speaking as Blake,
So all in all the story was not as good as I wanted it to be so 1.5/2 stars, the narration was good and 2.5/3 stars
    Fantastic Fantasy
I throughly. enjoyed the story. Thank you, Amira. Your story had my imagination. In high gear. The narrator brought the story to life with the way she used her voice. In. my mind eye I could then see each person. Meghan, great job.
    Great sexy paranormal read!
Wow, this book is way better than I thought it would be. Sold to the Dragons is a sexy erotic paranormal story. It has a good plot and suspense too, along with hot steamy sex, romance, action, adventure & danger.
Kira Southerly lives in a very poor village and her family is starving. She agrees with her father to sell her at an auction for breeding purposes. The money they make will feed her family forever. At the auction block, Kira almost runs away until she sees her little brother drooling over a guards plate of food.

    Stewart Glen, Scotland - 1514
Masked in a Gypsy guise, Broderick MacDougal hides his vampiric identity while seeking to destroy the man who slaughtered his family. When an old Clan rival ensnares Broderick in a trap using an enticing widow, he is compelled to discover if she is bait or an accomplice, and the cinnamon-haired beauty is his next conquest.
Widow of an abusive husband, Davina Stewart-Russell clings to the only image that gave her strength during those dark times - the Gypsy rogue who stole her heart as a youth. After nine years, she is finally face-to-face with him again, but reality clashes with fantasy as she is confronted with Broderick's passionate pursuit.
When Davina's past returns to haunt her, Broderick is forced to reveal a dark secret worse than anything Davina thought possible. The challenge before them has fatal risks and neither of them is prepared for the sacrifices expected for the sake of eternal love.
Listener Advisory: The abridged version of Midnight Conquest still includes all the original storyline details, action and nail-biting scenes of violence and domestic abuse. (Don't worry...the bad guys get it in the end!). However, the love scenes have been edited and are no longer described in graphic and direct language, in order to appeal to a wider audience. As such, there are no more "glistening folds" details. (Collective groan of disappointment ensues...) Though this story can be enjoyed by listeners slightly younger than 18, parental discretion is still advised.

    Story ok bad narration
The male voices were fine. Sounded different among the male characters however the female voices were horrible especially the lead female. Yuck.
    Horrible
Is there anyway I can return this book? Couldn't get past the first couple chapters.
Do not waste your time or money
This is so juvenile. The writing and narration is choppy and pathetic. Perhaps it was written for a 13 year old.

Just not my cup of tea
I really wanted to love this book, but there was just too much going on to follow. I like a complex read, but this was all over the place at times. I had to have my full focus on reading to not get lost.
The characters were kind of one dimensional. I wasn't getting a ton from them. I did like Lisa and all her sass. I liked her banter with Rafe, most of the time. For some reason I just wasn't vibing with this one. It happens, not every book connects with every reader.
The fae elements are way too vague. I felt the world building was haphazard, at best. I cannot say I have any understanding of how this shifter and fae world works. There are also major holes in the plot.
Part of my problem may have been that I listened to the audiobook narrated by Jonathan Waters. His read was oddly paced and not happy ears. I listened at every speed setting available, really hoping one would be great, sadly none of them worked out. The women's voices were an issue, big pet peeve with going too high and making them whiny.
Overall, this was disappointing on so many levels. I did finish the book, so it wasn't all bad. I don't think I will be getting the other books in the series, not for me I guess.
Disclosure I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts opinions and ratings are my own. I was under no obligation to post a review or give positive feedback.

    Good Shifter Story
In this audiobook we got 2 stories, always a plus!
    Winter Eve:
This was very short novella that was enjoyable but like I said "to short"! I would have loved more on Nevan & Danica. They had great chemistry and the characters are very interesting but they meet and say I love you the next day. I know they are shifters and have true mates so intsa-love is acceptable but at least a little build up would be nice.

This story was much better in the build up department. Travis & Shayna have baggage but they come together and fight for what they love. These characters have a ton of chemistry. Their story is sweet with an Alpha Dad & a strong female.
The narration was good. I like that her male voices are just a little lower toned instead up unrealistically deep for a women's voice.
    What an Amazing Book
All I can say is that I've found a new author that I will be keeping an eye on. This was a great book to listen to and a awesome start to the series. I can't wait to read more from Lia Davis and more of this series.
Great Listen From Beginning to End
If you could sum up A Tiger's Claim in three words, what would they be?
    Great quality read.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the narration. As well as the complexity of all the characters mentioned throughout both stories. I love that the prequel was featured in this book along with the first book in this series, it succeeded in giving background information (filling in blanks), providing a foundation for the rest of the books to come.
Have you listened to any of Keely J.
