Now it's time for one of her greatest secrets to be revealed. In a long-lost letter, Amma tells Ethan the story of growing up as a young Seer with a remarkable gift for reading cards. But with a power that far-reaching comes responsibility, and Amma has been honoring her mission since before Ethan was born - to protect the Wate family at any cost. So when Lila Jane Evers enters Mitchell Wate's life, bringing the whole Caster world with her, Amma turns to her cards. This time, it's a reading that will define the rest of her life - and Ethan's.

AMA!!!! SHE LOVED ETHAN BEFORE HE WAS EVEN BORN!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes I would, especially if you have read the series!
Who was your favorite character and why?
    Ama!
What does Kevin T. Collins bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
    I like Kevin's narrations...he is good!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
    The ending
    Any additional comments?
I am on to book 3! In this one we see how Ama has really always had the answers...This is set after Ama is gone, and Ethan gets a box with things meant for him, after Ama's passing...Ama has always loved Ethan, even before he was born!
    How Amma came about...
I've always wondered while reading this series how Amma came into Ethan's life. It is amazing to see that she spent her entire life protecting Ethan before he was ever thought of or even born! She had no idea what her true purpose in life was until the day his presence was announced. What unconditional love! I love Amma and this made me so sad to kind of experience life after Amma through Ethan's eyes.
    An Hour Well Spent
We all wondered why Amma came. It's nice to get that part of the story.
    A Keeper
If you could sum up The Seer's Spread in three words, what would they be?
    Way too short
What did you like best about this story?
The entire story.I have read about every book Kami has written so far about Ethan & Leina & the whole punch.I love them.
What about Kevin T. Collinss performance did you like?
He is great in all of them.I really like him.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Yes
    Always Alma...
I loved this story. This story confirmed what I suspected all along. Alma was more than just a caretaker. She was more than just a cook. She was a blessing. She was an amazing part of the Waite family that was destined to do what she did. I loved this story!!!

    Like a whirlwind...
This story was light and fun, the kind I love to listen to while I'm sewing or otherwise needing my eyes and hands but not my brain. I have no complaints, and I've read several of Dickerson's books now (though this is my first audio copy.)
However...The narrator reads crazy fast, with little to no phrasing. I am a fast speaker myself, but I couldn't handle this. It made me feel stressed trying to keep up!
I ended up turning it down to .75 speed, and even then, it was often hard to tell who was talking because the voices were all very similar and their conversation ran together. Often, even at .75 speed, the only way I could tell that Dickerson had started a new section, chapter, or a new character's perspective was by contextual clues - because there was no pause between one section/chapter and the next to signify the change.
Mason's voice was very consistent throughout the book - the book was read, rather than acted, with little variation in the voices of the characters.
That said, Mason has a lovely, pleasant, clear voice, and I think that if she would just slow down and take a moment to allow space between sections of the chapters, she would make a very excellent reader.
A great story and great narration!
We love Melanie Dickerson's books! Jude Mason is one of my favorite narrators! Thanks Audible!
    A blessing in a barrel
the reader sounded like she was talking put of a barrel sometimes. The story was a wonderful blessing.
    Thoroughly Enjoyable
We are truely enjoying this series traveling with our six children ages 1-12 we are all spellbound as these stories have captured the hearts of each one of us
We would like to thank you for sharing your awesome writing abilities children are unable to leave the story even for a play at the park! and Jude's ability as the narrator is excellent
    Pure, clean romance
Both Rapunzel and her sweetheart admire their looks as well as their manners, as is the case in Dickerson's books. I feel safe reading these as they contain no graphic romance, and they're all centered on the Christian faith.

    Fantastically Gothic and Gripping
If you could sum up A Madness So Discreet in three words, what would they be?
    Madness is thrilling.
What was one of the most memorable moments of A Madness So Discreet?
The mental patient who could smell diseases . . . for real.
    Which scene was your favorite?
When Grace was thrown into the cellar of the mental institution, in complete darkness, naked, bleeding, and then the lobotomy doctor shows up.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I had an extreme reaction in that I love it so much I reached out to the author to tell her how much I loved it.
    Any additional comments?
If you enjoy historicals, Gothic tales, mental illness history or asylum history plus murder mysteries with a unique factor or serial killer tales, enjoy!
    Thoughtful dark Gothic
McGinnis's A Madness so Discreet is daring and engaging until her heroine begins to presume upon the righteousness of being horribly wronged. Great originality, particularly in the underground prison relationships. But the main character begins to make decisions that are both questionable for someone who has been through what she has and is fighting for survival and, hopefully, questionable for a sympathetic reader. Her arguments with her doctor and his willingness to continue to work with her under the conditions she creates in their skewed power relationship may make good feminist fantasy but also begin to wear on this reader's suspended disbelief. By the end, I was too conscious of frayed edges and unexplored possibilities to sympathize with any of the adult women characters in the book, and this also affected my rating of the narrator. Her Nell feels heavy and overblown, hard to see as the virginal victim that she actually was, and I wondered if the way the author portrayed her bordered on blaming the victim. Perhaps a lighter tone for that character might have helped me hold on to my sympathy for her and the woman who tried to help her.
    loose ends.
the way the author portrayed every character was perfectly done. however it seemed there were too many loose strings. like the book was completed in a hurry. the beginning was so deep and emotional and then towards the end, it seemed so rushed.

    Spooky!!!
Would you listen to The House again? Why?
I would totally listen to the house one more time, and Id tell all the people to accompany this book with the audio.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Deacon was a perfect Gavin, his voice translated his personality, his happiness, fears and especially his fears about everything what happened to him.
Have you listened to any of Elizabeth Louise and Deacon Lee s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Ive listened to other audios with these two narrators, and somehow they reinvented themselves in The House.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Just the thought of listening all the spooky moments and also the action at the end of it, made me want to start it all over again right now.
    Any additional comments?
BOOK AND AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: 5 STARS
Every now and then I like to get out of my comfort zone and read something different. This time it is the turn of Christina Laurens new book: The House. I have to confess, I was afraid to read it, but not because of CLs writing, because I know they are great at it, but because Im a chicken about HORROR, when Im watching a horror movie I have my eyes closed half of the movie, so can you imagine how I could read this book? OMG! I was scared to death half of the book, but I kept going because the storyline was so interesting, all the suspense and romance - because yes, there is romance in this book -, and mystery around The House was really spectacular.
This book tells the story of Delilah and Gavin. They had a huge crush on each other since they were kids, and when Delilah was back in town, they started dating, but when all the normal stuff of boyfriend & girlfriend had to happen, like meeting the parents and such, thats when all the suspense started. He didnt have a normal family, he didnt live in a regular house, but despite all these unusual - and scary as hell - facts about him, Delilah was always there for him, she accepted everything and tried so hard to find a balance between all the craziness around him.
I was a roller coaster of emotions while reading this book. At first it was so cute, how they started dating, their first kiss, how upfront was Delilah and how unfiltered was Gavin. It was all pretty and nice to read. Then it became more intriguing, when Gavin took Delilah to his house for the first time, or when he wasnt recognized by the delivery guy from the grocery store. But when things started happening to Delilah I WAS REALLY SPOOKED!
It was so cool reading a strong leading girl in this book. Delilah wasnt only determined to have a relationship with Gavin, no matter how scary things were around his house, but she also was determined to have HIM forever. I loved how she handle everything at the end of the book.

The narration was fantastic. Using different voices for the characters really brought it to life.
    Remembering
This is a great story for coming of age in school and in everyday life. Makes me wish I spent these days with my daughter in a book club.
The Mother-Daughter Book Club was adorable!!!
I greatly enjoyed listening to this book! It brought me back to times in my life when I have experienced similar difficulties and challenges. I greatly admired how it was so clean and wholesome to listen to!
I will CERTAINLY recommend this book to all of my nieces who are entering/enduring their teenage years! Several of the situations which came up at school -such as the dance-brought back memories which I felt weee exclusive only to me! It was amazing to see the way in which the author brought those out and made things work out well for the characters.
    Computerized Reading - Aweful

Pray circles around your greatest dreams and biggest fears
Prayer can sometimes be a frightening thing. How do you approach the maker of the world, and what exactly can you pray for? In this student adaptation of The Circle Maker, Pastor Mark Batterson uses the true legend of Honi the circle maker, a first-century Jewish sage whose bold prayer saved a generation, to uncover the boldness God asks of us at times and what powerful prayer can mean in your life.
Drawing inspiration from his own experiences as a circle maker as well as sharing stories of young people who have experienced God's blessings, Batterson explores how you can approach God in a new way by drawing prayer circles around your dreams, your problems, and, most importantly, God's promises. In the process you'll discover this simple yet life-changing truth: God honors bold prayers; bold prayers honor God. And you're never too young for God to use you for amazing things.
