    Simplistic
Felt like I was listening to a Dick & Jane reader. It may have been the narrator, her character voices sounded like children. OK plot but everything felt dumbed down.

Working for the police as a psychic consultant, finding missing people and things, can get a little crazy sometimes. I thought dealing with my Aunt Rita's ghosts, my wacky family, and enjoying my new relationship with hunky Detective Nick Cavanaugh would be my routine for a while. Boy was I wrong!
A serial killer is in town and he knows my name!
Just when I thought things were getting back to normal, well, normal for me, I start hearing "The Song." Who knew that old song my parents play at parties would be the number one favorite song of a serial killer? My boss, Captain Johnson, is having a fit about the FBI taking over and involving me in the case, when he clearly wants me far away from this killer. The FBI does not seem surprised by my abilities. After all, they brought in three psychics of their own. None of them, however, has been able to catch this killer. The tables are turned when the killer sends a video with photos of me and the rest of the team. The hunted is now the hunter and without a picture of this killer, I have no weapon.
The FBI expects me to work miracles; let's hope I can pull one off.

Another great book! I love the Andromeda Spencer Series!
If you have not read the first book you should start there. It's such an awesome series you don't want to miss it. Although, the Author does a good job with a short recap in the first chapter.
The author did it again! It was so good I could not put it down. I love her stories. It is suspenseful, funny, and unpredictable.
So glad to see Andromeda and detective Cavanaugh's relationship is growing. With a serial killer in the loose, Nick gets very protective of Rommy. The Maestro of Fear is terrorizing the FBI and Rommy with some unwanted recordings & "Gifts"!
The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life. The story is told in Andromeda's POV. It wraps up nicely with no cliff hangers! I'm already looking forward to the next book!

    Another Hit in this series
What made the experience of listening to Melody of Murder the most enjoyable?
Because it brings the story more to life with different tones in the voices.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, I was shocked to discover whom the killer actually was.
    Any additional comments?
I really am enjoying the Andromeda series. These stories keep me on my toes and wanting more. This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBoom
    An enjoyable Audible book!
Some of the quirky characters return in Book two of the Andromeda Spencer series. There are also a few new additions, who are just as entertaining. The Maestro of Fear lurks and Rommy soon discovers she is being stalked. Will she survive the next case with the help of hunky detective Cavanaugh? I was just as entertained by this audiobook as I was with the first.
    MELODY OF MURDER...WOW!
I can't believe this was book 2. I didn't read or listen to book 1 and yet I still loved this book and the characters. To hear a song in your dreams and know its connected to murders... I got chills writing that. This book is great, not only is it a murder mystery, but fun and funny too! I love all the live and dead characters.

    Hamlet with a twist
Dr. Annie Mae Maple's final responsibility before retiring (after thirty years as the first black female drama professor at Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia) was to supervise a group of high school students during the universityâs summer one-act play competition. It was always rewarding to watch as the students tackled Shakespeare and put a modern twist on it. This year the students were taking on Hamlet and presenting it with hip-hop, ballet, zombie, fairy tale, real housewives, and outer space twists.
Priscilla (otherwise known as the wicked witch of the west) was one of the supervisors, and she was definitely a pain to everyone around her. A few days into the week long camp she was found dead. Was it an accident? Murder? Of course Annie Mae is determined to get to the bottom of this - much to the dismay of the police (again).
And so we are off on the next little adventure with Annie Mae and Bezu (who is providing the food for the camp). It is a fun story once again with several possible suspects and a very limited time frame to solve the mystery of the death. No one is safe. If it was murder, what is to prevent the guilty party from returning? So everyone is a little edgy, but the show must go on (as they say).
Again, this is a completely stand alone book, but several characters are found in all three books. However, one does not have to read the other stories to understand the next one: no story is left hanging or carried over to the next.
I was able to finish this in a few hours so pick a quiet spot and settle back for another enjoyable read.
    A cozy little mystery.
    .
I must say this is the first time Iâve read a cozy little mystery. My genre is usually biographies, historical novels, thrillers, cook books or books on health. I found it easy reading and very quickly got caught up in the story, and I soon learned to dislike the victim and smiled when she âgot it.â The story line was easy to follow as it led the reader to different conclusions and I was surprised by the ending.
I recommend it as a book that gives one a good feeling when it ends.
    Ella Mae Rayner
    Twists and turns
I have enjoyed this series. They are full of twists and turns in the plot. Just when I think I know who did the killing, the plot or motive changes to look at someone else.
    Love this book series!
This author is excellent at defining every aspect of her characters. Fell in love with Annie Mae instantly! Have read other books in this series and will continue to do so in the future.
    A fast-paced and clever mystery
Homicide by Hamlet is a quirky, fast-paced, and well-written mystery with an assortment of diverse characters. Incorporating Hamlet into the mystery of the story is very clever and a unique twist in story-telling.

    I LOVED this series!
I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book. Josie is the perfect amateur sleuth and food critic, though she is challenged by gastric issues that put a hamper on her livelihood. This is a fun, fast-paced mystery filled with twists and turns I didn't expect. A real page turner! And Sunny Lu was a fabulous narrator. Great series. I know what I want for Christmas...Dead Man on Campus. Thanks EM!

    Any additional comments?
as Josie starts to get her life back together after being buried alive in her first tale, she embarks on a journey to san Francisco to get the low down on her best friends boyfriend and his start up company, just as she gets there everything starts falling apart, with her new P.I. licence she starts to get into the swing of things with her natural ability to get people to talk, her nose for trouble and a couple of local cops, she delves into the murky world of china town, silicone valley and burlesque strippers!the story is faster paced than the first book and the witty one liners abound making this a very good read indeed, would recommend!

    Shreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!
I've tried and others have tried and we still have a main character who is shril, picks nonsensical fights, insists she's can take care of herself, and is a strong, independent woman. She's none of those things. She's a shrill woose and instead of improving given the reviews, it's getting worse. And over 4 books her magic has barely advanced and her attitude is annoying. Worse, her childishness is being enabled and/or excused by all the characters around her. I give up. No more books from this series.
    Narrator is shrill!
Story is predictable and characters lack depth. The narration is truly awful! Lead character is immature and mostly super annoying.
    Enjoyable series
Ivy and Jack finally have their first date, albeit cut short with the murder of a fellow police officer. Now as Jack investigates this murder, Ivy's own life is in danger.

    Perfect weekend listening
Where does Death Comes to Happy Acres rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
I'm not a big audiobook listener, but 'Death Comes to Happy Acres' has me rethinking that. I'd read the book and delighted in the style, characters and story, and it has been brought to life in near-perfect fashion by narrator Peter Husmann. He has exactly the voice, cadence and delivery I'd expect for this book. It made for the perfect audiobook experience over the long weekend.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
I can't say it kept me on the edge of my seat - that seems more appropriate for a thriller. This is a delightful mystery that kept me guessing.
What does Peter Husmann bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Peter Husmann has the delivery and voice I would most connect with this book. The characters were brought to life well and distinctly, and the pacing was just what it should be.
    Any additional comments?
I'll be listening to more audiobooks after this one! It's a great introduction (and in my case, a re-introduction) into the unique world of the spoken narrative.
    Excellent Listen
This was an enjoyable listen. The narration was excellent and the book was well paced. It was a who-done-it that wasn't easily figured out. I think this would be a good start to a new series. Hopefully, the author will think so too and continue to write about Happy Acres trailer park.

Awesome - a breath of fresh air!
Loved the writing, loved the characters, loved the story and loved the narrator.
The characters have real life struggles not written about often - basic living money problems. The characters are all "of an age" which is even better. The mystery was great! I guessed wrong and love it when that happens.
I was gifted this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
    Great Who Done It Mystery!
If you could sum up Death Comes to Happy Acres in three words, what would they be?
    Captivating, Suspenseful, Creative
Which character as performed by Peter Husmann was your favorite?
I would have to say Peter Husmanns' performance of Wade was my favorite. Peter managed to show that Wade was not a player/ladies man as he first comes off but is a lost man that is quite endearing. Mr.

    Members Reviews:
    A formidable force
The duo of Connie and Sable are at it again. Connie's daughter got them into it.
Nerys and Dale were friends since they were kindergarten kids. Having finished school and college, they got married. They are the kind of couple people will point to illustrate how happy a marriage can be. So why would Nerys then file for divorce.
Connie and Sable just had to become involved.
When Dale is arrested for the murder of Mr. Ridgeway, the slippery divorce attorney engaged by Nerys, the investigation is taking a turn for the worse.
As usual, there quite a few candidates for the murder. The sober, logical approach of Connie and Sable is a pleasure to follow. Hats of to these two private detectives...they really know what they are doing.
It is such a pleasure reading these stories of Gillian Larkin and these of the Butterworth sisters are by far my favourites. Take a bow, Ms Larkin. This is again a sure winner!
I love these stories that depict two older ladies as people ...
Another case brought to a successful conclusion by Connie and Sable. I love these stories that depict two older ladies as people who still have their faculties in good working order. Once again they caught the perpetrator. I can't wait for their next case!
    Thoroughly Delightful Mystery
Loved this latest Butterworth mystery. Connie and Sable are at their best in this newest mystery. The ladies work hard to prove that the accused is not guilty even when all the evidence points to him. You won't be disappointed when you read this one.
    Good Read
Connie and Sable are ladies on a mission to save an innocent man from paying for a murder
he didn't commit. A good read, an interesting cozy. These are two fun characters. I can see how
they can hold readers' interest and make a fun series.
    Another great read
As always, this book keeps you guessing until the end. Just the way a mystery should. Gillian Larkin has a way of telling a story.

Sublette is a good writer. I have enjoyed several of his stories
I strongly suspect Mr. Sublette is a good writer. I have enjoyed several of his stories. However, he needs an editor/reader who can spell, can understand grammar, and at least will do basic research on weapons, if he is going to discuss them with any authority.
A good Spell-Check would be a smart investment.
'Then' is an adverb that describes time, a sequential event, a place in order. 'Than' is a simple comparative; this rather THAN that. Seems basic but it is butchered in this story.
A Glock is a semi-auto hand gun. Cartridges/bullets for this weapon are held in a 'magazine'. A Glock is not a revolver; revolvers have cylinders. Glocks are notorious for their non existent safety.
As for turquoise, ask your Trader friends again about grading stones...it is a well established science. Maybe a little fuller understanding of the role of matrix, spiderwebbing, and pure stone would have added a little authenticity.
The story line was interesting. I liked the international intrigue angle but a little more character development would have made the story much larger.
The 'kill-off' at the conclusion was a little to patient/expected; the set-up begged for a fuller, more tense ending.
    Good southwest read.
Stone men, the seekers of fine turquoise stones; are a little known part of the Indian jewelry scene in the Southwest. Charlie Bloom, art gallery owner, gets dragged into investigating a conspiracy to sell fake Navajo jewelry. Good turquoise but non-Native work. The reason for flooding the market with cheap jewelry was pretty arcane. I think the motivation to ruin the Toadalena economy should have come earlier in the book than it did. I was confused by the outside influence on the area and the reason for hiding the top of the line new turquoise. Lots of stone men clutter the plot.
Charle is gang pressed by a really unlikeable, unethical FBI agent. He's timid at the beginning of the book, but by the climax he's found his spine.
