    Entertaining Romantic Mystery
When Detective Gus Grant is called in to investigate a murder, the last person that he expects to see is his ex-girlfriend Rebecca. She was the last person to see the victim alive but is she a murderer?
Although Missing was a short listen, there was enough character development to make the story work. Gus was a very likeable character with his bumbling ways and was my favorite. The story combined mystery and suspense, with a little romance thrown in for good measure. The plot twists definitely had me guessing right up until the climax. The narration of Daniel F. Purcell was the icing on the cake, bringing the characters to life with wonderful accents and a smooth voice that I loved listening to. Overall, a very satisfying and enjoyable listen. I would recommend Missing: The Lady Said No: An Augustus Grant Mystery, Book 1.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is my honest opinion.
    Good mystery
I enjoyed the descriptive story. the performance added greatly to the value of the story.
    Good Mystery
Normally I figure out the story before the detective but this one kept me suspecting and guessing. The narration is quite good!
    Missing: The Lady Said No
Would you listen to Missing: The Lady Said No again? Why?
Absolutely! Not only was the story enjoyable, the narrator was excellent!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Gus, of course! He was so lovable. A brilliant detective, handsome and yet a bit bumbling and accident prone.
What does Daniel F Purcell bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Oh my gosh, he makes the characters come alive. I've read the book and now listened to the audio. His voice and accents were so easy and fun to listen to. He was never boring or slow. He is so good, that you could even distinguish ages of those speaking. I am still smiling after listening to this audio book. I loved it!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A modern day Columbo detective story. (Gus could be Columbo's son)
    Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this story. Jacquie Biggar created a whodunnit suspense that had a few twists and surprises, along with a touch of romance and humor.
I loved the description of the fancy house, the carnival, the barn and the horse racing theme.

    Very good mystery
This was really good. People will do the dumbest things for money or valuables. Just because you believe you should get something when a family member passes does not mean you deserve it. There is drama, killing, kidnapping and so much going on in this book. Really good reading.
A story with a punch!!! Who did it on so many areas.
I kept wanting to tell her to keep her mouth shut. She gave far to much information out in public places, and to many people. But then...... that added to the list of suspects. Mystery, suspense, heart, a good full story, just long enough, and good ending.
    Fun mystery with great characters
This was hard to put down...such wonderful characters, quaint setting, excellent "who-done-it," keeping us guessing until the end. I really enjoyed it!

    Needs an editor.
From page 1 it was clear that this story needed a proof reader and an editor. The punctuation is abysmal, erratic, and confusing. There are far too many characters and plot lines for a story of this length: sea monsters, talking cats, thwarted lovers, pirates, political rivals, cops, robbers ... You get the idea. I abandoned the attempt to read to the end.
it is a fun little story
a budding writer. needs a lot more proof reading. it is a fun little story.
    Train by ocean
It was a good read, specially when riding the amtrak, going by the ocean.
    A cute and fast read
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
At first, I will admit I was sideswiped with this story in the fact I felt I walked in the middle of it and felt like I should know exactly what was going on. I have never liked that feeling from the beginning let alone in such a short story such as this was. Of coursed when I realized it was the second in a series that did help a bit.
It takes a special craft to mold the arc of the story line, to build the characters, and intertwine them so that you are invited into this world and care about what happens in a short period of time. In part, the author was successful and in others not as successful. I am a huge cat lover so there was no way I would not fall for Jericho. However, for the rest, I am not so sure.
Overall I would like to read more about Jericho and learn more about him and see his protective side grow more than he expects.
    Great story!
I absolutely adore Jericho and the many sides of his personality. Not only does he covertly traipse around town trying to discover the truth of things but this time we get to see his protective side with other animals and his human too. Being a servant of God is really what makes the story for me. But donât get me wrong; while there is spirituality to it, the story is not overly religious as to be off-putting. Itâs really up to the reader to determine what they see in it. There are some minor editing problems with this story, such as missing words or extra words. Normally I wouldnât mention it but it was often enough to be distracting at times. I still highly recommend this story, and the entire series, without reservation. Each book, so far, has had a resolved storyline yet leaves room for more adventures in this most interesting little town! The author requested my honest review. ***Review has been done in conjunction with Nerd Girl Official.

    Not a mystery
    Any additional comments?
I received a free copy of Peril in Paradise written by Deb Graham, and narrated by Ginger Walton in exchange for an unbiased review. This review copy Audio Book was provided by the author/narrator/publisher free of charge via Audio Book Boom.
Where to begin? As the other reviewers stated this was not a mystery by any means of the definition. Now, I have always wanted to see Hawaii. A story about a Hawaiian cruise just sounded fun to me even without a true mystery involved, but the story just dragged on. I did enjoy parts about Hawaii, but I didn't care for the characters. They weren't believable to me. They said they traveled a lot, so I would have expected them to handle some of their situations differently. They acted like new travelers who didn't know how to handle certain situation when red flags were going off all over.
The narrator I felt did a great job, and tried to put some excitement into the story, but there was just none to put in.
An enjoyable listen, but not really a mystery
I did enjoy listening to Peril in Paradise. There were a few times when I felt the characters weren't reacting to the situations the way I would have expected, however not everyone does react the same way. That being said, I am still looking forward to the next book in the series to see what happens with the characters.

I really enjoyed this story. So much so that I will be buying the next one in the series. Kept me captivated. Not a big fan of the narrator though almost seemed robotic sometimes. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
    Cruise with a mystery
A fun new cozy mystery. I enjoyed this story set on a cruise ship. I had a fun time listening to how this mystery would unfold. Ginger Walton was the narrator of this book. Ginger did a good job of reading this story. I received this audio-book as a gift with the agreement I would review this book with an honest review.

Will a murder stop the wedding of Shelby and Heath?
The day has finally arrived Shelby Hart will marry Heath McLeroy and she has just received her private detective license.
Here is the list of Shady Acres Gumshoes, Sue Ellen (Shelby's Mom) and boyfriend Bob Satchett, Ida Grayson (Shelby's Grandmother) and her fiance Ted , Chef Joyce, best friend Cheryl and who can forget Alice the Director of Shady Acres, but most of all you have to love the neighborhood vampire Leory Mannng, So come along with police detective Seth, and this book introduces us to another, Officer Glassman.
This story is a nice easy read, no complicated twists, you don't know immediately who the killer could be, its written with a funny twist of Shelby always saying why me, but striving to keep her fellow residents safe, Shelby will solve the mystery. You put yourself into the "family" and can't wait for book 7, Shelby will be married and lots more to follow.
    Three generations of trouble
So sorry this is the last installment of this delightful series. Three generations live at Shady Acres. Grandma is the only one old enough but her daughter and granddaughter work and live there. The trouble they get into are so funny. Even with the murders, it makes me want to live at Shady Acres. Never boring there.
    Goodbye to Shary Acres
Full of action and violence. Not a normal Shady Acre book. Shelby is planning her wedding to Heath and as always a dead body shows up. Shelby (with her PI license) , grandmother, Sheryl and the rest of the ragtag team go to work on finding the killer. Very different for this series.
    A great series finale!
I have enjoyed the Shady Acres series. I almost hate to leave Shelby, Heath and all the other interesting characters behind. The final book was just as exciting as the first. I can't wait to see what Ms. Hickey has for us in the next new series.
    Interesting
Shelby is getting married and gets her PI LICENSE. Lo and behold what does she encounter? A lot of suspense and drama in this book.

witches, shifters, serial-killer, humor, vampire, Australia
Another fun mystery with Pepper, her wacky aunts, their bed and breakfast, and the madness of Internet connection in rural Australia. Each one is both scary and hilarious, and can easily stand alone, but you really want to read the others, just because. Pepper finds a body on the nearby beach and it seems too similar to several others found along the coast. But this man has local ties and was greatly disliked as a person and because of nasty business practices. No spoilers here, just go ahead and enjoy the read!

    Not a Dull Moment!
Deena Sharpe has retired from teaching journalism and taken a job as a reporter, but it's not all it's cracked up to be. She thinks covering the city council meetings is boring and longs to be an investigative reporter. When a mysterious psychic reader and her brother move into town, Deena is assigned to write a feature on them. In the process, Deena discovers a body and is caught up in the investigation.
This was a really cute cozy mystery that was plotted well and had some clever twists. There are plenty of characters but I never got confused about which character was which. The point of view revolves between about five different people and it really kept things interesting, and it managed to still hide the truth. I couldn't guess who the killer was ahead of time!
Deena is a dear, and absolutely hilarious! I loved all the secondary characters as well.
There were so many unexpected funny moments that had me laughing out loud. Deena's relationship with her husband was really sweet. This is the third book in the series, but it's the first one I read, and it can be read as a standalone.
Kelley Hazen has the perfect voice to narrate this book, she narrates dramatically and with spirit, just like I'd imagine Deena speaking. She brought a lot of life to the story. I received a copy of the audiobook, and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
    Sharpe Mind
Sharpe Mind: Cozy Suburbs Mystery Series, Book 3
    : Lisa B. Thomas
This is book 3 in this cozy mystery series. As a cozy it is a good clean listen. Deena Sharpe, former school teacher turned reporter finds the dead body of an elderly woman. Enter....Deena the investigator. There are many things going on in town with familiar folks and newcomers as well. Lisa B. Thomas spins a tale that could possibly happen. With some humor tossed in this was an entertaining listen. Looking forward to book 4.
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Kelley Hazen takes the characters and emotion of the story line and gives them life.
