Life saving

For a chronic worrier with social anxiety, who's looked at many other resources, this was by far the best in clarity, conciseness, applicability and Freedom from any religious contexts and evidence based. Thank you very much to the authors!

Boring

The book is written on the very low level of sophistication. It might be useful two people have had little exposure to mindfulness and psychology, I did not learn anything new. Examples are simplified and not illuminating. I was bored even at 2.5x speed. Just about the most disappointing book I have encountered in this general area.

I listened to the audiobook version and I have to say that the first 36 minutes is devoted to a testing that I couldn't actively participate with as I listen to audiobooks on the go.

I have always been curious to know more about the nebulous person behind the soothing and steady voice that has become the icon of Sounds True productions. Tami Simon felt more like me than I expected. In the beginning, I enjoyed her thoughts and views, her ideals behind running a business with imbued with consciousness, but halfway through when she really dug deep and shared more personally about her own inner journey, through herself, eventually emerging into the world, into relationship, into the comfort of her own seat... well, I found me in her. a great introduction to mindfulness meditation in an easy to understand way

This book does a great job in presenting an introduction to mindfulness meditation in an easy to understand way. Many books are either too simplistic or too difficult for those new to meditation. I found that this book presents enough material get started with a good foundation to begin a mindfulness practice without being overwhelming or overbearing. I've been practicing mindfulness meditation for 6 years and am always looking for a good introduction book to provide to people that ask questions but are not really sure what their level of interest might be. I think that this book is a great tool to assist those people with the information needed to help them begin a practice without getting too bogged down in theory.

An excellent Chakra meditation guide!

The entirety of the body is a perfect reflection of our beliefs, thoughts and emotions. It is the physical manifestation of our inner beliefs about who we are. Chakras are vast pools of energy in our bodies which govern our psychological qualities. There are said to be seven main Chakras in all; four in our upper body, which govern our mental properties, and three in the lower body, which govern our instinctual properties. I am grateful for reading this book as I am in the middle of seeking balance and inner peace and getting to know myself better. This book is easy to digest and reveals simple yet profound meanings. This book is great at explaining some free methods that a person can use to improve his life.

It is indeed a good read and I recommend this book to everyone.

Great basics for inner peace!

I really like the dedication to the meditation that the author uses in the book. She is very knowledgeable and I am always somewhat "jealous" of this ability that some people have to just relax and have a clear mind. I have been looking for a book to help me get through my meditations because I never knew what to focus on and tend to fall asleep. I never had the ability to sit still and just be at "peace" as the author teaches. I think its a skill some of us are born with with inner peace - maybe its more of a blessing. Would recommend if you are looking for something to help you with meditation and relaxing.
