Bravo.

More Please Ms. Jackson. I really loved the first two installments of the Black Hills Wolves and Ms. Jackson's third book really plunges the story ahead with action and steamy romance. The heroine is unexpected and the rush she takes the reader left me begging for more. Bravo.

FAVORITE SERIES BY FAR

This whole series has kept me captivated. Each novella has been written by a different author. No long wait for the next book. Characters are all intertwined and it's Just my favorite right now. Love it.

Desperate For more Black Hills Wolves!

Xio Davis is a bad girlfriend who keeps questionable company, but all this makes her very interesting heroine. I found Black Hills Desperado refreshing. From page one I was pulled into Xioâs mindset. No damsel in distress, sheâs a risk taker with a clouded moral compass and a whooper of a personal secret that would explain her behavior, if she dared share it. Living within the protection of a criminal cartel, she a closeted wolf-shifter.

During a ballsy bank robbery she meets her match in a towering bank teller who wonât be intimidated. All at once a decade of problems catch up with her. The scent of a fellow wolf-shifter tips her off. Heâs a FBI detective whoâs been on her trail for months, and she knows this is one man that wonât be taken in by her antics.

Special FBI Agent Marcus Cazador, is a wolf-shifting hunk. Heâs six-foot-four of no nonsense right thinking, and the antithesis of the world Xio knows.

I enjoyed the story very much and sympathized with Xio who is forced to flee an oppressive pack Alpha and fend for herself from a very early age. Watching her open up to Marcus was a delight. Black Hills Desperado was a vivid glimpse into the variety this series offers. I also liked the fresh take on a wolf-shifting heroine of Chinese-American descend.

So far Iâve loved each and every steamy book in the Black Hills Wolves series and Iâm hoping Xioâs brother will get a story too.

Gifted book for honest review. juliesbookreview. juliesbookreview.blogspot.com

Sweet time travel romance

If you could sum up Beneath the Lake in three words, what would they be?

Sweet, romantic, but sometimes confusing

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bobby, of course, because he loved Lacey with everything he had and never gave up on her

Have you listened to any of Aundrea Mitchells other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't but I did not like her male voices. Especially Bobby, who sounded too weak and soft spoken.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I was ok with not listening to it all at once.

Any additional comments?

This is a book where you have to pay close attention to what is happening or you might get lost. It switches back and forth through time often and the characters change in the different time periods. It is one of the better time travel books I've read or listened to. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

good story

I thought the story was good, unexpected end. love time travel. that being said, I was not a fan of the narrator. there were times I was not sure what year we were in and took a few seconds for me to sink up. it felt like the narrator didn't change tone or anything when switching. other than that, the story was great.

"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

Find the time for this book!

This is one of those books you could easily give too much away in a review and it would take away from the mystery of it...so I will keep this brief. If you liked "The Time Traveler's Wife" then this is right up your alley.

You are propelled back and forth in time as this paranormal romance story with all the ingredients of suspense and mystery that will keep you listening/reading and hoping this star-crossed couple will find their HEA!

I will admit it took a bit for the story to really get going and there were a few confusing moments for me but Casi did help to keep things straight by giving the H/H different names depending on which time they were in. But the further I dove into this story the more I was drawn in.

Worth a credit: YES

I was provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher in exchange for an honest review.

The Best Time Travel Romance!

I'm so glad I decided to give this book a try. The beginning is hard to keep up.

If they can survive the dragons that set the earth ablaze, a different kind of heat just might bind them to each other.

This series should be called Strong Women in the Wild

The fun part about this series is that you have no idea what you are going to get. All of these stories involve very capable women who are comfortable in the wilderness and the men that fall in love with them. However, that is the end of the similarities or connection. This story involves spirit guides, Shamans, and dragons.... yes dragons. The story wasn't one of my favorites of hers but as usual Ann Gimpel is an excellent author whose descriptions and knowledge of the great outdoors is out of this world and it was an entertaining listen.

Wait . . . Captain Hook is the hero?

This is the 2nd version of the "Peter Pan" story I've come across where the roles Peter Pan and Captain Hook are reversed. Peter Pan is evil and Caption Hook (or Captain James Tinker - yeah, I caught that too!) is the hero. A different concept . . . that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Sure, Ethan Gotch is built like a linebacker and tongue-numbingly sexy, but he's also a smidge intense and has a pesky ex who insists he's her fated mate.

He's not. He's Dasha's.

When Ethan's ex pulls a stunt causing Dasha to get stuck in the realm, she starts to believe she was right keeping her distance from the fairy, but that's the least of her concerns. If Dasha can't accept what it means to be the mate of a shapeshifting fairy knight and work a little magic of her own, the two may never make it home alive.

I love this series and it cousins! Loved Dasha and Ethan's story.

I love this series and its cousins! When Dasha shows up at the Hearth Motel unexpectedly, Simone's hand is forced and Dasha has to come to grips with having a Fairy mate. Lucky for her Simone and the female crew members are there to help her out. Dasha has a lot of emotional baggage and trust issues, mostly in her own judgment, related to her X. Ethan is Dasha's mate, and he has been keeping his distance at Simone an Heath's insistence, wanting to ease her into the "Fairy Shenanigans.", and he has waited long enough. Ethan is very cute is his wooing of Dasha. Loved Ethan's parents, his sister and her husband. Dasha and Simone make a great team, they make a succesful trip to the North Pole to see the Elves about helping with some soon to be homeless Fairies. Things are crazy at the Hearth Hotel and Dasha is working hard on a plane to lift Simone's curse. Laurel a half mermaid/sidhe brings trouble to the the Hotel. She wants Ethan as her mate. Colin, a demigod merman, is recruited for the Laurel problem. Colin is a jerk and Daryn's mate. Luckily for him, Dasha likes Daryn and decides to help him out, well help Daryn out. With some on the fly maneuvering, the Crew manages to put a big kink in Rhiannon's plans, while rescuing their families along with a whole lot of other Fairies from the Realm. A fun fast paced and steamy story. Loved Dasha and Ethan's story. Can't wait for Colin and Daryn's story, or Sully and Zenia, or maybe Kori and Gareth.

The realm is closing fast

Awesome saga, just so much adventure, finding your true mate/ wife and suspense.

This writer is Roc k'n hard. Her writing is smooth and easy to read and follow.

Fast paced and has great action this story take you to the end or at least the wedding ceremony. I really enjoyed it.

Joel (BBW Bear Shifter Wedding Romance) (Grizzly... Becca Fanning

I have enjoyed this series very much the stories have been short so you can read them on a coffee break.Tom a human and Dina the human turned wolf shifter are finally going to get their wedding if the storm that has ravished the island and the wolf pack leader would leave them alone. Joel is a bear shifter and one of the groomsmen Tom and him have been friends since college.Lisa is Tomâs sister and one of the bridesmaids she has always been protective of Tom. Joel is divorced and Lisa and him get along very well ,but she did not realize until the wolves started attacking that they where all shifters. What is going to happen? Will Tom and Dina get married? Will Joel and Lisa get together?

Craziest destination wedding ever!

Since everyone else in the wedding party all seemed to be hooking up and finding a match, Lisa, Tomâs sister shouldnât be left out either. I liked Lisa. She was brave, strong, plucky, and always looking out for her âunluckyâ brother. But this is the story when all the good crazy comes out! Even I had to gasp when I read one part because I never saw it coming and I hadnât realized that one particular thing about Tom since he was connected to all of the groomsmen directly or indirectly.

Joel by Becca Fanning

I received this book free in exchange for an honest review. Once again Ms. Fanning has outdone herself. The story flows wonderfully and the characters draw you in. Wonderful love story.

The Saga Continues

This has been an interesting series about a wedding under attack. While there is plenty of danger, there is also a lot of relationships developing among those on the island.

Members Reviews:

Sweet Romance with a little bit of magic

This is the 2nd book in the series, but for the most part can be read as a standalone. There are characters from the first book though, so you may want to read that book first anyway. I listened to the audiobook version, and really enjoyed it! Good narration, and the narrator has a great accent that fits the setting and tone of this story. This book focuses a lot on the romances between the characters, which I don't mind, but I also would've loved more adventure! This series takes place in sort of medieval setting, and follows the love lives of some of the lords, ladies, and guards men. I usually don't enjoy those types of stories because of the arranged marriages, the men bedding whoever, and the women being in subservient positions to the men, but I enjoy this series. There's also a great magical aspect to the characters, which I find interesting to read about. In this book, there are 2 main romance stories, and I enjoyed both couples. Leargan and Ansley are the first couple, and are the main romance of the book. I enjoyed their connection, and they are cute together. Leargan is head guards man for Cera and Jorrin, and Ansley is a message rider for the King, or something along those lines. Ansley has loved Leargan for ages, but Leargan hasn't really been paying attention until some outside forces put their noses in his business. It's a good and bad thing for Leargan. These two have some heat between them! I do feel like their story followed a bit too closely to the story of the couple from book one, Cera and Jorrin. There's a similar issue that happens to each couple, and some of the things that Cera and Jorrin said, Leargan and Ansley also said, so it felt like I was reading about the same couple. The men are clueless, and the women know how to hold a grudge! The ladies do get mean when they are angry! I would've liked a bit more difference Leargan and Ansley's story, but the story is still entertaining. I prefer Cera and Jorrin's bond a little more, but Leargan and Ansley are still a sweet couple, and they have a great connection. I was hoping Ansley would have a little more warrior spirit to her, but I liked her well enough. Leargan is a good guy, and I liked him too. The next couple focuses on a woman that was forced to marry at age 14 to a man much older than herself, and he severely mistreated her. She finally escapes, and is found by Ansley and brought to Cera and Jorrin's house where one of the guards men feels a deep connection with the lady.

Boring

This would have been a good story, didn't like the narrator,he just made it boring as hell.

Werewolf without a bite

John Lowe's reading was absolutely horrible! He broke at the wrong places as though there were no comma's at all. The worst I've ever heard.

The storyline itself was great and I wish I could read it because I missed so much because of the narration. I find it hard to believe that he didn't mate with her so that was different about this book.
