Publisher's Summary:
From the ghettos of Spanish Harlem to a Manhattan penthouse, follow Hope's dark, sensual saga. Owned by Colombian Cartel and then kidnapped into service by vampire Enrique, Hope escapes one form of enslavement for another. Her mother named her Esperanza Salvación - Hope for Salvation. But when a girl works as an escort for cartel in the ghettos of Spanish Harlem, there wasn't much hope, or salvation.
Hope's telepathic ability keeps her a step ahead of ruin, but her unusual gift attracts the attention of a psychotic vampire bitch. Trapped in a Manhattan penthouse with the psycho, her survival lies in the hands of vampire Enrique. He seems to respect her, perhaps even care. As a measure of protection, he makes her his personal blood slave. Helplessly addicted to his bite, Enrique rules her every moment. As always, Hope must adapt to survive.
She trades one master for another, enslaved in the decadent vampire nightlife of Manhattan's elite. All she's ever wanted was someone to love and a place to call home. Instead she shares a relationship of convenience with her new master, nothing more than a concubine desperate to satisfy his nightly demands for blood and sex.
And forever in the background is the fear that one day the cartel boss she abandoned will hunt her down to collect on old debts.
Blood Slave is a standalone novel, part of a larger series of spicy, gritty, vampire romance novels.

A gritty, delectable romp
I was a beta reader for this excellent novel, and I am so happy to see it up and ready to buy. The main story is very different from his previous two novels, something that worked in his favour (though I missed Michelle and Aaron) for expanding the universe. The sex scenes are great, the character development is really great, and the pace is tight. The author likes his hardboiled crime plots, but he handles them well, and they're a lot of fun to read. The morals are even greyer than previously, and this is the only time I've ever seen research about legal matters in a book put in with such flair and panache. The sex, of course, is great, but you can expect that from this author's writing. All in all, it's a solidly written contribution to the genre, with the delightful advantage of being written from a human perspective.
The only critique I will offer is that sometimes the villainess was a bit flat, and the ending was a little rushed. It's worth mentioning, but chances are, it won't slow you down.
Tired of vampires? Losing hope of finding anything other than watered-down, angsty teen crushes? Don't hesitate to drop the money for this book. You will thank yourself and breathe a sigh of relief as you settle into the blood-drenched, twisted story.

Sexy, Dark and not at all what I expected.
This book really caught me off guard -- and that doesn't happen often. I had an idea that this book would push boundaries, what I didn't expect was how deep the storyline would go. Blood Slave starts out as a book you can't put down.
Hope is a prostitute, she has been since she was 14-years-old. She's used to the life and has grown to accept it for what it is. But when she meets, Enrique, the so-called -- vampire in shining Armani -- life for Hope takes a very dark turn. The erotic nature of the book is done well, very well. Mr.
