Dissect That Film

We all know about urban legends, right? Bloody Mary may be one of those that's been in the subconscious for generations. When Clive Barker took that story and created his own version (The Forbidden) based in his home town, it was ripe for a big screen adaptation. In 1992, Bernard Rose would be the guy to bring it to live, with the help of a location change and actors that would create some of the most iconic characters ever put to screen, and with that we got CANDYMAN.

In 1974, an unknown writer from Maine created the story of a young girl with unique powers, a highly religious mother, and a prom that goes up in flames. 2 years later, legendary filmmaker Brian DePalma decided he would take that story and bring it to the big screen, with 1976's CARRIE. 30 years ago, a board game from the darkest wilds took us on an adventure.
