Hey guys, a few Sundays ago I finally recorded this latest iteration of my "Prog Sessions" demo mixes. I probably say this every time (haha), but this one has taken me a long time to complete and I think I have recorded at least 5 or 6 different versions of it. A few of these tracks you might recognize form my most recent live recording from the "Frequency" show at Ora, but I had originally set them aside for this mix and wanted to immortalize them in the Prog Sessions series haha. Anyway, I loved the flow of this set, the throwback classic vibes of Fiji and Café del Mar (originally I was going to use the recent Oliver Smith remix for this, but opted for the brand new Yeadon mix with it's more proggy vibes for this set. Anyway, crammed a lot of beautiful tracks into this, hope you enjoy!! Hey guys, it's been a while! On Friday, June 5th, I was stoked to be able to get back behind the decks as a guest DJ for the first iteration of "Frequency", a new Prog/Trance monthly residency put on by the InMotion label at Ora Nightclub, featuring local DJ talent from the Seattle area. For this show, there were only three DJ's playing that night (Datdamnboy opened the club, I played the middle set, and my long time DJ buddy and good friend, Eric Weber headlined and played until close), so that gave us a little flexibility to play longer sets than usual and I was able to get through 16 tracks for this set, 81 minutes of awesome tracks, which was a blast. As an added bonus, beloved and world-renown Japanese Progressive House legend, Shingo Nakamura, who was in Seattle playing at another venue that night, came over to catch the very tail end of Eric's set, which was a huge and very welcome surprise for everyone!!! For this set I experimented with some tracks I've working with on the next iteration of my Prog Sessions series, and also played some recent tracks I've been enamored with. I wanted this set to be slow burn with some funky edges that would build intensity and scale from more mellow and proggy vibes up into some more bangin' progressive trance energy for the Midnight hour, and I was really happy with the way it turned out. I particularly loved the little Classic Trance throwback with the back-to-back INSANE "Cafe Del Mar" rework, coupled with Oliver Smith's awesome new remix of the timeless classic, "Fiji", by Atlantis. Serious spine tingles with those tracks, and also had fun slowing down some 130 BPM prog trance tracks to 126 toward the end, sometimes they just sound better slowed down, finishing with my favorite track of the set, Simon Gregory's "Don't Let Me Fall", Club Mix, have to get up and dance every time I hear that amazing track. Hey guys, hoping your 2026 is going great so far.. I know there's a lot of turmoil and chaos in the world at the moment. If you're anything like me, nothing helps me escape into a more happy place more than Uplifting Trance, 138-140 BPMs.. my original love and passion in this music. Anyway, hard to believe it’s already almost the end of April, and … I tried really hard to record an uplifting trance set for my "Trancemission" series late last year, but I didn't feel like I had the right blend of tracks just yet, so it's been sitting on the back burner. However, I finally couldn't wait any longer and took a stab at recording this a couple weeks ago, and this was the result. I really liked the way this set turned out, it's very even-keel energy-wise, with the same quality and feel all the way through. It's a banger, no doubt, and my ears were definitely ringing afterwards haha.. I also really liked the sort of Classic Trance vibes a lot of these tracks gave me, even though it is all fairly current (late 2025 up to now). Speaking of Classic Trance, I have also started practicing on my next "White Label" Trance Classics series, so I expect we will see that hit Soundcloud sometime soon (White Label, Vol. 6), at long last.. Hey guys, it's been a while!! Yet again, I've been so buried with work for the past several months I unfortunately don’t have much time or energy left to get to my CDJ’s and record mixes. But don't worry, so long as I have a pulse, I will always find my way back eventually, even when life gets too busy and time gets away from me, always manage to find my way back to my happy place, this luscious progressive electronic dance music. On December 31st, 2025, I was honored to be on the opening roster for Gabriel & Dresden, for the “All That Glitters” New Year’s Eve show at Ora Nightclub, Seattle, to help welcome in 2026!! I was joined by my good friend and DJ buddy, Eric Weber, a.k.a. WEB, as the 2nd opener for the night, and between the two of us, we laid down a tapestry of progressive magic for a super fun and enthusiastic crowd, to set up the night for Dave Dresden of Gabriel and Dresden, world renown Trance & Progressive DJ/Producers who’ve been cranking out the hit singles on the dancefloors worldwide for over 20 years. This was a bucket lister for me, as I have been a fan of Gabriel and Dresden since probably 2001, and have played so many of the beloved tracks in my sets over the years. Dave was super friendly and fun in the DJ booth, and this special NYE night will be one I remember for many years to come. I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare for this set, but I had so many brand new and amazing tracks to play, everything just flowed and it was a set I really loved playing for a smiling, dancing crowd, hands in the air, and plenty of sweaty hugs and champaign toasts to follow.. Hey guys, finally got around to recording a new progressive demo mix last weekend, been collecting these great tracks as always, but have just been so buried at work for the past months I just unfortunately don’t get as much time to fiddle around with my CDJ’s in my home studio. But last Sunday I finally reached my limit and spent several hours downloading and arranging my music and ended up with this, which I recorded in one take, no practice sessions or multiple tries, it just turned out pretty magical, I thought so anyway haha.. There are a few moments where energy starts to build into a more trancey sound, but the majority of the mix stays pretty grounded in this super relaxing, atmospheric, melodic progressive vibe, which was exactly what I was shooting for, and exactly what my soul needed at that moment. Next week is Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday, and also, subsequently, my birthday as well haha, so I will be heading down to Portland to spend time with my family. I hope that you all are well, and enjoy the holidays. Hopefully, this mix will bring a little happiness and joy to you somewhere out there. On Friday, October 10th, I was incredibly honored to be the opener for world-renown, Julius O'Riordan, better known by his stage name for almost three decades, JUDGE JULES; vintage, old-school UK DJ/Record Producer, and entertainment lawyer. He is known for his long-running radio show on BBC Radio 1, which achieved global success, and then later his club residencies “Judgement Sundays” at Eden night club in Ibiza (later rebranded as "Gatecrasher"), and then later just “Judgement”, a staple name for many of us back then in the earlier days of Trance and rave. He was voted best DJ in the world by DJ Mag in 1995. Anyway, this show was a huge thrill for me, and I got to open the night with another good DJ friend of mine, the lovely Janice Chae, a.k.a. J-Note. I admit that when offered the show I was a bit perplexed on what to play, because Judge Jules typically plays a variety of genres, ranging from Garage House to more ravey techno, mixed in with some vintage Trance sounds and other EDM influences, so for this set I sort of indexed more on the House and Indie/Dance side, with a little Bass music and Trance mixed in for good measure. Not what I consider to be my usual “Gotek” sweet spot, but it ended up being a lot of fun to play, and the awesome crowd that turned out to welcome Julius to Seattle seemed to really have fun with it on the dance floor, which was awesome!! Julius was a totally cool, funny, quirky guy behind the decks, and a true British gentlemen, a genuine pleasure to meet in person, and obviously, to hand the decks off to.. On Friday, July 25th, 2025, I was beyond honored to be an opening DJ for, and have the distinct honor of handing the decks off to, none other than world-renown and beloved Italian Trance DJ/Producer and massive Trance pioneer and influencer, Giuseppe Ottaviani, a.k.a. GO, at Ora Nightclub in Seattle!!! This was actually my second time getting to hand off to Giuseppe, the first time was at the Underground in Seattle back in 2016 (that set is also here on Soundcloud if you scroll way down haha), so I was counting my blessings to be able to have another opportunity to support this amazing talent, and super nice, humble gentleman, to boot!! Anyway, if you haven’t noticed, it’s been a while since I have had a legit club show with a headliner, been super focused on my “real” job for the past 6 months, so I was actually feeling pretty nervous before the show, that I might be rusty and not have my “sea legs” about me haha.. However, I put a lot of work into this set leading up to the show, and (as I should have known) I once again discovered that once I started playing, and saw all those beautiful, smiling faces out in the crowd, hands in the air, I immediately felt right at home behind the decks, my happy place, my Zen, and everything went perfectly!! Anyway, I really loved the way this set turned out, and the feedback I got after the show was so amazing as well, lots of sweaty hugs and high fives etc, the best kind of positive affirmation there is haha. Hey guys, hope everyone’s having a great summer so far! So, I finally got this next iteration of my “Prog Sessions” demo series recorded over the 4th of July weekend! You may have noticed that I have taken a bit of a break on the DJ front this year, and that is primarily because of my actual career “day job” has finally gotten to the point where the workload and stress of my job kind of kills my energy level to work on music during the weekends. Plus, sadly, the Trance/Progressive scene in Seattle is going through a bit of a dry spell, not as many local Trance shows or opportunities for me to be an opener DJ for a headliner, etc. especially since several of my old and beloved “stomping-grounds” NW DJ clubs from yesteryear closed down during COVID.. However, rest assured, the passion will never truly die, and regardless of whether I am posting sets or not, I am still constantly listening, researching, and collecting new music for future DJ sets, so you know I’ll always be back eventually, like a moth to the flame haha. The good news is that, aside from getting out a new Prog Sessions set for your listening pleasure, I do have an awesome show coming up in a couple weeks at ORA Nightclub, where I will be opening for world-famous and beloved Italian DJ/Producer, Giuseppe Ottaviani, on Friday, July 25th!! Can’t WAIT for that one!! So, lastly, I really liked the way this one turned out, it was a one-time-through dry run that I recorded and thought, “that’s it”, that’s exactly what I wanted, that hypnotic journey through sound, beautiful Progressive House ramping into more ethereal Progressive Trance, my happy place.. The photo is one I took on a vacation that I took to Rome about 10 years ago, the beautiful Basilica of St. John Lateran, the oldest public church in Rome, consecrated in 324 CE by Pope Sylvester I. I always loved the way the sunlight played through the clouds in the backdrop, very magical looking. So, this was in honor of Giuseppe Ottaviani, our Roman Trance Champion, coming to Seattle this month!! =)

On Saturday, October 5th, I was honored to open for KRISTINA SKY, an LA-based Progressive & Trance DJ/Producer, who’s been around for a couple decades and has been recognized as ranked # 13 on TrancePodium's Top 100 DJs, and # 39 on America's Best DJ, having played so many festivals and guest DJ appearances on so many global Trance DJ shows and podcasts throughout the years. I have met Kristina in the past, and it was so cool to see her again, and reconnect with such a nice and sincere person and DJ. This set was so much fun to play, I had just opened for Markus Schulz a few weeks before and was just still coming down from that high, so I was stoked to be offered this show so quickly afterwards, especially since I hadn’t played a show since April before that. This is one of those sets where every track just fell together and created such an incredible vibe, and really allowed me to connect with the audience at a very personal level.
