The following account was found in a box of diaries purchased in a London auction house in 1977. While its validity remains questionable, certain records suggest that events similar to those described did occur in Punjab Province in February, 1905.

Hello, the name's Ulysses, I hunt monsters for the government, and I don't mean people. Vampires, zombies, demons, werewolves, hell even a Wendigo! You name it, I've encountered it. Anyway, a little background on me. I was born in the bayous of Louisiana. I hunted gators for most of my life, then the government comes and they say "Ulysses, We want you work for us hunting monsters." Can't I say I blame em. I'm the best damn gator hunter in Louisiana and I guess they figured I'd be pretty good at that too!

You are the only "Magecat" in this reality, but you are not the only unnatural, nor even the only nocturnal. In a few years, there will be more even stranger forces unleashed on this reality. They are a threat to the inhabitants of this reality and can keep it from merging back into your own. It's your job to bring it back to the main limb, so to speak. You are Our Lady's feline factor here!

There was no visible trail cutting into the forest. The green, red and gold wall of trees waited beckoned to us with no clear path forwards. I could sense the others looking at it too, and I wondered if any of them knew where to start. A deep breath before the plunge… My legs moved me forwards, bringing me to the edge of the forest. I passed through the pale birch trees, and I could hear the other three moving behind me. The hike had begun...I only wish we truly understood what was about to happen!!

If you were to name a monster, I’ve most likely hunted it. I take assignments that send me all over the world, and I get paid quite handsomely for my work. Monster hunters in my league are few and far between, and I wouldn’t recommend calling one of us in for something like a Skinwalker, as those are below my pay grade. Occasionally, though, I’ll pick up one of those jobs if work is slow.

The following entries were taken from an old journal found along the Yukon River in February, 1905. All attempts to locate the animal described in the journal have been unsuccessful. Until further noticed, the following entries are said to be the product of severe hallucinations.
