We play a round of Fiasco in space! Wam joins us in Jared's chair (we miss you, Jared). The conniving geologist rivals, the angry commander, the delusional AI, and the feckless pilot all conspire to ensure that everything that can go wrong will go wrong on this mission to Mercury!
Now level 20, our heroes and their githyanki allies travel to the astral plane to take on an illithid mothership! They face a whole slew of mind flayers firing lightning guns and a disintegration ray, an illithilich on a dracolich, and then face off against the elder brain and an iron tentacled colossus! Mouse gets stunned but recovers with a vengeance! Yngvar gets the nasty end of the disintegration ray! Galron casts a wish! Grimm is unhittable! S'arth Traados and his red dragon tangle with the undead illithilich on his dracolich! We bid farewell to Jared who's moving to Texas and to the Stormy Seas campaign!
With Balandor and Slarkrethel dead together, Grimm and the Hornraven brothers with their condescending genius crab Bess press on to fight the Elder Brain and its Mind Flayer minions! Things go badly but then the second Spawn of Slarkrethel turns the tables and victory appears to be within their grasp, but the Elder Brain escapes to the Astral Plane! The group explores the surrounding rooms and finds a surgery room and a large library full of preserved brains, so they decide to try their hand at brain transplants! Under Yngvar's knife, Grimm and Galron will never be the same!
After receiving a mighty gift from Valkur, the party does exactly what everyone tells you never to do: they go up against an Elder Kraken, in its lair, underwater! Oh, and did we mention that it is accompanied by and controlled by a mind flayer elder brain? Who will sacrifice themselves to save their friends from the awful doom that is Slarkrethel?
After battling aggressive starfish in what became the most disgusting hallway ever, the party meets a crazy lady and then descends to the ruins of Ascarle by loudly banging a gong to distract the shoggoth guardian. Once there, they meet up with an old friend, bluff their way into the underground portion by convincing a Kraken priest he's needed elsewhere, fight some sahuagin and merrow, and try to find a very important chalice!
In the town of Vilkstead in the Purple Rocks, a series of disgusting interactions convinces the party that the mind flayers are in control! The culinary rivalry between the Hornraven brothers escalates to Galron murdering some fishermen with his fishing rod! The temple of Valkur has been defiled and the town must be cleansed, so they call in their troops and allies while they take on the mind flayer! Balandor nearly gets his brain sucked out but the cowardly illithid flees to another plane. They travel to Trisk and seek the entrance to the underwater ruin of Ascarle where the elder kraken Slarkrethel is said to dwell.

In Neverwinter, the crew picks up their Halruaan skyship and rechristens it the Morning Glory! They check in with old friends and learn that while some have prospered, others have fallen on hard times. Looking for allies, the party sails to Uttersea on the volcanic island of Tuern to look for the githyanki and are surprised to hear that the locals aren't aware of the red-dragon-riding extraplanar beings. A trip into the Fault of Flame brings them to the githyanki lair and an unusual challenge: they must prove themselves in a pit fight against fully armed fire giants!
In the Nelanther Isles, the crew infiltrates the headquarters of the Black Armada and battles Sea King Tentrix and his minions! What happens when you put a cow in a portable hole for longer than its air supply will allow? How many party members share responsibility for killing Yngvar again? Who is controlling the Black Armada and where will the trail lead?

Mouse stays behind to lead the firbolgs of Norland! At Caer Moray the crew fights wereboars and meets Balandor, a reincarnated paladin of Valkur! At Caer Corwell, they intervene in a standoff between beseiged Harpers and angry fey and find their old frenemy Captain Callous! Sailing to the Nelanthers, there is a fire and Barnacle Bess finds a beau! In Skaug, they hear of a tribe of sahaugin led by a hag named Auntie Gristle, and buy up their unclaimed tiles on the cheap! They meet Delgar of the Emerald Blade, a retired pirate cursed with a skeleton steel drum band! They hire a bard in town and swear on Orphiel's Cage! In Ioma, they buy purple crystals and in Nemessor, they get sucked into the Astral Plane by a whirlpool and emerge hundreds of miles away in Asavir's Channel where they confront the legendary zombie dragon turtle known as the Curse of Irphong!
In Ruathym, the Hall of Black Waves has been taken over by the Storm Maiden and her frost giant followers, bent on desecrating it and turning it from Valkur to Umberlee! Mouse returns home to the Moonshaes to help the firbolg tribes fighting humans there, but it causes a rift in the party when Lallagh, leader of the firbolgs, suggests destroying Rogarsheim and all the humans in it. Will Mouse lead his people to victory or protect the humans of the island?
