Do Geese Have Udders?

In this episode, the pair revisit Matt's folder and dive into some fun facts (or facks, as he's labelled them) which include a strange crime and how they got caught and Michael has a crack at guessing some films.  

Matt also ponders the question (in July for some reason) and wants to know what Michael's most memorable Halloween was...

Michael starts today's episode, having done some research, on the topic of languages; more specifically, questioning what is currently the youngest language in the world (as we all know Latin is one of the oldest).  

We also go through some notes which Matt has made on his phone, and it's clear that even he doesn't know what some of them meant, but he shares them nevertheless.  

Matt's wisdom from today's episode seems to be the belief that a snake doesn't actually have a body...

This episodes begins with a little historic fact about London Bridge, the real one, which isn't actually in London anymore.  

Matt's Folder Filter makes a return, although it would seem that even he keeps forgetting what he'd called it; possibly now the Fact Folder (or the File Folder Fact File Folder). Michael selects a card and it is full of debate topics. Some seem to be very thought provoking questions of discussion, although it's clear to Michael that Matt's mind must have taken a wonder by the second question...

Michael starts this episode by doing what usually happens on DGHU, by addressing an unanswered question from many episodes ago to do with checkers & draughts.  

This episode unintentionally finds its way on a board game theme from the very start, continuing on into a small bingo related story that Michael had heard at work that didn't go where he thought it was going. Then the pair learn about a human game of chess that used real(ish) soldiers and try to work out what other traditional games could be upscaled...

Boris has finally said it's ok for Michael and Matt to sit together in the shed, so at last, the show returns again.  

Having hardly seen each other in person for months, the duo begin the episode discussing what they've each been up to over the past few months whilst locked away and stuck inside their respected homes. One thing Michael is very jealous of is the fact that Matt has been able to grow a somewhat decent beard.  

Apparently, Michael's been spending a lot of time writing whilst Matt has been out running, whilst carrying a large bottle of undiluted squash on his back...

Sadly, due to the lockdown rules in the UK, Michael and Matt were unable to meet up in the shed to record a big Christmas show with special guests. However, we still wanted to put out a 'special' show this Christmas before the year is up.  

And so instead, we managed to compile a range of clips which never made it into previous episodes for various reasons; too much rambling, prioritised more recent segments or just that we couldn't find a place to put them.

In our fourth episode this series with our friend Darius, we begin the show with the discussion on Darius's Seafood Plater which, for some reason, seems to be podcast worthy news. This leads the trio to further discuss how Lobsters should be cooked.
