In a continuing education class, we've all heard valuable gems that benefit our business or horrifying things you can't believe someone said out loud. Either way, there's something to be gained from both and in this episode I share things I've heard and the takeaways we can get from them.

North America has suffered a lot of devastating natural disasters over the last 10 years. I was curious about how billions of dollars of insurance claims and lawsuits are affecting the insurance industry, so I brought Bob Barone back into the studio for a conversation.

You made it to the last week of your productivity challenge! Now it's time to get face-to-face with your peeps. This could be coffee, lunch, dinner, drinks, jogging, hiking, kayaking, star gazing, whatever!
We are in a relationship business. We thrive on cultivating strong relationships with people who become repeat clients and invaluable referral sources, not to mention sometimes becoming great friends.
Schedule a face-to-face meeting with 5 NEW people this week. Keep your market update pitch or request for referrals in your back pocket. Really try to use this time to connect with your client/business partner/etc. on a personal level, before you hit them with a business ask.
Keep me posted on how the challenge has been for you and what you're getting out of it. By now you should have sown at last 75 seeds you can harvest this spring.

Welcome to week 3 of your productivity challenge! This week is old-school as your task is to write 5 note cards a day, every day, to 5 NEW people. Extra credit for sending a card to someone you spoke to last week, but they don't count towards your challenge.
Personal notes are a thoughtful way to connect with people. It makes more of an impression than another email. Don't we all get way too much email as it is?
Post a photo of your stack of cards to my Facebook page. I'd love to see what you pick out this week to send to folks.

Welcome to week 2 of your productivity challenge! This week you will conquer the phones. Pick 5 people a day, every day, to call. I give you suggestions for "reasons to call" if you need help.
This is a great way to connect with your database at the beginning of the year and also with any leads that have cooled off in your pipeline.
Post a photo of you to my Facebook page while you're making your calls with #teleboss. Crush it!!
