I remember years ago hearing the term of “righteous indignation.” It was used in a religious context as a strong perspective and feeling that elicits motivation to act, and to change an existing circumstance for the better. I was encouraged by this idea.

I want to encourage you, to choose to be better versus bitter through the difficult circumstances of life.  Be a positive change agent. Sometimes you are uniquely positioned because of your experience and sphere of influence to be able to positively influence change. Being bitter is a choice, being better is a choice – choose better.

It’s important to find a way to realize the talent of those who look to us for leadership.

As a person in any position, it is important to understand how we influence other’s first impression of us.

It is also important to present ourselves authentically. 

It's difficult to completely eliminate or suppress our biases and preferences. However, it may serve us well to be conscious of them ,so that we can base our final impressions and decisions upon truth, facts, and direct interaction.

The next time you are making first impressions, ask yourself if the basis of the impression is objective and if not – try again.

It's the stuff noone wants to go through, that are often the experiences that bring some clarity, focus, goal commitment, courage, and embolden us to strive and to thrive despite the circumstances pressing us to give up or settle.

Reward has to have something to acknowledge, new capabilities, experiences, and milestones.

Experience prepares us to best handle the opportunities in our future.

Keep going, it’s all part of the journey, it takes time.
