Dog Star Oracle Report

Mars, planet of action, energy, and motivation goes into its water sign home of Scorpio this week from Sept 22 until November 4th. This is a shift that will help us to feel more passionate, more driven, and more strategic. This is an excellent transit to help us focus on achieving our aims and goals as it’s helped out by Jupiter in Cancer, as well as fanning the flames of our passions. However, as it squares Mars in Pluto on Wednesday and Thursday, keep an eye out for particularly intense and obsessive energies those days!Want a reading for your sign and want to learn more about this energy? It’s the finale of eclipse season, baby!

This is the second New Moon in Virgo in a row, and this one is an eclipse. As an eclipse on the south node, yes, there can be beginnings, but after a period of release, endings, and clearing toxicity from your life. This eclipse is also opposite Saturn, planet of lessons, grit, and determination. This eclipse is not a happy-go-lucky time, but an energy that can us realistically assess what’s in the way or blocking us if we feel like we’re having a difficult time manifesting the good in our lives.

Change is in the air this week as the total lunar eclipse in Pisces approaches on September 7th!

Eclipses bring change, an interruption to the daily rhythm of life. And like all full moons, this can bring an ending, a completion, or something culminating. But eclipses can feel much more intense and be that much more significant.

Luckily this eclipse feels extremely supportive and fortunate, and you might called to listen to your intuition, honor your feelings, and feel encouraged to take a risk and go in the direction of your dreams, as this eclipse is ruled and making a gorgeous aspect to Jupiter, planet of expansion and faith, in Cancer.

Eclipse cycles are also linked in their themes, and this eclipse story is connected to something that began during September 2024, and also March of this year.

What can you expect for this Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon? Enjoy the forecast!

In this lead-up week to eclipse season and the first week of Virgo Season, we have plenty of exciting Astrology to cover!Venus, planet of love, beauty, and relationships, enters dramatic, expressive, and committed Leo where she’ll remain until September 19th. During her time in Leo she’ll make a trine to Saturn, so Venus in Leo can be helpful for forming committed relationships. Saturn re-enters Pisces on September 1st, and while Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, and Pisces will feel this the most, this is also super helpful for Jupiter in Cancer. Jupiter has been locked in a difficult square to Saturn since May 2024(!!) and since Saturn has moved out of Aries this lets expansive, helpful Jupiter do its thing without difficult constriction energy from taskmaster Saturn. How does all of this stack up for your sign? The New Moon in Virgo is not your average New Moon. Virgo is often associated with the humility, routine, decluttering, and wellness - and while these themes certainly apply to this New Moon, this lunation will be exactly square Uranus, the planet of revolution, freedom, and change, in the sign of Gemini.

We could feel a need to break with convention or usher in dramatic change under this New Moon. We could also experience unanticipated changes under this lunation as well with unpredictable Uranus.

Additionally, this is the first of two New Moons in the sign of Virgo, the second being solar eclipse on September 21st. So this New Moon could feel ‘eclipse-y’ meaning there can be an eclipse flavor to this New Moon, pointing to more significant changes occurring in September when we have both a Lunar and Solar eclipse in the signs of Virgo and Pisces.

What does this New Moon mean for your sign? Enjoy the video and happy New Moon!

The Full Moon in Aquarius occurs between two extremes. On one hand, we have some really tough astrology via a Mars/Saturn opposition. This energy can speak to delays, frustrations, blockages, and irritation. On the other hand, just a few days later we have a conjunction of Venus and Jupiter, which indicates major blessings, opportunities, and sweetness via connection with loved ones and family. Additionally, Mercury, planet of communication and messages, finally stations direct, opposite Pluto. Yes, this indicates the end of Mercury Retrograde, but it also indicates possibly that secrets and hidden information will be unearthed at this time. How does all of this stack up for your sign?

The New Moon and Mercury Retrograde in Leo are here, and this is certainly an intense cycle as they both oppose Pluto, the planet of the underworld, secrets, and obsession. On a collective level, this is speaking to the obsession of finding the truth of the Epstein Files, and Donald Trump is a major player in this Astrology, as the retrograde is happening in his first house of Leo. On a personal level, this energy can represent taking on a significant challenge and facing your fears. After all, Pluto does represent transformation and healing. But make no mistake, this is not a cuddly, love and light New Moon. This is an INTENSE lunation and Mercury Retrograde cycle. July 2025 is another incredibly active Astrological month, as Uranus, planet of disruption, rebellion, authenticity, and genius, enters Gemini for the first time since 1948. This is just a preview of a much longer transit, as it leaves Gemini in November to finish up its journey in Taurus, when it re-enters the sign of the Twins in April 2026.

We have a Full Moon in Capricorn on July 10th ruled by Saturn in Aries - it suggests it’s a time of transition, and that the usual structures of our lives and in society at large are in flux and we’re not sure which way is up, and which is down.

On the 18th, Mercury stations retrograde in Leo, and a few days later on the 24th we have a powerful New Moon in Leo opposite Pluto in Aquarius. This New Moon in my opinion suggests potential to make significant changes in our lives, but they do suggest facing a daunting challenge head-on. It involves power dynamics, power struggles, a sense of obsession and being fixated and laser-focused. In this video I touch on the overview of the month, but this video is primarily a horoscope for your Rising Sign. Enjoy!

During the last part of June 2025, we have arguably the most magical New Moon of the year with the New Moon in Cancer on June 25th. The Moon will be conjunct Jupiter, the planet of expansion and blessings, taking place hours after Jupiter's annual conjunction with the Sun. This is the time to do some magic, work on your manifestations, and wish upon a star. The first week of June brings two major blessings as Venus, planet of love and beauty, and Jupiter, planet of expansion, shift into Taurus and Cancer respectively.

Why is this so major? These are the benefic planets, planets that want to affirm, expand, and help us out - going into signs of their rulership and exaltation. In English, this means that these planets will be functioning at their highest, juiciest expression. That’s a net positive for you, me, and our society at large. This week we also have an expansive Full Moon in Sagittarius on the 11th.
