Today's episode is one of my absolute favorites on a topic that we don't discuss enough - natural, non-hormonal birth control. Today I ask - what if you could have unprotected sex the majority of the month, without worry, and without having to be on hormonal birth control?
Sound too good to be true? Well, you might be surprised to find out that more and more women are taking control of their fertility without hormonal or potentially invasive methods of contraception.
Reproductive health practitioner Lisa Hendrickson-Jack explains what Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) is, who it's for, how it works, how it's backed by science, and what it looks like on a daily basis.

"The body is a manifestation of the subconscious mind…" Hashimoto's is much more than just a thyroid disease - it can wreak havoc on the brain, liver, and other organs. If you or someone you know has this disease this is a great listen to learn how Hashimoto's and the body function are intricately connected.
Thyroid expert and Chinese Medicine practitioner Mark Ryan is here to talk about autoimmune diseases and their impact on the entire body. Mark is also the author of How to Heal Hashimoto's and The Hashimoto's Healing Diet.
Mark and I discuss the simple truth about Hashimoto's: it's way more than a thyroid problem. Over time it progressively becomes a body-wide disorder.

This episode has 2 parts. In the first half, I interview Todd Shipman of Sun Piper Wellness - who was my Kambo practitioner. We discuss why he started doing Kambo, what the active compounds are in Kambo, and what it feels like to be on Kambo. Todd also discusses what he's experienced being a practitioner and the outcomes he's seen in his clients.
In the second half, my husband, Austin, and I sit down to share our three-day journey with Kambo Amazonian frog medicine. We talk about what we felt in our body and the mental experience when doing it, why we decided to do it, and what advice we have for other people who may feel called try Kambo.

We each have a different path to optimal health based on our unique experiences, genetics, and actions. Today we look at health beyond food and how you can start taking control of your personal wellness.
Tyler Jean (you may know him on Instagram as Functional Foods), is a naturopathic doctor whose approach is holistically-minded but rooted in science.
In this episode, we go deep into health beyond food and a wide range of wellness topics. Tyler gives advice on detoxing the body and the organ systems we often forget about in the process. We talk about one of my favorite things - saunas - and their healing benefits. Tyler and I agree on the importance of sleep and discuss why the "I'll sleep when I'm dead" approach could lead to serious health issues for you. We end on ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) and the research showing the massive impact trauma can have on our health.

What was once deeply associated with the hippie movement is now being used to help people recover from trauma and improve their mental health. Today we're talking psychedelics and psychedelic therapy.
Ronan Levy, co-founder and chairman of Field Trip Health is actively contributing to the psychedelic renaissance by providing a space for clinical mental health treatment using ketamine assisted therapy (and hopefully MDMA and psilocybin assisted therapy in the future when approved by the FDA).
Ronan and I talk about what it feels like to be on psychedelics, how the brain is affected by psychedelics, and what's actually happening biologically when someone is on psychedelics. We also discuss the incredible clinical studies and trials happening with MDMA and psilocybin and how they are contributing to the betterment of mental health and mental health treatment.
Psychedelics have offered me profound experiences in my own life, and whether you're interested in trying them or not, this episode on the psychedelic renaissance is profoundly informative.
Enjoy!
