Don't Expect Anything

Due to a certain lack of care Jeremy took booking last week’s odd guest, the gauntlet was thrown down by Huw to step up his game and OH BOY DID HE. Tasked with getting someone more interesting than Jarmusch Kranky, Huw used is apparent jail experience to find another interesting person for Jeremy and Josh to interview. Enter Janley, the prison line-cook who uses eggs in a variety of interesting ways to distract from the reality of life behind bars.

This is a very illuminating look inside our maximum security prisons and as such, should be treated with the respect of an award winning documentary.

This week the boys talk about their siblings, wherein they reflect fondly on their childhood experiences and memories but also with just a whisper of emotional abuse. Upon their return from memory lane they forge ahead into discussions concerning orgy catering, height, and receiving advice from alcoholics/narcissists. There’s almost a genuine conversation about self-reflection at the end but then Jeremy is laughed offstage. Enjoy!

This week the boys discuss several classic parenthood capers in some imaginary world where they, unfortunately, have children to care for. Josh contemplates alternate holiday mascots and annoys his sister. Huw totally isn’t scared of Santa and also totally isn’t watching kids in the sand pit. Crazy stuff.

This week, in honour of the release of Avengers: Endgame, Jeremy wanted to talk about the Marvel Cinematic Universe in depth, so he “got rid” of Josh and Huw and brought in some actual nerds. Friends of the show Liv Staffieri and John Toy stopped by to rank their Top 10 Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Even with new co-hosts, Jeremy still finds away to be the butt of the joke with his… shall we say… differing opinions about some particular movies.
