CD 1600 “Reigning in Righteousness Series” - Part 5

(WALKING in WISDOM and Using Understanding)

   The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ should be in the earth today what Jesus was when He walked in the flesh by the presence of the Holy Spirit! But we have our priorities upside down and have put man’s programs in front of the Bible! We came to salvation by the “Living Word” and it is only by that same “Living Word” can we learn how to reign in this life!

   To finish out this prophetic year of release we need to get back to the basics of everyday relationship with the Lord. So we are in  WEEK #5 of this series that will teach us how to grow from a “baby believer” to a “KINGDOM KID”! This week we are looking at how WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING work together in harmony to determine our path and its brightness and our level of intimacy with the Lord!

   We can locate ourselves by looking into the mirror of the Word of God, for our Lord can’t lie! Ask the Holy Spirit Who leads into all TRUTH to reveal how much you are being led by your 5 senses versus what the Word teaches! We need to learn how to live victoriously NOW for life is brief if we are simply living for the moment. Let's remind ourselves of the verse we read the first 4  weeks on the shortness of this life and be created to reign:

*James 4:14 (KJV) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

   You were created to rule from the beginning and in Christ you are to rule:

*Genesis 1:26 (KJV)  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…

*Revelation 1:6 (KJV) And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 

   Jesus taught us to work while it is day for the night is coming when no person can work! Today is the day of salvation and we must have the ”NOW FAITH” to WALK in WISDOM and Use Understanding on a daily consistent basis!

*Series Text: Proverbs 4:18-19 (KJV) But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. 19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

*Series Text: Romans 5:17 (KJV) For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 

   Like we said from the start of this series as we progress we will break down these verses very concisely! So, today we are ready to dive deeper into the thought  in Proverbs chapter 4 dealing with “WISDOM” and “Understanding”.  We must have both in proportion to learn how to live free! 

This morning we will look at these 3 points:

#1 Hear as a Child

#2 Have (GET) as a Child

#3 Heritage of a Child

Our path will get brighter and brighter each step of the way as we “WALKING in WISDOM and Using Understanding”! “WISDOM and Understanding” as we will look more closely at today is the “principal thing”:

*Proverbs 4:7 (KJV)  “WISDOM” is the principal thing; therefore get “WISDOM”: and with all thy getting get “Understanding”.

What then? are we better than they ? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; [10] As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: [11] There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

As we progress in this series we will break down these verses very concisely but we must build on the Word in order to get there. This morning we will look at these 3 points:

#1 No HEARING (full teaching)

#2 No GROWING (alive but not living)

#3 No INSTRUCTORS (called but can’t respond)

Turn with me to Paul’s letter to the church at Corinth please:

#1 No HEARING (full teaching)

*1 Corinthians 3:1 (KJV) And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto CARNAL, even as unto babes in Christ.

Note “CARNAL” #4559 (sar-kee-kos') pertaining to the flesh - unregenerate!

   A “Christian but Carnal”  is a babe in Christ and has a little of the Holy Spirit and a great deal of the flesh, and the flesh is his ruling mark. Being a “Christian but Carnal” has a high price tag! The Apostle Paul had much to teach these at Corinth but they could NOT hear His full teaching because their body was dominating their soul (mind-will-emotions)! Hold Your place here and turn to the Epistle of 1 Peter please:

*1 Peter 2:11 (KJV) Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from FLESHLY lusts, which war against the soul;

I was praying in the Spirit for this service tonight and I kept hearing the impotence of Jesus being our Way! Then after much prayer the Holy Spirit said the key to walking in the Way was simply obedience! Then He spoke into my spirit 3 places to start:

#3 Obey Works

Q. Do you know who saved you? Do you know who you are in Him, in Jesus Christ?

   The prophet Isaiah prophesied of this time in Christ Jesus that we are living in right now:

*Isaiah 32:1 (KJV) Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

   You can’t know the real you until you know the real Jesus in a personal daily fellowship. Adam and Eve walked in the “COOL” (RUACH ) of the day until their identity was lost when they took the serpent’s word over the Word of the Living God Almight:

#1 Identity Lost

*Genesis 3:1-7 (KJV) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. 

   We will talk about this in a moment but, Adam and Eve were accustomed to walking with the Lord God in the cool (RUACH) of the day! In other words they walked, hearing and fellowshipping with the Holy “RUACH ”
