Raimo de Vries came to the U.S. from the Netherlands to get an education and play college soccer at Wake Forest for Philly and U.S. soccer legend Walt Chyzowych. After turning pro with the Raleigh Flyers, he ended up on the Colorado Rapids in 1996, the first season of MLS. Now with MLS set to resume its 25th season he's one of eight father-son combos in MLS history with his son Jack de Vries poised to make his MLS debut with the Philadelphia Union.

While things continue to unfold in the Orlando bubble, we preview the Union's chances in the MLS is Back Tournament. We are super excited to talk some soccer again with the likeliness that there will actually be MLS games to watch in just a few days. The first half of the episode is dedicated to what we hope to see from the Union and certain players in the tournament, from break out players to possible position battles. The second half, we get into the tournament as a whole and pick who we think will get out of each group with a *big* prize on the line. We also preview the Union v. NYCFC game that will happen bright and early on July 9th (hopefully).

Very little Union-related news has happened since the last time we recorded which means this podcast got very weird. We discuss the NBA's Orlando accommodations and see how it compares to MLS. Also since Premier League is getting "walk-up" songs for their players, AJ found songs fit for each Union player as well as some opponents. In the second half, we take part in SB Nation's theme week, video game week, and pitch our failed video games to each other and it... well it goes about how you'd expect it to go.

It finally happened, MLS has returned with a tournament in Orlando to make due with ongoing circumstances regarding COVID-19. While it is weird and certain details are unclear, we love that we get to talk Union soccer once again. We discuss the group drawings and how we feel about the Union's group, other groups that might be interesting, as well as trying to put this tournament in perspective among other MLS competitions. We are rusty but it was fun to get into some soccer discussion that we have missed for so long. Enjoy!

One of the unlikeliest of comebacks you'll ever see in soccer occurred in the NCAA Tournament in 2016 when Providence erased a 4-1 deficit in the second half at Maryland and went on to win the game with four goals in 12 minutes. I talked to one of the goal scorers that night, Nick Sailor, and Delaware native Keasel Broome, who was part of the Providence team with Nick that won the Big East Championship and advanced to the College Cup in 2014.

In this episode we don't have any interviews it's a full AJ + Luke production, for better or worse. We discuss the possibility of an Orlando MLS tournament and other possible scenarios to get MLS games going, how to make fan-less soccer matches more interesting, and some important "what-if" talk. In the last segment, we do one of our most ridiculous but possibly most important drafts to date. Enjoy!

Double dose of brothers! We are ecstatic to have gotten the chance to interview the Aaronson brothers for this episode. Brenden has broken through to be on of the most talented young playmakers in the American player pool and Paxten is an academy prospect that already has the Union fanbase excited to see. Both brothers come across as super level-headed with typical brotherly banter that led to a great interview that we are really excited to share.
