July 27, 2018Why So Serious?Today on the show we're talking about seriousness. Being serious all the time...what good does it do? Part of enjoying life is having fun! I know we're all dealing with difficult things, being creative is difficult and starting a business is difficult but to be brooding like batman all the time isn't going to move the needle either. Part of growth is sometimes letting go and having yourself a good time. So don't worry so much. July 26, 2018Common Sense Doesn't ExistToday we're talking about the concept of common sense and why I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist. Not only do we talk about why it doesn't exist but why the concept is holding you back from better understanding yourself and the people around you. This one might feel a little difficult if you're so used to just coasting through the vocabulary you use in life or don't like to think too deeply about this stuff but I assume you do, because you're here! So don't worry, C-Note is here to help you through it. Let's talk about it on the latest episode of DOPEamine!More Episodes: http://www.dopeamine.lifePodcast and MBTI Courses: http://www.cnote.media--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/happychemicals/message Get full access to DOPEamine at dopeamine.substack.com/subscribe...more26minPlay
July 25, 2018Bob Dudley on Defining SuccessToday on the show I have Bob Dudley with me to discuss a few major topics, one of them being the definition of success. Bob is the product of a difficult youth but with natural ambition to create his own path he was able to take charge of his life and create a new life for himself. Through persistence and a drive to be something more than destiny had in story for him, he made every effort to build something for himself. He's since done that multiple times and now coaches others on how they can define their own success and create that success. We had an amazing conversation about all of those topics and more. Here's Madison's Book:https://www.amazon.com/Everyone-Makes-Mistakes-Living-Daddy/dp/0692559299/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8www.LifeChangers180.orgYou can learn more about the show at http://www.dopeamine.lifeYou can learn more about the host, Christian Rivera, at http://www.himynameischristian.comYou can join our support group over at http://www.dopeamine.group--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/happychemicals/message Get full access to DOPEamine at dopeamine.substack.com/subscribe...more47minPlay
July 24, 2018Mental Illness and ViolenceToday on the show we're talking about a pretty heavy topic. We're discussing Mental Illness and Violence. Specifically we're discussing domestic violence and the excuses that both parties make for the continued behavior. Whether it's love, the perception of love, upbringing or other external factors that are keeping people from learning about themselves...it's important to realize that abuse always involves having to take personal responsibility for your behavior. Mental illness is not an excuse to be a jerk. Mental illness can accentuate bad behavior but it does not cause it. I get a bit harsh on this episode, so trigger warning for the topic and my tone of voice. Strap in cause it's going to be a bumpy ride on this episode of DOPEamine!More Episodes: http://www.dopeamine.lifeCourses: http://www.cnote.media--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/happychemicals/message Get full access to DOPEamine at dopeamine.substack.com/subscribe...more31minPlay
July 23, 2018Apathetically SocialToday on the show we're talking about apathy with being social. Many of us are introverts, many of us don't have the energy to deal with many aspects of the outside world. So, should we feel terrible about that? The short answer is NO! We shouldn't ever feel bad about the boundaries we need to employ. But it's also not always that easy because we don't want to shun ourselves completely from the outside world. So, don't worry, we'll talk all about it on the latest episode of DOPEamine!More Episodes: http://www.dopeamine.lifeCourses: http://www.cnote.media--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/happychemicals/message Get full access to DOPEamine at dopeamine.substack.com/subscribe...more22minPlay

July 18, 2018MBTI: What is Intuition?Today on day 3 of MBTI week we're talking about Intuition. What is it? What does it mean to be an intuitive? Specifically, intuitive means you're an intuitive learner because intuition versus sensing is all about learning style, which is about you take in (perceive) information. There's a mysterious aire to intuition thought that's mostly because there is a swath of subconscious pattern recognition going on. So put on your thinking cap and get ready to learn something on today's episode of DOPEamine!More episodes: http://www.dopeamine.lifeCourses: http://www.cnote.media--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/happychemicals/message This is a public episode. July 17, 2018MBTI: "Ambiverts"As we continue MBTI week, we're next going to talk about the concept of Ambiverts and how it has led to some identity confusion. People tend to dismiss MBTI because they only see the surface level concepts and don't take the time to learn that Myers-Briggs covers the concept of ambiversion. Each of us has two introverted and extroverted traits, it's just a matter of how we prioritize them. So, identifying yourself as an ambivert is good for development but also inaccurate and that's what we're here to break down. So chill out, grab a beverage and join us for the next episode of DOPEamine!More Episodes: http://www.dopeamine.lifeCourses: http://www.cnote.media--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/happychemicals/message This is a public episode. The course is called Super Myers-Briggs Turbo EX and is the advanced course for MBTI understanding. Today we're covering the topic of Figuring Out Your Type because it can be a little confusing. We may get multiple results in differing scenarios and not know what to do from there. So this process is pretty important before you dive further into understanding the depth of your type.
