When are we being paranoid and when are we being stereotypical ourselves? Muslim-American moms have to be extra careful to be friendly enough, but also safety savvy in a way other moms don’t. The identity of “being stuck” or “ABCD” vs. the firmly planted identities of native-born Muslim-American children will be addressed as well as offensive vs. intentional curiosity.
Let’s talk about discrimination, hijab, Muslim identity, and how we plan to shape the paths our kids will tread in the future.
