Down To Watch

The Joker: "Oh, I'm not gonna kill you... I'm just gonna hurt you really, really bad." Usually the quote doesn't ring so true about a movie, we just pick what sounds cool! This week Dan, Raul, Jonnie, & Michel talk about the most talked about movie of the summer. This one goes a little longer than it probably should, but that just mirrors the movie :) Suicide Squad: Justice has a bad side.

Commodore Paris: [to Kirk] "It isn't uncommon, you know? It's easy to get lost. In the vastness of space, there's only yourself, your ship, your crew." We watched the new Fast & Furious Space....I mean Star Trek, new Star Trek. Dan, Raul , and Michel give their thoughts on the Justin Lin version of a classic franchise.

Sterling Archer: "Do you want ants? Because that's how you get ants!" Do you want laughs because this show is how you get laughs...at least after season 2, but not including season 4. Ah well Raul and Michel explain their love for the show, and Dan explains what it's like to watch it for the first time. Either way once you listen you'll be in the "Danger Zone"

Clementine: "Look man, I'm telling you right off the bat I'm high maintenance. So I'm not gonna tip-toe around your marriage or whatever it is ya got goin' on there. If you wanna be with me, you're with me." Sometimes you just can't escape the FEELS I know we couldn't. A beautiful looking and acted movie that made all of us think about our past relationships. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: You can erase someone from your mind. Getting them out of your heart is another story.

Mayor Bradley: "Do not compare me to the Jaws mayor." The most thumbed down video in the history of Youtube, didn't stop us from watching the new Ghostbusters! While we agree the trailer and the new theme song or horrible our feels on the actual movie we're a little different. Dr. Ian Malcolm: "God help us, we're in the hands of engineers." Can you say classic, we can! A childhood favorite for all 3 of us and one movie worth watching the behind the scenes flicks for. Jurassic Park: An adventure 65 million years in the making.

Vernon Fenwick: "Why aren't we going with the Turtles? When something bad happens, you want to be with the Turtles!" Wow, we're back where it all started 2 years later! Some people have changed, but the movies haven't, TMNT again! Come listen as we try to explain this...thing.

Conner: "Ever since I was born, I was dope." Lonely Island does a 87 minute SNL skit, and we watched it. It may not be Spinal Tap, but it pretty close for using pop music as the focus. Come listen to Dan, Raul, and Michel talk about being humble and signing dicks.

Shepherd Book: [Regarding Mal's new "wife"] "If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters. And people who talk at the theatre." Two fan boys and a new comer get hooked like phonics and watch the classic but tragically ended to early SciFi Western. Come and listen as we get all the facts wrong but in all the right ways. If you haven't seen this show, you wont understand. Firefly: Meet the most spaced-out crew in the galaxy.

Valerie: I remember how the meaning of words began to change. How unfamiliar words like "collateral" and "rendition" became frightening, while things like Norsefire and the Articles of Allegiance became powerful. I remember how "different" became dangerous. I still don't understand it, why they hate us so much.

Whoa can you say deep comic book movie....neither can we but we can say it was fun. This week we welcome a friend/fan of the podcast Manda! Yay!...but we also have the usual suspects in Raul, Dan, & Michel on the 1s &2s.

V for Vendetta: Remember, remember the 5th of November, the gun powder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gun powder treason should ever be forgot.
