    Enjoyable, but have questions.
It was enjoyable, but I think it may be skewed from a point of view of white history assuming that she is a hero for helping Lewis and Clark claim land that wasn't theirs to claim. But it was interesting and I'm glad I listened to it. And I liked getting to know her and her precious baby boy.

    Publisher's Summary:

And what of Alice, the young witch who is Tom's closest ally? How did she overcome her dark past?
What did the witch assassin Grimalkin do to become the most deadly and feared witch in the county?
And, collected in a gallery of horrors, discover the rest of the county's menacing villains and relive the vicious battles waged against them.
Enter a land where creatures of the dark creep out of the shadows. Do you dare?
    Editorial Reviews:
Christopher Evan Welch skillfully presents the descriptive backgrounds of John Gregory and Alice Dean, characters who are nearly as important as Tom Ward in the Last Apprentice series. Along with accurately delivering John's appealing accent, Welch quickly changes his tone as terror erupts when John is locked in a dark cellar by his angry father. Equally frightening is Welchs portrayal of a witch with a shaky, old lady voice. Most appealing is his portrayal of Alice, who poignantly explains how her feelings for Tom are at odds with her dark side as a witch. These fast-paced "short listens" round out this exciting series.

    Almost like an INFO-MERCIAL
I love this series but this particular book is even shorter then it looks. Over HALF is short scene tellings of the previous books in the series. Personally they should have put this in the free for members section.
A little entertaining but not really worth a credit.
One redeeming factor, they had the same great narrator.
THIS WAS THE WORST BOOK EVER!!!
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
If it was actually a story like the other last apprentice books all it did was tell a bunch of stuff we all ready knew.
What do you think your next listen will be?
The next last apprentice book that is really a story.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Christopher Evan Welch?
The narrator was fine just the story was awful.
You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
    NO!!
    Any additional comments?
I really like the series but this was just the worst book I have ever read in my life and that is a fact. Do not buy this book!!!!!!!!! All it was was a short clip of every book in the series.

    Good books for boys ever!
Don't know where this series of book been when I was raising my son but I super glad I found them for my 7 years old grandson. He loves this series especially this one, 2095. He love the fact that the boys go Into the future and runs Into automated robots with lasers. I love the fact that now I have no trouble getting him to get ready for bedtime. All I have to say I'll read him a Time Warp Trio book.

Nice series for a struggling grade 3 boy reader.
Audio was quite nice and helped him keep focused when not reading aloud.
Very funny, one of the better ones
I've been reading all the Time Warp Trio books to my son at night, and this was one of our favorites. My 7-yr. old really loves them and was quite enchanted by this one with them going into the future and running around the Museum of Natural History in New York and he especially loved the one line of the SellBot, "Hey, Buddy, What's You're Number?" in a New York accent. I enjoy reading the books out loud just as much as he likes to listen, and next year he'll probably be reading them again and again on his own. I highly recommend the entire series, very funny and sarcastic.
    Five Stars
Well written series for kids. Satisfying stories.

The book was fantastic. And I liked the part where they are chased by the girls. It was very interesting!

    Good book for children.
Not recommended for adults. As a student of General Patton, this was disappointing in it's accuracy. But it would be a good introduction or overview for children. It shows the patriotic, good and decent side of General Patton very well and that is good for all.

    Amazing and Inspiring
I had previously read Ben Franklin's Autobiography which was very good, but I really had wanted to hear his part in the founding of the nation. I highly recommend the autobiography as well, because it gives his personal style, flair and philosophy which helped him become who he was. It is very good, but I really wanted more and this book gave it to me. I so enjoyed listening to how much of a part he played not only in the shaping of the antecedents to the Revolution, but the part he played during the war. The Declaration of Independence, and the Constitutional Convention are either glossed over or left out of his autobiography. I had no idea he created batteries, discovered the gulf stream currents in the Atlantic, or that he conducted his own end of the war in Euroope as an envoy to France. I'm amazed at how much a visionary he was and how much he shaped our current society, by creating public libraries, and hospitals as well as the US Postal service and currency. His ability to motivate the public and move them in his direction without taking credit is a model to any modern day politician. This doesn't say anything about his scientific discoveries. The man is an amazing study and well worth any time and credits. I really loved this book. I don't think I can recommend it highly enough.

    Encore! Encore!
I could not have asked for a more exciting time listening to an audiobook. A story written from multiple characters points of view in multiple formats - email, instant messaging, playbills, journals, even sign language. Who knew that the narrators could pull off such an amazing feat, and yet they do. Bravo and brava. It definitely helps that Kluger has written a story that wins over the high school student reader as well as the high school English teacher-reader as well as the YAL junkies (re: me) alike. I want more of the same style because it was a fun ride with characters I could connect to and stories that brought back fun memories of high school. THANKS!
    A Must Read!!!
    Any additional comments?
This book is absolutely delightful - will enchant readers of all ages! I plan on listening to this book again!
    Incredibly uplifting story
This was such a great read. Expect for the two miss pronunciations of Faneuil Hall and Peabody (from the Boston area) . Excellent voices.
    Bummed
What would have made My Most Excellent Year better?
If there weren't so many different formats such as emails, phone messages, and online messaging.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I think the story simple wasn't meant to be an audiobook. The story itself is good but it became muddled and confusing with so many types of communication. If it had just been the three different characters narrating the story and communicating with one another it would have been MUCH better.
What character would you cut from My Most Excellent Year?
I wouldn't cut any of the characters. I didn't, however, like T.C.'s narrator. His voice/accent was grinding.

    Members Reviews:
    It's ok...
I'll start by saying that Team Moon is definitely a kids book. I was hoping for something much more in depth. This wasn't really a book about how we managed to do it, but it was more a book about the timeline with some basically laid out details. The book basically reads out how the synopsis for the book is written, just lacking depth.
For example, I would've loved to hear about what they actually *did* on the moon. But that wasn't even covered. There was no mention about the previous missions.
That said, it was enjoyable after about half-way through during the climax of the narrative; I even got a little teary eyed thinking of it all. But to be honest, if I were a kid, I'd still think there just weren't enough details!
Ah well, it's a nice listen for anyone who doesn't already know the story, and probably great for the under 10 year olds who want to know about the moon.
    A pet peeve
I've read many books on space exploration and have noticed an all too common error that faces this book and others. Seeing has how some might find it offensive, I offer this correction here in hopes that future versions/books are corrected.
At MOCR (Mission Operations Control Room), what is commonly called "mission control" there are many controllers, all of whom have titles and shorthand abbreviations. For instance, "CapCom" would be the capsule communicator (the guy who talks to the spacecraft), "booster" the person responsible for the launch vehicle, "FIDO" (pronounced like the dog's name) who is the flight dynamics officer. Well, one of the positions is that of the guidance officer. His call-sign is "GUIDO". It should be pronounced "Guide-Oh" and not (as this and other books do) "Guido" as in a disparaging term for someone of Italian descent.

    Editorial Reviews:
Taylor's narration of her memoir alternates from calm and steady to exuberant with insight. Her confidence and clarity as she recounts that morning in December of 1996 reflect her familiarity with the functioning of the brain. She articulates the gradual shutdown of her brain's systems, as her disposition transitions from indifference to panic. Taylor's description of the sensations of a brain losing its functionality is at once fascinating and utterly terrifying. To hear the terror unfold in her own voice makes this story especially intimate and moving. Taylor flickers between two contradictory modes of thinking; her left hemisphere, drowning from a ruptured AVM, tries to remind her she is suffering from stroke, while her right hemisphere, devoid of the normal chatter from the left-brain, experiences an increasing sense of nirvana and oneness with the universe. Taylor's narration reflects these opposing states of mind as her voice oscillates from a calm ambivalence to extreme distress and horror.
My Stroke of Insight is both an intense intellectual and spiritual work, with Taylor guiding her listener to a more self-conscious understanding of the way our minds construct our sense of reality. The book focuses on the morning of the stroke and the days and months following, with Taylor outlining what made her recovery possible. Undeniably the work of a scientist, Taylor remains as devoted to the study of the brain as she was before her stroke, while explaining the complexities of her subject with a clarity that makes it accessible even to those without a background in science. Her book is a rare look into stroke from the perspective of a woman uniquely qualified to describe it, and an inspirational and spiritual story of her journey to recovery.
