    Not my best purchase
The book hasn't a good look and it came with a bad the cover page.
    Five Stars
    excellent
    bastante bueno...,,,OK
ESTE, AL IGUAL QUE TODA LA SERIE, SON LIBROS PARA HACERTE REFLEXIONAR SOBRE EL FUTURO Y LA PROFESIA BIBLICA. LA FORMA DE NARRACION ES EXCELENTE. PERO POR SUPUESTO AL SER UN LIBRO PARTE DE UNA SERIE, NO SE PUEDE ENTENDER COMPLETAMENTE SI NO SE HA LEIDO LOS LIBROS ANTERIORES. RECOMIENDO FUERTEMENTE LEER LA SERIE COMPLETA,QUE A ESTA FECHA VA POR 10 LIBROS. ES DIFICIL "DEJARLOS ATRAS " SIN TERMINARLOS.
COMIENZE A LEER EL PRIMER LIBRO DE LA SERIE QUE ES: DEJADOS ATRAS Y VERA LO BUENOS Y INSTRUCCTIVOS QUE SON ESTOS LIBROS. SON EXCELENTES Y NADA ABURRIDOS

    Very good.

    Wordy
I chose this book for a long drive with my Mom. I thought she might enjoy the story. Unfortunately, we found our minds wandering instead.
I listen to a lot of audio books while I work. I often find I don't want to stop. This one, however, left us feeling like we wanted the author to get on with the story and cease the long wordy descriptions. If the author could say it in 200 words, she chose to say it in 600 instead.
    I cannot recommend this book.
Entertaining and well Aligned with the God's Word
This is the story of David's wife Abigail with whom he wed after her very selfish husband became ill and died. It is fiction because it elaborates on who Abigail was and what her life before, during, and right after the death of Nabal. But, it is a likely story and very well aligned with the story in the Bible. I did not find it wordy at all and once I listened through the first chapter I found the narrators voice to be beautiful and easy to listen to. Ann Burton did a great job with this book and I'm looking forward to reading others by her. I highly reccomend this audio book.
    Surprising frankness for "Bible" story
Personally, I don't have reservations about sexuality and the Bible. Correct understanding of the Song of Solomon is quite sensual and I think that's as it should be. When taking such liberties in storytelling, I think the same guidelines should be observed. In my opinion, This author crossed that guideline multiple times. I accept David was a healthy man but to research moralities of the time period, one would seriously question the correctness of this authors choice in this regard. Other than that, I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more about the women of our Bibles history!

This series is amazing. I've read all of them and have re-read them and they are beautifully written, giving the reader a feel of being right there in the middle of what's going on. I highly recommend this book! I will be reading it again because it is that much of a thriller with one exception - these things will come to pass. Some of the things in this book are evident in today's world.
    Great product. Great transaction
    Great product. Great transaction.
    Awesome!
    LOVE this book!
    Rapturous Joy
I found this third prequel to be just as inspirational as all the others in this series. I believe all saved people should read the entire series in order to strengthen their witness to the lost. I believe that any lost person brave enough to read these books with an open heart and mind will be compelled to come to Jesus as the sinners we all are and will be saved through the love and compassion of Jesus. l rejoice that I am no better or worse than anyone I will ever have the opportunity to potentially lead to Christ, but forgiven saved by the grace of God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
    Too much filler
As some other reviewers noted, this book tends to get repetitious after the first half (when the rapture occurs). The scenes in heaven of the saints receiving their rewards were, by and large, unnecessary. I was bored and had to push myself to finish. A few stories, okay, but as many as there were? Too many. Every time another heaven scene came up I thought, "Oh no, here we go again." Dry, boring, and slow.
This is the worst of the three prequels and I think the worst of all the books yet. All the stuff that needed to be covered in this book could have been covered in less than half the space and produced a better book.
A couple things I liked about the book:
Finding out more about Chris Smith, Rayford's co-pilot on the fateful flight. He's much more a POV character in this book. While his story is completely unbelievable (two wives? come on!), I liked getting into his head and finding out the fate of a character who is absent after book 1 of the original series.
Learning more about Abdullah "Smitty" Ababneh and how he came to faith. I've always liked his character.
I sincerely hope the last book is better.

A blood test that should have brought comfort brings confusion and pain instead. Now, Beth Murdock must face the truth; Stevie, the little girl she has raised as her own for almost two years, isn't hers. Jonathon McDuff doesn't know what to make of the legal document explaining that his daughter Lexie isn't really his. He wants his biological child back, but he can't stand to think of losing the little girl he knows as his. The obvious solution would be to have all parties under one roof. The arrangement would be strictly for the toddlers, the adults say, or could God have plans to bring love back to the hearts of two very wounded people?

    Nice Story
Wow - what a nice, warm read. I didn't quite know what to expect, as this book was catergorized under inspirational and romance. The book was exactly that - inspirational with a little romance. I also laughed with this book. The story line was good, the characters interesting and the author narrarated. For a light and quick read, I would recommend.
    Enjoyable
Enjoyed the story line and Christian content. A nice break from the mystery and crime I typically pick. Surprisingly kept my attention. A very enjoyable experience.
    Good but not original
The story line has been done before, but its a nice story nonetheless. However, I didn't think that it offered enough inspiration. It was more of a love story.
    heartwarming
Would you listen to This Child is Mine again? Why?
The story line was that good and there was excellent rapport between the parents and children and friends.
What was one of the most memorable moments of This Child is Mine?
I have heard of birth switches but never hear how they end up. This was a sweet story.
    Which scene was your favorite?
the progression of the finding of the facts, and the responsible way the issues were handled.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
    nothing
    An enjoyable 'read'
This was my first experience of an audio novel and I really enjoyed it.
It's a very light-hearted story that was very well narrated...Have to admit I was a bit wary of the male voice being narrated by a woman but she doesn't over-do it- Worth a read :)

a book to see joy for anyone
I first come across her book sitting on a shelf of my friends apt . she let me stay with her while I got my feet stable when I moved out of state away from all my friends and family for the first time.
It was a rough and lonely journey . I am spiritual but this is more Christian. THAT DOESNT MATTER TO ME BUT THE MESSAGE CONTAINED IN THIS BOOK DOES! she helps see harsh trials and tribulations in life when we feel alone bring them to a better view point of uplift!
I bought two of these a few months ago. One I sent to my cousin fighting cancer.
The other I have on standby to gift put to the first person I sew in need of light in their life!
She is a sage in this life and gifts out her live to others!
    I suggest this to anyone!
Laughter doeth Good like a Medicine
This is the first of Barbara Johnson's books that I have read. I'm not done with it yet, but i highy recommend it if you are going through a devastating experience in your life. I didn't realize just how much it would minister to me to know that there are other parents out there walking the same path as we are, but it does. Her down-to-earth writing style is combined with a great sense of humor. I am glad a friend introduced me to Barbara Johnson

    A great book (a so-so abridgement)
A dime novel? Clean but boring? Don't make judgements about ABRIDGED fiction, people! This is one of the best books I've ever read, and I lean toward Lee Child, John Grisham, Michael Crichton (NOT "Left Behind"). There is very little preachiness (in fact, I'd say none). Lots of action and suspense. I seriously doubt the author wanted to be compared to "Da Vinci Code"; he is a MUCH better writer than Dan Brown.
That said, I can see the comparisons: There is an ancient secret and a modern chase. It's the best of "Da Vinci Code" and none of the worst (Dan Brown can weave a good yarn, but he's not much of a craftsman; Liparulo wrote a great story, and his skill with a pen exceeds the skill of many bestseling writers today... I'm not the only one who thinks that--a lot of reviewers in top publications have echoed this sentiment).
I agree that abridge audio is not the way to experience a book or a story, and I also agree that the reader of this one didn't do such a wonderful job, but don't pin the problems on Liparulo or the book: Read it and experience a great thriller writer at the top of his game!
Get unabridged version, this is terrible.
Abridged version is chopped up an hard to follow. Missing to much of original book.
    Dime Novel
I try to not to buy abridged versions of books but slipped up on this one. It was a blessing as I have never heard such a corny book. In its pages the author even refers to The DaVinci Code perhaps expecting a comparison. Wrong!
Even the reader is awful. Hieronymus Bosch comes out as "HyRonamus" and the Italian "per favore" comes out as the Spanish "por favor".
Buy the book if you want a good laugh at some of the rediculous adventure, but do not invest in the unabridged version.
