    Sweet story
From the despair of a hungry, abandoned family on a cold December night to Christmas morning, the story opens with powerful imagery of four young children who are hungry and cold, and Shaw tells a heart wrenching story from a unique perspective. What is it like to be a guardian angel? Maybe the author has given us a glimpse. This reader was left with hope and a feeling that everything will be okay for this family.
    Five Stars
I know Ronnie. I know the true facts behind this story. I also know the angel Percy.
    True Christmas
I saw on Twitter once an adage, "It's hard to sell a dream to someone who has just walked through a nightmare." I was thinking of that as I read the last few pages of your Xmas story. How in the world can you come up with a happy ending after the first half of this story? I guess the answer is in the true meaning of Christmas, and the divine promise made to us by God.
In an age when people are lauded for being dissatisfied and bitter, your story explores the potential and resiliency of the human spirit when touched with something higher. I'm a sucker for themes like these. Growing up in Massachusetts, going to law school, and working for a very politically correct fed'l government, I can tell you exactly what critics will say. Too simplistic and unrealistic. This is totally a fairy tale....churches, family love, and seeking joy when there clearly isn't any around sends kids the wrong message. Ignore those peeps. Those critics know what is going on here....and can probably sense that this isn't really fiction. Those critics cannot allow themselves to cede to your themes.
His words bring hope back into Christmas
This was such a sad story based on true events with a happy ending. I give kudos to Ron for writing this book with such a force where one can feel as if they were there at Christmas in 1958. His words bring hope back into Christmas and what it really means. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a warm-hearten story to read. A great piece of literature.
    Enchanting
The family is making do. Ronnie gets back from the Pop Eye show, with the familyâs meal. They are watching him on television. Then a knock on the door. The television and furniture is taken by the repo men.
But an Angel will see to it that their Christmas isnât ruined. In the spirit of Christmas, Ronnieâs grandparents teach the children an important lesson. Itâs not about presents, itâs about the spirit of caring and sharing and valuing the important things in life, a full stomach and a roof over your head.
Ronnie has the dialogue moving and the enchantment and wonder of his childhood comes alive like a Peter Pan and Tinker Bell shade.

    Wish I'd Had That Book!
Over twenty years ago, as a newly hired female boss from West Virginia, I found myself in Ohio supervising five male staff members, all of whom, except one, were older than I, and all of them having long time ties to the state. In addition, they all had very strong personalities and egos. Sounds like a recipe for disaster, doesn't it? And it very nearly was. It took a long time to establish enough trust to allow them to take direction from me. As I read "How Women Decide," I found myself thinking over and over how I wish I had had the benefit of having read her book prior to accepting the job. Her insightful and thought-provoking writing would have helped me so much, not only to understand how I had decided upon a course of action, but also whether it was likely to be successful. Ms. Huston's book should be required reading for any female who accepts a management position.
End of the world: the beginning
This book is breathtaking. I'm a Christian and even though we cover these topics in church to read these scriptures in this forum is eye opening. You got attention. As an ex cop I pay attention to things around me already. Now however; I'm really watching and paying attention. What do I say now?
    Keep writing
    Mkeithhoward
    I liked it.
It is good. However, there is a disclaimer about the book not being religious but there is a lot of Bible quoting going on. Maybe I misread something. The next book will decide for me if I continue the projected series
Better Than Average, But Not a Classic
I enjoyed this book very much because of the way the author compared the differences between science and religion.
    Empty
This is totally empty of everything. The book starts then just fizzles.....nothing happens...No plot no character development. It truly has nothing. When I finished I just felt empty

    Gone
I loved this book! It was full of suspense that was intriguing. As Robert disappeared from his life, leaving outsiders to speculate foul play, Ruby was distraught and scared. The emotional roller coaster was extremely overwhelming. The potential for doubt is great, thus questioning God. Thankfully, the book ended positively for this Godly family, and relationships grew. Read this series to find God in many dangerous circumstances.
    patjoy
This suspenseful clean christian romance novel is the 4th in a series called The New Rulebook Series. In this one Robert leaves Ruby his wife & Ritz his daughter without telling them why he is leaving. I appreciated all the prayer vigils for his safe return! In real life I am sure prayer vigils have been sent out many times for those in calamitous situations & GOD has intervened accordingly. Our prayers are very much needed all the time! Joy has captured the heart of those prayers & GOD's interventions! Joy's books are always hard not to complete in one setting & this one was no acception! She is an acceptional writer.
    Joy Ohagwu did it again
Joy Ohagwu did it again! Another can't put it down story. It was great getting to see Red and Robert 15 years into their marriage, still caring for and nurturing their love, even in uncertainty. The story was inspiring and suspenseful. Although, best read in order of the series, it can be read out of order if you don't mind a few spoilers. I highly recommend to anyone who loves a good suspense novel that is a clean read!
Each Book Is Better Than The Last In This Series
The beauty of the relationship this family has shines through the tragedy of not knowing what happened to their loved one. They have courage, commitment, trust, hope, and faith. They don't know what happened but they chose to trust. Meanwhile the vanished person agonizes over being separated from them yet does what has to be done. Will their love and faith be enough?
I couldn't put it down, was downright annoyed when I had to go to work! I had to slow down my reading because I was skimming to find out what happens instead of enjoying the journey. The characters are rich and full, the mystery is mind-grabbing.

    Wow!!
After reading book one of this series, I immediately had to devour the second. The story which is resolved in the first book has a wrench thrown in some years later and something painful rears it's ugly head again. Really excellent writing, the characters are so well-developed and encompass strength and weakness, love and hate, hurt and healing. The entire series is outstanding and a must-read. I was taken aback by how difficult it was to read at times, you really feel the characters pain and anguish, so be prepared. But it is well worth it, because you also get to experience their victories and joy. Just as in real life, in the middle of desperate circumstances we often can't see what God is doing and feel lost and alone, but also as in real life, remaining faithful and clinging to His promises will bring reward beyond what we can imagine, and we will grow stronger and closer to Him through these trials. I can not recommend this series highly enough. Please read all three books, you will be glad you did.
    I love this series
I love this series. My faith grew alot reading this author. I truly want to read her other series.
    God bless you
Another amazing book from Paula Wiseman!
After I finished the first book in the series, Contingency, I couldn't wait for this one to come out on Kindle. I was so excited when it was released a week later, and I was not disappointed.
Paula Wiseman's skill in character development is beyond what many veteran writers are capable of. From the grandmother to the youngest character, from the very spiritually mature and wise to the rebellious, she is able to create 3-dimensional characters who come alive on the pages. This is a family I hope she continues to write about for a long time. I can't wait to see them again in the next book in the series.
Again, as in Contingency, her application of scripture and Biblical principles is astounding and inspiring. In this series, real people with real problems use scripture in very real and practical ways to guide them on their walk as Christians. There is a depth and wisdom of application that I have never encountered in Christian fiction before.
This book is a page-turner for anybody who loves Christian fiction, but it is much more than that. It is a very practical spiritual guide for real people.
Two thumbs up, Paula! You have done it again! I am very eagerly awaiting the release of the next book, Precedent!
Learning to trust that God knows what He's doing
Book one drew me in and I couldn't put it down & I wanted to know more of what happened with this family. I loved how Paula used scripture & explained the meaning in Chuck & Bobbi's lives.

Title: The Heart of the Labyrinth
    Author: Nicole Schwab
    Narrator: Nicole Schwab
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 7 hrs and 4 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 12-22-16
    Publisher: Womancraft Publishing
    Genres: Fiction, Religious & Inspirational
    Publisher's Summary:
Reminiscent of Paulo Coelho's masterpiece The Alchemist and Lynn V. Andrew's acclaimed Medicine Woman series, The Heart of the Labyrinth is a beautifully evocative spiritual parable, filled with exotic landscapes and transformational soul lessons.
As everything she thought she knew about herself disintegrates: her health, career, family and identity, Maya embarks on a journey of discovery to the land of her ancestors. There, a mysterious sage guides her through dreams, visions and lifetimes, to the heart of the labyrinth.
Coming face-to-face with her subconscious belief that being a woman is a threat, she understands that to step into wholeness she will have to reclaim the sacred feminine fire burning in her soul.
But what is at stake far exceeds her individual life: with it sits the fate of the Earth herself, waiting for the priestess to be reborn.
A grand, soul-shifting answer to the hungry soul's question: who am I? Maya's story calls us back to a sacred, personal connection with the Earth.
Nicole Schwab is a mesmerizing new voice for our times, offering a message of Earth-centered wisdom reuniting us with the divine feminine.
Nicole's work is in the tradition of many spiritual teachings: using story or parable as a vehicle for transmitting profound truths direct to the soul. And in the tradition of many women's writings, she blurs the lines between traditional genres of fiction, nonfiction and poetry. She weaves stories within stories. Dreams, visions and different lifetimes are blended in a rich satisfying narrative which nourishes the spirit and mind.

The Phoenix Risen From The Ashes
To me, "The Heart of the Labyrinth" is the journey of a phoenix, rising from the ashes. It is the story of healing the mother earth and in the process healing oneself. I recommend this be read by leaders around the world because The Preamble to the Constitution of UNESCO declares that "Since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be constructed" and I think "The Heart of the Labyrinth" is that narrative medicine which can construct the defences of peace. Through an engaging narrative, the reader cleanses the within and the without, as Maya undergoes psychological renewal through return to the center. More than the mundane notions of classifying this writing as feminist, a transformational literature like this would be better called "Spiritual" in general and "Shamanic" in particular. I recommend this to anyone in general and to the ones in leadership roles and to aspiring leaders, healers and storytellers of all kinds, in particular. I believe this story can be used as an effective tool for narrative therapy. I would personally use it.
    Perfect timing; perfect words
I literally just finished this book and am still swimming in its depths. I'm not sure I'm ready to write a helpful review but it so moved me, I want to say *something*.
    Hmmmm...
Suffice it to say, this book feels like a true game-changer for me; hopefully for us all (for those with eyes to see and ears to hear).
That will have to do for now. If you feel called to this book, please do us all a favor and read it.
    mesmerizing, inspiring
I am struck by the intricate weaving of lives, all connected by the theme of emergence into a new paradigm, a new way of being.

    Wonderful Story
The Mercie Collection was definitely a surprise! Scotland ( isn't that a great name!) finds herself pregnant and thrown out of her home by her father. Even though she isn't really a Christian she finds herself in a Christian school and from there it's just a matter of following God's plan. But what exactly is His plan and how can she be sure she is doing the right thing? She knows she will keep her baby ( appropriately named Mercie) but how? She is 16 and homeless. I loved the twists and turns Srock kept throwing in the story. I listened to all three stories in a matter of days. If you need to be amazed at how God can guide us if we would only listen then dive into the Mercie Collection. The only criticism I can offer is the narration is painful to listen to. I finally got used to it but I didn't enjoy it. The narrator sounded like a cross between a robot and Forrest Gump. Usually I get involved with a story so that I feel like I'm a part of it. Not this time. I felt like someone was reading a story to me with very little expression except for an odd uplift at the end of each sentence. If a listener can get past the narrator the story is excellent.
Wonderful story, very poorly narrated though.
I loved the story and how it was handled, especially the surprise twists!! I loved the elements of faith that were included, and the way Scripture and Biblical teaching was woven in as the characters dealt with various life circumstances. Unfortunately, the narrator was awful, in my opinion! I almost stopped listening during the first book, but decided to try and ignore the narrator, because the storyline was so captivating, but it was difficult. Ms.

    Quick Read
Things had finally started looking better for Scottlyn Rich. Sheâs staying with Diana Kensingson, attending college, and her one-year-old daughter is thriving. Then the parents of the man who raped her decide to sue for custody and her boyfriend gets mad that she doesnât make the choice he wants her to. Will the problems never stop?
This book wasnât quite as good as the first one, but it was still interesting. It was short and reads quickly. I look forward to the next and last one to hopefully get Scottlyn a happy ending. I gave this one 4.5 starts, which rounded up to a five.
    A wonderful story
This story was very well written. I enjoyed the way the author brought God into the story. Explaining the parables was great. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series and reading more from this author.
    I loved this short novel
I loved this short novel. I appreciated how the focus was not just on Scottlyn and her need to forgive and trust, but also on Penny and her need to move on past her intense grief and anger and learn to live and love again.
    Great
Oh my goodness. As the story of Scottlyn and Mercie continues.... The need for forgiveness and restoration. So very well written. Brought tears to my eyes. Highly recommend this next in the series.
