Great start to a new series!

I was expecting the average shifter book, you know...werewolves, sex and little plot but I was thankfully wrong! I really enjoyed this story line. The Characters were great, I love dominate bossy wolves! I love that she wasn't weak and even though she did't know it in the beginning, she was very dominant too. The sexual tension in this book is off the charts too! The side characters were great too, especially Granny, she was the funniest. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

The narration was really good too! He has a great voice and does a good job on the female characters. In the beginning I was reminded of the announcer from the old TV show, America's Most Wanted and that made me giggle.

Awesome series just got bundled

Reapers

Found this on itunes as a free download thought it would be a nice quick read and I actually really liked it

It is part one in the Druid trilogy and Im really looking forward to reading the last two installments.

The action is fast paced and cleverly written the characters are interesting and bold.

I am not a fan at all of rape scenes and this story has a few but I guess it adds to the intesity of the story line.

Also some of the hottest covers ever wish I had a colour Kobo so I can ogle in colour, guess Ill just have to make wallpapers for my iphone lol

This book has everything - Action, Suspense, and some naughtyness.

This installment has a great plot we follow on from the first book Reapers, Rachel is still in trouble but also being looked after and the new introduction of Holly is a wonderful twist, but I wont tell you why.

All up this series is an enjoyable read and so quick that it keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more.

Okay so there are vampires that need to procreate with druids. Isn't the whole point of being a vampire to such blood and create offspring by biting unsuspecting victims? Werewolves, fae or some other lesser known paranormal being with might have worked better. The heroine seems to be eager to sleep with anyone.

Very interesting story idea but it could have been written much better. Points of view switched a lot in the second and third books as well as the way it was written. From 1st person to a general third.. Very mind boggling. And not in a good way.

the Tarot Cards hold the power of Life and Death~

PLOT: the Mystical Alexandria Tarot Card Deck holds the power between worlds including life and death.

a cry for "help" from young Elijah ACTIVATES the mystical powers the rare Alexandra Deck of Tarot Cards. Transported to Earth from another world is Lena FROST who is the "image" of strength in the Tarot Card Deck. Elijah is hiding in a closet from a grizzly murder of his mother. The "key" here is a complete duck of cards for the powers to work. On arrival Lena "removes" 2 cards in the deck and hides them, this temporarily "disables" the powers of the deck. Linda Howard and Linda Jones are a wonderful storytellers. Not a fantasy fan but this story drew me. I highly recommend.

I hope this is a new series

I loved this book and hope they make a new series with the other cards. There are many stories left to tell. Abby Craden's performance added a lot to my enjoyment of the book. The pitch of her voice was perfect and exactly what I would have expected from a character named strength.

This is not a traditional Linda Howard book. Loved the adventure of a new spin into a combination of the traditional cat and mouse gam with a step into the science fiction area.

Great re-visit to the Psy-Changeling world

Genre: Single-author collection

Four stories set in Singh's wonderful Psy-Changeling world.

Echo of Silence is about Tazia Nerif, a human engineer on the deep sea station Alaris, and the station commander, Stefan. Tazi was shunned by her family because she chose not to marry someone from her village, instead focusing on her career. Stefan suffered a trauma as a child, before he started his Silence Protocol training, so he is allowed to assist at disaster sites. He asks Tazia if she wants to help on one during shore leave, and one thing leads to another...

Dorian is more of vignette than story. It feels more of an outtake from the full-length novel in which he is the hero.

Partners in Persuasion is about Felix, a submissive wolf horticulturist and Desiree, a dominant wolf soldier. Although he finds Desiree attractive, Felix is shy and reluctant to open himself up to heartbreak with a dominant again. Desiree must come to terms that, even though she is attracted to him, her wolf may never be able to accept a submissive as a mate rather than just a plaything.

Flirtation of Fate is about Kenji and Garnet, members of the Snowdancer Wolf Pack. They had history, everyone expected that they would end up mated, but 7 years ago he stood her up for her 21st birthday party and suddenly started acting like a manwhore. They haven't spent much time together, but that changes after their Alpha's mating ceremony. Garnet wants to find out why Kenji seemed to have a major personality shift, and Kenji just wants to spend a little time with the woman he had felt compelled to give up.

All of these stories are good, with well-developed characters. But of the 4, I enjoyed Echo of Silence and Partners in Persuasion most. I enjoyed the characters, and the plot lines are excellent. They also seem more unique parts of the Pay-Changeling world. That may be because the first involves a human-psy pair, and the hero of the other is not a muscle-bound alpha type of guy. At any rate, I enjoyed the entire experience.

Very Disappointed

I received Book 1 free for an honest review. I have to admit, when I realized that each book was basically a chapter and when you finished each book you had an incomplete story, I bought books 2 and 3. Even more stupid than that, I bought the set that included books 1-6. I just wanted to get the whole story. The worst part of it was the Narrator. She was HORRIBLE. I will never listen to her again. She almost made my stomach sick. Too many pauses. Reading too stilted. Characters' voices were ridiculous. The only voice that was half good was Narah's. About the story, I'm not really sure it was good either. The ending was predictable. It was actually very immature. Could have been written with a little more depth to the characters. I got so confused with the characters that I didn't get the details of the story. I will not put myself through that pain again.

Gaunt either get some training or get out of the business. I really wanted to ask for a refund, but I didn't want the author to miss out.

Great Adventure

What happens when a group of rag tag scavenger hunters capture a Var prince in his animal shifter form? A really good story, that's what. When prince Falke binds himself to Sam who is part alien herself, and she binds him to her but they are both too stubborn to admit their feeling for each other the adventure begins. Sam's father a wants her to marry someone else and he wants to kill Falke, they must fight for their lives. It is not until Falke forces Sam to his planet that they finally admit their love.

Best in the series!

This has been my favorite out of all the books! The narrator does an amazing job with the accents. Epic story, alpha male, pretty princess and happily ever after make this book super fun!

Oh yes it was fantastic. If you like shifters , a little comedy, a lot of hot romance then this is a fantastic story for you.

What a great series!

This like all others in this series is great! Well worth the credit! Narration is superb and characters well developed

LORDS OF VAR IS VARY ENTERTAINING

I love this series. The publishers summary for each book is spot on. The story keeps you interested and flows nicely. There's action, bad guys, fun, comradery, sex and true mates.

All three books have a lot of humor but The Bound Prince is the funniest of the three. I laughed, smiled, and giggled thru most of the book.

I'm looking forward to the next two books which is the twins Reid and Jakar story.

These books are good to lighten your mood after listening to a dark or sad book.

Michele Pillow has a way of drawing you into her fantasies and what fantastic fantasies they are.

These are keepers for my library so absolutely worth the credit or $$.

Charming & amusing

Highly recommend this book when you want a charming, amusing, sexy story with a HEA... type ending. It doesn't leave you dangling, but let's you know the next story will pick up where this one left off. I really like my kindle with audio purchase. Harte's narration is decent.

I have not. I think she is quite good... better than many on Audible... not as good as the best.

I like a light and fun read. So not faulting that, in any way. But I am baffled by the comments which caused me to buy this -- such as "fantastic ride", "masterfully", "ultimate female action comedy" and "laugh out loud". To me it seems like lightweight writing, severely lacking in substance. I can only think it is for young readers - but I don't see that stated.

another good book

I have most of A. Lee Martinez audio books. I keep a look out for any new ones. This book is good. A little more serious but humor still present. It was fun seeing a non super hero at work. I do wish a little more detail about the fairy godmother could have been given. Cynthia Farrell does a good job. She is excellent as Connie and her friend. The male voices sounded a little too much alike. These are enjoyable characters in a good story.

So Much for a Normal Life

If you could sum up The Last Adventure of Constance Verity in three words, what would they be?

Follow the unique perspective of a charmed adventurer who just wants the madness to stop so she can become normal. Alas, the forces of the Universe (and possibly several other Universes) conspire against her. Ninjas, robots, aliens, and magic abound.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Last Adventure of Constance Verity?

Im just glad the author made four cats the arbitrary limit of too many. My three cats thank you.

What about Cynthia Farrells performance did you like?

Her voice felt appropriate for Constance and the other characters she brought to life.

Great story and great narration

Received this book free for an honest review. I enjoyed this book. The author did a great job of building the story and the characters. The plot was well constructed and the characters were very easy to relate to. Father and Aunt love the same child as their own and must find a way to resolve their individual relationship with the child. Really enjoyed this book and looking forward to others.

Emerald City Shifters, Book 3

I read this as a stand alone book, even though I knew it was the 3rd in a series. It did not seem to matter at all. It can be read as a stand lone book.

This book is fast paced, and well written. I love sifter books, and this one was no different.

My favorite part of this book, is when he shifts in front of her for the first! I felt it was very well done, and different then most shifter books I have read. (WTG)

only thing i didn't like about this book is i wish it was longer. I hated to to end.

I always enjoy a different kind of shifter story. This was a good one, with the characters starting out thinking of each other one way & then getting to see/hear the change in how they were to each other

Enjoyable and entertaining short shifter story. Even though this is book 3 in the series it can absolutely be read as a stand alone story.

Shayla is in the process of adopting her niece. Finding Aislinn's father is Shayla's last hope in finding out how to help Aislinn with her medical problems. She finds more than she bargains for when she tracks him down on Bear Island.

Can 2 completely different people find common ground for the love of a little girl.

Lori J. Moran did a good job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Smooth even pace. At times though it sounds like she has something in her mouth this affects the clear pronunciation at times.
