This is a great book; this is the first book in the Federal Paranormal Unit Series by Milly Taiden and narrated by Lauren Sweet. Trent is a wolf shifter who works for a Federal Paranormal Unit, who is a hot alpha male. Ericka also works for the Federal Paranormal Unit because she has a special gift/power, if she touches something of the victim she can sense what happened. However, Ericka keeps her gift a secret because she has trust issues. Trent has been attracted to Ericka from the beginning and has recognized that she is his mate, but he has tried to keep his feelings hidden. This book is full of action, suspense, and hot sexy alpha males. If you love hot paranormal books, then you have to read this book and other books that Milly Taiden has written. I cant wait to read the next book in this series.

The narrator Lauren Sweet did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.

If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I cant wait to read the next book by this author.

Another fun addition the series.

This is the fourth book I read/listened to in a row that had a hero who was a geek or scientist. It wasnt planned that way. I was just going through series and that is where they all landed. Kane Karys is known as the smart brother. He is the scientist. He spends most of his time in the lab working on the cure for the virus that is affecting vampire mates, shifters and most recently witches. He doesnt believe in love. He looks at it like a scientist.

What about love?

He sighed Love is a chemical reaction induced in our brain to encourage propagating the species. The sensation is merely a scientific phenomenon, like the northern lights.

Kane isnt as much of a fighter, but that doesnt mean he cant kick some ass. He just isnt as good at it as his brothers. He also isnt as good at fitting in with humans as his brothers. But he is the only one available to seek out the only demon destroyer they have found in years. So he is sent out to bring in Amber Freebird to help them free their youngest brother, Jase, from the demons.

Amber grew up in a commune where they grow all their own organic vegetables. They dont eat any animals products all. She is a complete vegan. She lives completely off the grid and is quite the eco-nut. Kane approachers she has no idea what he is talking about with demons and such. She thinks he is referring to inner demons or something. She has no idea about her powers. Oh, Amber is also a pacifist, which isnt a great way to battle demons.

Needless to say, Kane tried to convince Amber to mate with him, so that he will share her powers and he can fight the demons for her. Like I said, he doesnt understand love. He doesnt get how much asking her for something like mating for a purpose instead of for something like love would hurt her.

There is quite a bit of the story told from Jases POV. The demons are not kind to him. One of the female demons try to get him to mate her so that he could save her from her evil brother. Jase has quite the decision to make. I wont spoil it by telling you what choice he makes.

There is also more between Zane, Kalin, and Janie. Dont worry. This isnt a love triangle in the making (I dont think). Kalin is a bad guy. He keeps trying to get in between Zane and Janie. He also wants Janie because she is the key to winning the war. Janie wants nothing to do with him. Zane continues to push Janie away because he says he isnt the good guy either. I dont know. We did learn more about what Zane is.

Theres only two more full length stories in this series, Jase and Janies stories.

Any and all of the Immortal Ops and spin-off series are compelling stories with unforgettable characters that make you laugh, open your mouth in awe and are hot. I love visiting with the other Ops guys as with the epilog. Mercy's question about Duke's condition was priceless.

Finally family

It is so nice to see Maddox and Ellie finally get their time together. They have both been through so much and had spent so much time apart that they didn't need to be. The Jameson family are so great. This story gave us a little scare, but we got to meet more new people.

Loved this book! Enjoyed the look into Maddox and Ellie after the war is over and life has somewhat calmed down. There are nightmares that they must work through. We also see Charlotte finally calling Ellie and Maddox, mom and dad. This gives way to some feelings of being unworthy and is something they need to work through together. Short, sexy, hot, frustrating, scary, this book as all of this in it.

I received an audio copy of this for an honest review. I have read the entire Redwood Pack series several times and enjoyed the audio version as much as the book. There were parts that I laughed at when I heard it vs reading it. It worked!

This was the first book by Carrie Ann Ryan that I listened to. the story of Ellie and Maddox was great from start to finish! I really enjoyed bringing a child into the mix, and seeing how Ellie and Maddox would be as parents! I can't wait for the next Redwood Pack book!!

I like the series, hope it gets even better

This was a good read, but it felt rushed. I think I would have liked this better as along form read instead of a quickie. There seemed to be much missing in the dance that is flirtation. There was more tell than show in the romance.

While I loved the sassy curvy heroine Daniella, I felt the guys were kind of typical. They just missed in the surprise and delight category. Sure they are a yummy double team, but I thought they were a little bland. I think it was all the holding her at bay that bothered me.

The smexy stuff was all that and a bag of chocolates!! Yummy hawt action was the highlight of the book. If you like menage, this is going to be scrumptious!

The audiobook is read by Lauren Sweet, who has been with the series since the beginning. She is a joy for the ears!! Such a talented reader with exuberant energy and a luscious voice that feeds into the motion of the story! I will have to look for more of her reads while I wait for the rest of the series to release!

Just a gem of a book!

I became a fan of this series after reading just one paragraph of the first book. Since then, I've fallen love with, giggled, laughed and cried with these amazing characters. if one hasn't read the first few books in said series, I HIGHLY recommend doing so lets you get confused. Even as a fan of time travel, Scottish romances the back and forth combined with timelines can become confusing. There's plenty of adventure, mystery, family, love and hijinx in this book. of course with that ending I'm already chomping at the bit for the next book. All in all a fun read that I highly suggest people read!

Enjoyed the whole series.

I have totally enjoyed reading all of the Lost Highlander series and love books that keep me interested enough and tangled enough in them that I am looking to continue spending time with the characters in each and every book in the series. Cassidy Cayman caught me in the first one and so I read them all. I enjoyed the way that she interwove the possibility of changing outcomes and showed us how they changed through journals found. I am all for journal keeping but now I am really for it. :) Finding out about family history was the thread of this story as they got to experience world's past and future for each character. I really had a good time seeing how they worked it out.

Excellent book 4

I couldn't wait to read this book to find out what was going to happen next. I needed a happening. This book/series should be very enjoyable for anyone. The sex is not so explicit that it dominates the story. The ending is priceless and leaves you anxiously awaiting the next installment. I loved Msg Cayman's style of writing and can't wait to get my hands on the next book!

Lost & Found

I have loved this book and this series. I can't wait to read Evie & Sam to see where their relationship goes. Laughlin is so hot and sexy sounding. His brother Quinn is quite the character as well. I think most readers will enjoy this book as well as the series. I never thought I'd like a time travel book Let alone a whole series. I look forward to reading more of Cassidy's work.

I wanted to like this book. I kept trying. I put it down (proverbially after all this is an audiobook) and would come back thinking I must have made a mistake. Nope.

There is an outlying set up and I got all excited and then wham! All that happens is guilt sex. Over and over and over....

There was a lot of 'his member" and other such euphemisms. What happened to the story I wanted to hear about this special demon killer?

Confused about the previous low ratings

What did you like best about this story?

The main character and the narrator. I also liked how the author included Shapeshifters, Vampires, and Zombies (re-animates) created by the government as the main basis.

I took a chance on this, even though it had low ratings. So glad I did. I have no clue why it was rated so low. The narrator was fantastic and I will be looking for more of her books in the future.

ok story about experiements making paranormals

This stroy mixes paranormal beings with big bad government or pharmaceutial companies (any big impersonal business) that do experiments creating beings such as shifters. A female doctor get involved with a break out when the bad things the oranization was doing was discovered. Of course the lead female falls in love with the alpha leader whom had marked her as "his" mate. Fiighting, drama and vivid descriptions of lusty sex followed. Perhaps there will be a 2nd book but, what happens after the escape and if their "love" will survive due to her being "changed"..

Great read! So interesting

This book is a very interesting turn on the myths we think we know. Mix genetic altering with Werewolves, Vampires and Zombies. Throw in some romance and the evil government, bang you have an intriguing new series!

Smutty fans of Mina Carter may be a touch disappointed, there isn't a lot of smexy steam here. This is more geared towards the Urban Fantasy crowd. Loads of story, building characters and fleshing out a fairly detailed plot. I enjoyed all the intrigue and suspense.

Never fear, there is at least one hawt bedroom scene, but it is more than 75% through the book. So, if you are looking for one of her bedroom reads, this isn't going to work for you! The smexy time is great and plenty detailed, it just isn't the whole point of the book.

This is a mixed narrative, mainly between four characters, giving very different points of view. Most of the time we have Lily and Jack, the leads in this book.
