Bethia may be the former Ramsay laird's daughter, but she fears she'll never marry. She loves her cousins, but their beauty makes her feel plump and plain in comparison. Then a man rushes to the castle gates, desperate for someone to save his dog, and Bethia's simple life changes forever.

The tragedy in Donnan's past ruined him. For the past two years, he has shunned his adopted clan. He now lives alone, beyond the castle gates, and associates only with his beloved dogs. But when one of the dogs is injured, and beautiful Bethia is the one who treats her, he realizes there may be room in his heart to love again. Her kindness is just the salve he needs to recover from the past - if he can bring himself to share his secrets with her.

The Ramsays' enemy, Bearchun, watches them, eager to ruin the clan once and for all. He's certain that Bethia and Donnan might be the key to destroying them. But has he underestimated the two misfits?

Oh Yes!

Keira Montclair again delivers a book that will keep you occupied for hours, so plan accordingly. A hidden gem is right in plain sight, but it takes one special woman to see it. His love to unlock something very powerful in her. Keira does this while keeping you guessing on what is going to occur... for a fantastic read, settle in!

Love a sensitive woman

I loved the character of Bethia and how she enjoyed caring for animals. She was like a vet and to think of herself as ugly due to her weight. Just goes to show us that beautiful is in the inside of the person. The outside only last so long.

I've enjoyed the Highland clan series all of them good stories...I like stories that keep going on and on....you always like to know what happens to the other ones in the stories

There is a lot of people connected in these stories so I expect their will be more stories to come...they have all been good endings which I like.....thank you for good reading !!!

The highland clan

Don't pass on this one! Brilliant

I can not tell you how much I loved the way P.C. wrapped and weaved this story into history. This story probably is one of my favorites now. It was brilliant! I couldn't get enough of this love story. I was grinning from ear to ear at the end. The only thing I didn't like was the bff Jackie. I really couldn't stand her! I felt she was loud, irritating, selfish, and all around ignorant. I did like the banter between them and the goddesses when they got their new bodies though. That whole scene had me rolling. Oh, and ya could've made a better suited name for the war God, I mean really, KIRK, ugggh, that was horrible! MUST READ LIST

BRAVO

I really like P. C

I really like P. C. Cast. She has written some pretty awesome books. This was my favorite. I really liked the story and how it was hot but not too over baring.

Five Stars

A joy to read, Cast always has a way of putting you were her stories take place

Ok, just not towards the end

Not bad, although not one of her best.

I liked the way relationship was developing. But as it's been already stated, the finale is just way too rushed and disturbing.

********Spoiler alert!**********

This whole Trojan betrayal thing made look like "as if nothing happened" just didn't do it for me. Lack of logic and lack of emotions.

Avalon is an ok idea - that I had no problem with. But the end of Troy and how Kat looked at it really was disappointing for me.

Good read, rapey vibes??

I always like PC cast and this is no exception. I felt like the hypnotized sex scenes were little much at first because they did feel kind of forced and maybe triggering for some people but I know that's not what she intended and I'm not one of those people who gets offended at every little thing so. Good read as always.

Members Reviews:

One of the Best!

This was one of the best romance audio books I've listened to. I loved the story and the characters. I was sorry when it was over and I can't wait for more Alyson McLayne books to follow.

Now, excuse me while I go listen to it again. i don't think I've done that before.

Good story, too innocent to be motivating

The performance was great with the different voices.

The main character it's too naïf to be true, the clansmen participation is secondary. Tradicional story with marriage, man older than woman, man expert and woman innocent. Nothing new.

Dont bother downloading this book

I downloaded this book purely because of the narrator but even Rosalyn Landor couldnt make the heroine of the story sound smarter. Caitlyn is a classic air-head. Theres nothing between her ears. I couldnt even bring myself to finish the book.

Title: The Wicked Cousin

Subtitle: Rockliffe, Book 4

Author: Stella Riley

Narrator: Alex Wyndham

Format: Unabridged

Length: 10 hrs and 37 mins

Language: English

Release date: 10-06-17

Publisher: Stella Riley

Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 91 votes

Genres: Romance, Historical

Publisher's Summary:

Sebastian Audley has spent years setting every city in Europe by the ears and keeping the scandal-sheets in profit. Word that he is finally returning to London becomes the hottest topic of the Season and casts numerous young ladies - many of whom have never seen him - into a fever of anticipation.

Cassandra Delahaye is not one of them. In her opinion, love affairs and duels, coupled with a reputation for never refusing even the most death-defying wager, suggest that Mr. Audley is short of a brain cell or two. And while their first, very unorthodox meeting shows that perhaps he isn't entirely stupid, it creates other reservations entirely.

Sebastian finds dodging admiring females and living down his reputation for reckless dare-devilry a full-time occupation. He had known that putting the past behind him in a society with an insatiable appetite for scandal and gossip would not be easy. But what he had not expected was to become the target of a former lover's dangerous obsession...or to find himself falling victim to a pair of storm-cloud eyes.

Loved it

I absolutely loved this book... and also the rest of Stella Riley's Rockcliff series. Great adventure, great romance! Alex gives a wonderful performance. I highly recommend this book!

Just listening to Alex Wyndham say

"The Wicked Cousin" as the book begins is worth an Audible credit. Seriously, though, this is a wonderful story, with intriguing characters, luscious romance, and a bit of adventure. Alex Wyndham's performance is, once again, superb.

4.5/5 Unlikely Dare Devil Match Stars!

4.5 "Unlikely Dare Devil Match" Stars for the story and 5 Stars for the narration!

The Wicked Cousin is another win for Stella Riley! Having thoroughly enjoyed the prior books in this series, I jumped at the chance to listen to The Wicked Cousin and was once again impressed with Ms. Riley's talent for writing characters that her readers/listeners are certain to fall in love with. Additionally, Alex Wyndham's narration is superb as always making this a title best enjoyed in audio format.

Although this is the fourth book in the Rockliffe Series, the romance works as a stand-alone as the relationship between the main hero and heroine is fully contained in this book. All that said, for those that have read the prior books, you will be happy to know that the prior characters continue to play a role in this book as secondary characters.

After being stifled for years, for being the sole surviving son after his twin brother's death, Sebastian Audley has spent his last few years away from the strong grip of his father instead choosing to sow his wild oats even if it is on his own dime. When he finally decides to return to London, he of course becomes the gossip of the season. Notorious for his inability to turn away a dare, he instantly becomes the target of many young ladies who are intrigued by his notoriety. What Sebastian never could have imagined, however, is that he'd also become the target of a former mistress who is determined (in a Fatal Attraction kind of way) to win back his affections.

Meanwhile, the one lady who is not interested in the "wicked" Sebastian is Cassandra Delahaye. So imagine her surprise when she finds herself in the same room alone with Sebastian in what could be a compromising position.

Another "MacKenzie" Rebel to swoon over

The Scot Beds His Wife was/is another exciting book in the Victorian Rebels series. There were a bit too many swear words in the beginning of the story, however, it added to the creation of the characters. Regardless, I love this series, and this book. I can't wait for the next book in the series. (I hope there will be another book in this series). I'm hoping the "Rooke" will be another MacKenzie issue, and hopefully we'll see him in the next book. :)

I listened to the audio version of this book, via Audibles, and the performance by Derek Perkins was superior. His voice sounds perfect for all the MacKenzie men.

Thanks, Ms. Byrnes for writing another awesome story, keep them coming.

great book!

I love all of Kerrigan Byrne's victorian rebel books! This one maybe new favorite though!

Best of the Series So Far

Wow! Kerrigan Byrne just keeps getting better. I absolutely loved this book! The narration by Derek Perkins put it over the top. Hoping there will be more books in the series. Will definitely be listening to this one again.

great series

loved these crooks. what great lovers and the narrator nailed it. Will listen to them all again.

Love

Another amazing addition to one of my favorite series. I loved the sassy/brave Sam & Gavin was just perfect. I love how these characters are so deeply wounded but can still love so fiercely. I liked seeing Ian & Mena ( The Highlander) as they are my favorite couple to date. Excited to see if "Rook" gets a storey next . He is fascinating. Derek Perkins narration was great as always.

Publisher's Summary:

New York Times best-selling author Karen Hawkins is back with a brand-new, sizzling series featuring three unforgettable, untamed brothers who must marry or risk losing their inheritance.

Dashing Scottish privateer Conner Douglas must marry a respectable, well-born woman - and soon, if he wants to secure his rightful inheritance. Soon, he realizes his passion to win her has nothing to do with securing his inheritance and everything to do with earning the love of the unforgettable woman who has vowed to leave him in her past forever. But have his wandering ways chased the woman he loves away for good? Or can Conner convince Theodora to give him one last chance before she marries the wrong man?

Members Reviews:

Pirate Bested by Indomitable Miss

Very enjoyable "elopement" story where the intended bride is eloping with the wrong groom. I love how Karen Hawkins inserts her love for pirates in this book as the Scot in question is a privateer. He definitely meets his match and his equal in Miss Theodora Cumberbach-Snowe (love the name!) who refuses to marry the man of her dreams without love. You go girlfriend!

A Charming Story

This audio book is an almost perfect example of an historical romance. The dialogue is crisp and witty, with a tenderness that is not over done. When I spend eight to ten hours listening to a novel, I like to feel as if the characters are my companions. The characters in this book were excellent company. I hope Ms. Hawkins graces us with more of this series.

OMG- I loved it!!!

Mr. Furlong brought this delightful tale to life with his vibrant narration. Through his voice, my imagination was set loose to create lush scenes so clear and complete that my mind has stored them as movie clips. He expertly appointed distinctive qualities to each character so it was very easy to "see" each of them during any dialogue. It's so wonderful when a well written book is equally matched with a talented voice actor to bring it to life, so this pair will always make it into my shopping cart. As for the story itself- this one has all the elements I look for in a historical romance, with the added bonus of witty humor. Truly well done all around- you won't regret this purchase.

Boring and Monotone

There's just so much you can take of the H getting told "No" yet continuing to pursue the h. Nine hours is too long. Add to that the monotone narration and there are better ways to spend your time.

VERY ENJOYABLE STORY!!

Caught By The Scot was a thoroughly Enjoyable Story.

After the death of there beloved sister Anna Duchess of Hamilton.

Members Reviews:

pretty good.

decent story line, some of the interactions were redundant and unnecessarily drawn out. Overall not a regretful experience.

Typical love story

I would have liked to know more about the main characters as a couple. I did like the way Sally/Gigi was able to touch and be a part of so many lives.

Awesome

I loved it! I couldn't stop listening! This is my favorite book on audible to date.

Too drawn out and not worth the time

I kept fast forwarding through the first half and then just gave up. The story could have been told in a quarter of the time. This author goes on my list of authors to avoid.

Great book.!

I enjoy a book that leaves the gritty porn details to your imagination. Plenty of Adventure, plenty of struggles, Nice strong heroines, that truly do make up a team. which I think is what a love story is all about.

Didn't want it to end!

I love the entire series. Mr. Gillies was a wonderful narrator with his strong voice and varied tones. I hope to hear more from him so be he added so much to the story.

A Great Listen

I loved reading this book & when I was gifted with the audio book from the author, was thrilled. James Gillies makes everything he reads come alive...I just couldn't turn it off...I knew Sorcha's story would be special & it was better than I expected...a great listen!

Do you believe in GUARDIANS?

I truly do not how to describe this story but I can say that I loved every minute.

We have a laird who is a decedent of Vikings and North Sea Scots.

During a raid by another clan he accidently beheads his younger brother and as a result becomes blind.

Enter a young maiden, who just happens to be the last Guardian.

This story is so well developed and the characters so complete that I felt as if I were a part of the story; it was so exciting.

I love this story and so will you.

Thank you, Tanya Anne Crosby.

can't get enough

can't get enough performance was excellent as usual. where the next one! T t t t
