    DISAPPOINTING ENDING!!
Is there anything you would change about this book?
    Yes the ending !!
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Tell me how the villain Broderick Killoran was mad to suffer for attempting to murder the heroine.
What happen to the Duke Rykers father in the story. There relationship should have been restored.
Have you listened to any of Tim Campbells other performances before? How does this one compare?
Tim Campbell is Excellent narrator and yes I have listen to him before
What would have made this romance irresistible?
The Romance was very good. It was the unresolved issue the book seem to have lacked resolution to some of the problems that occur n the storyline
    Any additional comments?
The Scoundrel's Honor was and excellent romantic story up until the end. What the heck happen?
Ryker Black, owner of the Gaming Hell named the Hell & Sin Club has recently be titled the new Viscount of Chatham. Ryker is also the Bastard son of a Duke. The Duke who you meet in book 1 The Rogues Wager is a wonderful man who loved his illegitimate children. Ryker was stolen at birth from the Dukes Mistress. Rykers mother right after birth and sold to Mac Diggory a real Thug of the streets of St. Giles. He abused Ryker with beatings mock hangings. It was just awful the child abuse Ryker suffered. But Ryker blames is father the Duke who was told he died at birth. This story goes unresolved between the Duke and Ryker. I thought at the end he would finally except his father and they would build a real father and son relationship. His sister Helena whom he saved from being killed by Diggory as a young girl see bk 1. has built a relationship with the Duke once she learned the truth about how she was taken from her father. But the entire story just drops off the pages. Instead the author goes to the easy route. Lets have the villain stab the heroine, same old same old easy cheesy storyline!! Even the villain Broderick Killoran is vaguely handled in the end. What the Heck? he just tried to kill your young wife!!! This is just pure lazy writing.
Lady Penelope/Penny Tidemore 18 years of age. Is a beautifully written character this young girl has guts. After being found in what appears to be a compromising position with Ryker in the gardens at a ball she is attending. She offers herself up to marry the cold hearted man. Remember she is only 18 and the daughter of an Earl.

    Publisher's Summary:
Leorah Langdon has no patience for Regency society's shallow hypocrisy and unnecessary rules, especially for women. She's determined to defy convention by marrying for grand passion instead of settling for a loveless union like her parents - or wedding a stuffy, pompous gentleman like Edward, the Viscount Withinghall. But when a chance meeting in the countryside leads to Leorah and Withinghall being discovered in his overturned carriage - alone and after dark - the ensuing gossip may force them together.
Withinghall has his reasons for clinging to propriety; his father perished in a duel with his mistress's husband, and Edward must avoid scandal himself if he wants to become prime minister. He certainly has no time for a reckless hoyden like Miss Langdon. But soon the two discover that Withinghall's coach "accident" was no such thing: the vehicle was sabotaged.
Can the culprit be brought to justice? Strong-willed Leorah and duty-driven Withinghall will have to work together if they have any hope of saving her reputation, his political career - and his life.

    Horrible Edward voice
Why did the narrator make Edward sound like an 80 year old man! So hard to buy into the love story every time I heard his voice. Otherwise, loved the rest.
Love the story but the narrator is lacking
    Any additional comments?
I've read all of Melanie Dickerson's books in both written and audible form and have enjoyed them all. This is the first that I have found where the male lead, Edward, was voiced so annoyingly that it distracted from the story. I did enjoy the story but it would have been so much better and nicer to not have to keep thinking about how much better it would be to have a different narrator - someone like Davina Porter.
    The narrator's voice was horrible
The narrator's representation of the masculine Viscount sounded like an old lady! It completely messed up the chemistry!
    Bad narration
I did not like the voices. Very disappointed. I listened hoping it would get better. Pass.
    Sweet story!
I really enjoyed this book! I did not, however, like the narration of the story.... particularly the way the narrator voiced Edward's character. Though he was only supposed to be 29, she made him sound like he was a stuffy, high-pitch voiced 65-year-old. That being said, I was able to re-imagine his voice. The romance was sweet and relatable, and though a little easy to predict, the storyline was interesting. I would recommend this book if you can read it on Kindle or hard-copy, or if you are willing to use your imagination in changing the way a main character's voice should sound.

At times dramatic and unrealistic but still Fun
It was okay. Not the most realistic, but still fun light reading. Overly sweet and sappy sometimes. Lovely narration.
    Absolutely delightful!
If you could sum up An Arrangement of Sorts in three words, what would they be?
    Beyond my expectations.
What did you like best about this story?
I was a bit skeptical about this book after reading one reader's review concerning the great amount of dialogue in AN ARRANGEMENT OF SORTS. However, we got to know the characters well through their honest, witty, sometimes reflective, sometimes bantering conversations.
What about Jessica Elisa Boyds performance did you like?
This is one book that I feel one should definitely listen to rather than read. To hear the English accent, the French in places, and the emotion of the character's conveyed by Boyd's performance totally enhanced the book.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. In fact, as soon as I finished listening to the book the first time, I started listening to it over again, and when I finished it the second time, I started listening immediately to AN ARRANGEMENT OF SORTS the third time!
    Any additional comments?
I'm hoping there will be other Audible choices by the same pair of Connolly and Boyd.
    Favorite of mine!
I LOVE Rebecca Connolly. By far one of my favorite authors. This story is clean, funny, and absolutely adorable. The only issue is that the narrator tends to speak a bit softly when reading male lines, as to make her voice deeper, but if you can easily overlook that then you'll enjoy this book. That is if you're a fan of clean, hilarious, regency era romance.
Can't wait for the others to be released on Audible!
An Intriguing and Hilarious Romantic Adventure
It's 2:15 a.m. and I just finished the intriguing and, at times, hilarious story of Moira and Nathan. This is my first book by Rebecca Connolly and, I assure you, it will not be my last. This was a clean read, a crazy adventure, and a delightful romance. I will be recommending this one to each of my daughters and a few of my granddaughters. I am also excited to see that apparently Ms Connolly has also written a story for each of Nathan's whacky group of friends.
I listened to at least half of the book in the audible version and it was also a 5-star performance.
    Clever Humor
Loved this one. Looking forward to more from this author! Filled with humor and it was a great story!

    Love this Series
I couldn't wait to read about Ashton and Rosalind romance. I like the way each book kind of sets you up for the next story. Very steamy!
    Sensual rivals
I really enjoyed the friendships and affection between the rogoues and their
Families. I wish there was resolution with the side stories. Is
Lauren going to write something about what happens to Hugo?It seems
She has started on a new series.-that's why I didn't give a rating of 5.
    Lauren Smith does it again!
Another enjoyable read from Lauren Smith! Can not wait for the next book in the series to come out. Audio was good but I have noticed some issues with editing as some sentences are repeated saying alternate. Also, sometimes the male characters names have been accidentally switched. This has happened in the previous books as well, but doesn't detract from the story.
    Wicked Rivals
I've been waiting for Ashton's book and it did not disappoint. I cannot wait for the next one.
Spoiled a little by stilted narration.
Slightly stilted narration but interesting characterisation and story. Pity the narrator kept a stiff upper lip...more substance less style was needed. It stopped me engaging properly with not a bad story.

Good but not great by Lynsay Sands
It's not one of my favorite books by Lynsay Sands. I took some time to be done with it. The characters was a bit boring, Which is a pity, given the storryline is ideal for a realy good book.
    Yess!!
Thank you Lyndsay Sands for this wonderful story. I admit I binged on this audio book, finishing it in about three days. Elle Newlands is such a great storyteller, illustrating the characters in my mind perfectly. I would highly recommend!
    Contrived and Unbelievable
I love Lyndsay Sands however this was not well done, there was what was suppose to be suspense at every corner that was contrived as if there was no real plot. The h faints at the drop of a hat yet thinks nothing of seeing a strange man in the woods all the time, not once but several times and she says nothing. The h well naive to the point of stupidity while the H well nothing interesting about him either. It took 3 weeks to read when normally 2 days, however it just angered me, so I would put the book down or skip through the chapters to get past the contrived plot that was drawn out. There were to many major characters with speaking rolls also.
    Gotta love those highlanders!
The author of this audiobook often adds humor into her romances and her stories make you feel like you are there in their time period. The heroine, Murine, has a bad habit of fainting with any sudden movement or stress. Her English half brother plans to bargain her away for money to pay for his gambling habit, so she runs away. Stumbling upon a group of Highland men who just disgustedly left her brothers house after a failed deal for selling a horse, she begins to travel with them. The men happen to know her dear friends in Scotland and agree to take her there. One of the men, Dougal, takes a liking to her and wants to marry her since her brother gambled away her dowry and her prospects are now poor for a good marriage. While traveling they are beset up by many problems, including someone trying to kill her! Narration was perfectly done.
    great story
love the story. love the audio. love the Arthur. a romance that I can listen and read repeatedly.

    Members Reviews:
    Great book and awesome narration..
I simply love these little novellas of Collette Camerons. To me, its like reading a novel. Theres a little angst, a little misunderstanding, a second chance, some sexual tension and an HEA. All that I require, sometimes.
Of course, there was no sex in this book but you could tell by Olivia and Allens thoughts that the desire was there.
I did like Olivias brother Bradford and her aunt Muriel. There was some funny chatter between the two, in the carriage ride to the Wimpletons, where Olivia will see Allen for the first time in 3 years, where they would discover they still loved one another.
This was a cute story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
As to the narrator: Fabulous! Stevie Zimmerman is one of my favorites. Great voices and awesome emotions.
    A sweet romance
Would you consider the audio edition of A Kiss for Miss Kingsley to be better than the print version?
Not necessarily, it depends on what you want at the time. Obviously it's quicker to read the book but listening to the audio version allows you to do other things or if you are unwell, just to relax and listen to someone else reading it for you. I found both versions very enjoyable.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Olivia Kingsley, she remains strong even after her disappointment but hasn't become bitter. She has a very caring nature.
Have you listened to any of Stevie Zimmermans other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, this is the first time I've heard this narrator. I enjoyed her narration, I was pleased that she had an English accent as it was set in England with English people speaking.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
    A sweet romance
    Any additional comments?
This is a novella so it lasted just over 2 hours, ideal for when your time is limited. I know longer audiobooks can take up to 2 weeks to find the time to listen to them.
I received a free copy . This is my honest review,
    A Great Story

    A rogue
Marcus, the Viscount Wessex has carefully crafted the image of rogue and charmer for polite society. Under that façade, however, dwells a man whose dreams were shattered almost eight years earlier by a young lady who captured his heart, pledged her love, and then left him, with nothing more than a curt note.
    A widow
Eight years earlier, faced with no other choice, Mrs. Eleanor Collins fled London and the only man she ever loved, Marcus, Viscount Wessex. She has now returned to serve as a companion for her elderly aunt, with a daughter in tow. Even though they're next door neighbors, there is little reason for her to move in the same circles as Marcus. Just in case, she vows to avoid him, for he reminds her of all she lost when she left.
    Reunited
As their paths continue to cross, Marcus finds his desire for Eleanor just as strong, but he learned long ago she's not to be trusted. He will offer her a place in his bed, but not anything more. Only Eleanor has no interest in this new, roguish man. The more time they spend together, the protective walls they've constructed to keep the other out begin to break. With all the betrayals and secrets between them, Marcus has to open his heart again. And Eleanor must decide if it's ever safe to trust a rogue.
    Members Reviews:
    RAPE!!
WARNING THIS IS A BOOK ABOUT RAPE!! Once I realized I had bought a book about a rape victim I re turned it to Amazon. Rape has no business in Romance novels. There is nothing romantic about rape!!
    OK book with good narration..
I dont know where these authors get the names of their books but sometimes they just dont make sense. Marcus and Eleanor fell in love eight years before then suddenly she disappeared, leaving him with only a note of goodbye. Then she returns with her 7 year old daughter, from when she had been raped eight years ago. Marcus, with his inner thoughts, tells himself how much he hates her, how he wanted revenge, one minute hes being a jerk to her and the next hes telling her how much he wants her, how he has to have her in his bed before she leaves London again, how he can never trust her again, and so on. So, my question is: why is this book called To Trust a Rogue? It had nothing to do with trusting him and everything to do with trusting her. Just curious.
Overall, this was a decent book but it was very repetitive. I mean, I can see an author wanting to say same thing more than once but why it has to be said the same exact way three or four times is beyond me.
And if youre looking for a strong female lead you need to look elsewhere. When the rapist went to Eleanor and told her to leave, or else, she packed up Marcia and left London AGAIN. I think it would have been better for her to have gone to Marcus and told him This is what he said, what should we do about him? In eight years she never got even a little bit braver until her daughter Marcia told her she was tired of her mother be afraid of everything.
The best thing about this book was when she met Marcus in her aunts garden and told him the reason why shed left eight years before, instead of that information being dragged out until the end of the book. And it was nice how really, really bad he felt for hating her all those years, only to find out that what he thought was wrong, wrong, wrong. And it was really nice what Marcus did to the rapist.
Another thing that was soooo wrong was when, on three occasions, someone said something about ending someone.

    The power of Love!
Marvelous story...had me riveted to the end. I found myself laughing, screaming, and ultimately crying for happy. When Ms Caldwell writes stories such as this, all others should bow in honor. Did I like this novel?........DEFINITELY....and highly recommend it.
And,....only the magnificent narration of Tim Campbell could bring its richness to life!
    A heartwarming read.
I love all her books, but this one just filled my heart. Such an amazing story that pulls at your heart strings.
    Love this Rake!
Wonderful reunion story of childhood friends. Full of emotion, characterization, and a heartwarming ending. Actually I was in tears by the end. Wonderful reading by Tim Campbell as usual.
One of my favourite love stories.
This is my first ever Audiobook. Christi Caldwell has long been one of my favourite authors, in fact I have read every historical romance she's written, so when I was given the opportunity to review one of her books as an audiobook, I jumped at the chance.
The book is a friends to lovers love story, one of my favourite historical romance 'tropes' and, of course, it has the required happily ever after with a few twists along the way.
This version is brilliantly performed by Tim Campbell; I was amazed at how easily he seemed to slide between male/ female voices and the standard narration. It definitely added another welcome dimension to the listening experience.
I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review, but have since gone on to download another Christi/Tim audiobook as I enjoyed this one so much.
    Entrancing!
I own other audiobooks by Christi Caldwell that Tim Campbell has narrated and I love them. Just like I love this one. Mr. Campbell does a phenomenal job at bringing both the hero and the heroine to life for me. I truly am immersed in the story.

    Critic Reviews:
"Narrator Tim Campbell gives a sizzling performance in this story of a scoundrel transformed by his love for a young woman. Campbell's English accent and rich, low tones perfectly capture the allure of the detestable and delectable Edmund, Marquess of Rutland, who plots revenge on a former lover by ruining her niece. Campbell's falsetto tones mingled with a tone of sweetness bring out Miss Phoebe Barrett's disarming gentleness, which distracts Edmund from his original plan as she becomes the new object of his desire. The nuances of societal roles are deftly conveyed through the formal tone of Edmund's butler and the restrained tones of the gentlemen. Campbell successfully brings out the lusciousness and lasciviousness of this titillating Regency romance, making for a captivating listening experience." (

    Pretty darn good
Narrator: Tim Campbell does a great job as usual.
Liked it. When a story keeps me captivating, makes me smile, hold my breath and brings tears to my eyes, it's a good book.
    Rutland Rules in Audible
This is the first book I've listened to on Audible. I was captivated by Tim's interpretation of my favorite characters. My favorite voice was Chester the Molester, Viscount Waters. Tim captured his voice identically to my head voice for him.
I hesitated to listen because I've always been an avid and active book reader and I didn't believe that I could enjoy passively listening to a book. Well, I've been proved wrong. Though, I am fair on the way to knowing this book by heart through multiple readings, I also immensely enjoyed listening to it on Audible.
I intend to listen many times in the future in addition to continuing to read. Christi Caldwell has found an excellent partner in Tim Campbell. His voice and interpretations are outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful evening of entertainment. Magnificent!

    OK book with good narration..
After reading To Trust a Rogue and finding it OK I decided to try this short story. I was surprised to read the exact phrasing in this story and that it was repetitive, too, for it only being 138 pages. I mean, we were told 7 times that Philippa was married 6 years, like that was necessary, and that Miles had ginger hair 9 times but I couldnt tell you what color hair Chloe or Gabriel or Jane or either of the mothers had.
Philippa did go from a weak, proper woman to having some backbone, thanks to Miles, Jane and Mrs. Wollstonecrafts book.
Of course, there was insta-love but that cant be helped in 138 pages. (Its insta-love in 300 page books that I cant stand.)
Anyway, this was the story about a woman who went from a brutal father to a cold unfeeling husband who saw her as nothing but a baby-maker. Theyd been married 6 years and shed been pregnant 8 times and only had 2 daughters. Philippa had nearly died a couple of times but Calvin did care, all he wanted was a son.
There was one explicit sex scene, that didnt include intercourse.
As to the narration. Tim Campbell always does a good job with voices and emotions. He even did a great job with Faith, who was 5 years old, and Violet who was only a year old.
    A Fairytale Come True
This is a poignant story of a young widow and her two small children. Phillipa is a young widow who is just finishing her mourning period for a husband who had only given her life abuse and unhappiness. Her daughter, Faith, wanders away from her mother in Hyde Park while picking flowers and is saved by a handsome and kind Marquis, Mikes. He shows her daughter a tenderness that had. Ever been shown to her by her own father when he lived. Phillipa is warmed but wary and rushes her daughter back to their carriage. On the way, she steps I. A rabbit hole and injures her ankle. The Marquis comes along and scoops her up and takes her home to recover. Their chance meeting in the park leads to more visits and Scandalous speculation by the ton. Phillipa has no interest in either elicit affairs or another marriage. Neither can deny their attraction to each other. However,a secret keeps her from ever considering another marriage and a happily ever after.
I had already read the book. But the audio version gave me even more appreciation. Highly recommend!
A heart wrenching story of finding love.
A great story of how domestic violence affects families and how they finally pull out of the cycle and find acceptance and love.
