    Disappointed
This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I bought this audio for my Kindle Fire and the audio only had 2 chapters on it.
Has The Amish Detective turned you off from other books in this genre?
    No, I like this genre!
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Her voice didn't match the story very well.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
    Disappointment
    Any additional comments?
I wish I could get a refund is the Audio books are not a complete book.
    The Voice
I didn't enjoy the readers way of reading the book. She had a boring voice.

    Publisher's Summary:
The mistakes of the past haunt Lucy Flaud, who years ago stopped attending the activities for courting-age young people in her hometown of Bird-in-Hand. Now 25 and solidly past the age of Amish courtship, Lucy has given up any hope of marriage, instead focusing her efforts on volunteering in both the Plain and fancy communities of Lancaster County. Yet no matter how hard Lucy strives, she feels uncertain that she'll ever find redemption.
Dale Wyeth has a deep mistrust of modern-day "advances" and the dependency they create. The young Englisher's interest in living off the grid is fueled further when he meets Christian Flaud, Lucy's father. Dale appreciates the self-sufficient ways of the Old Order Amish, and Christian invites him to learn more about them by staying at the family farm.
As Christian and Dale grow closer, developing a father-son rapport, Lucy begins to question what Dale's being there might mean for her. Could God be testing her? Or is it possible that even the most unworthy heart - and two people from very different walks of life - can somehow find a new beginning?

    Slow but Good
Overall, it was good. The story telling was much slower but it worked due to the setting of the Amish culture. Seemed rather redundant in regards to repeated explanations for the reasoning behind the main character's behaviors. Ending was good though and wrapped up the story nicely.
    save your money
the story was mundane and very slow, the narrator never changes voice inflection, just kind of read the story with animation, I gave up around chapter 6.
    Beautiful story
This was such a beautiful story of Lucy finding her way back to God's living arms, even though she realized she had been in His arms the whole time. I also loved the little side stories that blended in so well helping her along the way.
    Love at last
It is great to meet a young woman whose faith in God grows and changes her while she grieves her past misdemeanours . This story is one that warms the cockles of ones heart as we hear a number of interconnecting stories of days gone by and the strength of true love. I really enjoyed this story and felt regret at finishing it.
    Mixed bag...
Would you consider the audio edition of The Atonement to be better than the print version?
Yes, Christina Moore is the perfect narrator for all Beverly Lewis books, and I've listened to almost all of them that she has narrated. She has the Amish accent down pat!
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Atonement?
Hearing the story behind the main character's pain...
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It was enjoyable but I never felt much emotional investment.

    That's for sure and certain
I certainly recommend this book to other Sarah Price followers who love Amish romance. She makes this story so believable and I couldn't wait to get from one book to another. Such enjoyable reading I wish there were 10 more books in this series.
    Love, Love, this book!
Very well written! If all of my fingers were thumbs, then all will be up.
Sarah Price is priceless just as her name says. A wonderfully written ending.
I was so surprised to learn the inspiration behind this series. A wonderful series hated for it to come to an end. Thank you
    This is my favorite
I think I like this book the best is because I felt Alejandro and Amanda had their deepest conversations plus I liked how Amanda treated the fans. I also have to say that I appreciated that the author didn't shy away from the passion between husband and wife; most Christian authors gloss over that.
Very good story I could not put it down
It kept me entertained fora week that is saying how I liked it thank you for writing it

    Horribly untheological
What disappointed you about Heaven and Hell?
I realize it is fiction, but what concerns me is that the untheological aspects of the story. I have a solid grounding in biblical knowledge having studied and read Bible through constantly. If someone does not have this grounding they can be easily led astray. We do not get to go rescue someone from hell. There are no second chances once you have died. Also, God did not create Jesus, as this book implies. Jesus is God as is Holy Spirit: the Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end. To suggest that Jesus is a created being is awful theology and misses the mark of who our Lord and Saviour is.
What was most disappointing about Kenneth Zeiglers story?
Other than faulty theology, the narration is one of the worse I've ever suffered through.
Would you be willing to try another one of Kenneth Zeiglers performances?
    No
You didnt love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Taken with a huge grain of salt, it is entertaining. It certainly does make me realize that I do not want to go to hell.
    Amazing
I love this series. I can't say enough about them. Hoping the rest of the books are put on audible!!
    great book, lacks performance:(
Great book, good story. Really opens up the imagination of what heaven and hell could be like. Book would be so much better with a Profesional reader, maybe some voice changes for some of the characters. No offence, just some authors don't have the skills to read a good book on their own.
    Amazing book!
One of my all-time favorite books! I honestly wish this book could be done as a play or movie also! I hope to see the rest of the Tears In Heaven series done on audiobook soon.
    Truly Inspirational! <3
I love the way Zeigler captures the essence of the spirit and science in his work. The amount of conviction felt is enough to begin a lifestyle change because of way the writer moves you. This book has given me a new light when thinking of my life and how my choices will be judged before God. That I am accountable for all of my doings and how much better I could be by showing God how grateful, appreciative and honored I am to be a loved Child of the Living God. This book is another one of my favorites by Zeigler.

    New beginnings
---I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This is the perfect series for my walks. The stories are the right length, keep my interest and are very entertaining, always with a message. Kelly is a volunteer at the Children's shelter and gets stuck in a tree after trying to help one of the kids retrieve their cat. Mark is the fireman who helped rescue her. There is instant chemistry. When Mark finds out that Kelly is unable to have children, he immediately withdraws and cannot deal with the relationship. Kelly is very hurt by this. There is a little matchmaking and advice given, and Mark comes to realize that it's not just him that this effects. Can he and Kelly work through it? You will need to listen to find out their solution.
Allyson Voller once again provides a perfect performance. Her voice for this series is magical.
    Lovely 'Installment' Spring Break!
This is another great installment in Susette Williams series "Seasons of the Heart"
    *******IT MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*********
I loved it and yet again my only complaint is that it is too short (*smile*), barely an hour and 1/2! However, this is Susette's goal, writing a book for the busy parent who doesn't have hours to spend listening to full-length novels.
Here's the publisher summary to which I can add nothing without spoiling.
Allyson Voller is a wonderful narrator. My habit is to speed the book up, but even that made it a bit better. She can do wonderful, distinct female voices as well as low, husky male voices. That is a true talent for a performer.
This book passes with flying flying colors! 4.5 stars

Real world problems, suspense, good follow up to the first in the trilogy, characters challenged by living out their faith.

    Best Series
T.K. Chapin is an author who continues to grow as a writer. This is his best series yet. I found Up In Smoke to be a wonderful thought provoking addition to the Ember and Ashes Series. This book has a realistic look at life and marriage. Chapin does not sugar coat the everyday walk in the Christian life but reveals the struggles and pitfalls through Rickâs story. There are surprises and disappointments but victories too. I really like how this author using the support and the accountability between the main characters, the secondary characters and God. That is definitely a blueprint for real lives.
The plot deals with many issues such as guilt, forgiveness, personal revival, secrets, truth and pretend. There is attention to detail and well developed characters who are flawed but forgiven. Was I surprised that Rick was the main character struggling in this story? Perhaps but that only served to keep this series fresh and original.
    4.5 Stars
another great read by this author!
Up in Smoke, written by T.k. Chapin, is a great addition to the Embers and Ashes Series. This is book three of this Christian Romance series about the firemen at Fire Station No. 9 in Spokane. This series of books is all written from the point of view and lives of a different fireman of the station. I love the way that T.k. Chapin focuses on the male perspective. Each book is inspirational in a different way and his book, Up in Smoke, enhances the series. Each book could be read as a standalone, but reading them in order of the series reinforces the plots as you read about the different characters in the different book(s) and the relationships are able to be appreciated in a greater way. Up in Smoke adds more suspense to this series. You'll find yourself on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what direction Chapin goes with several of the characters!
Rick Alderman is the main character of Up in Smoke. I liked how Chapin takes Rickâs life and shows us that in the midst of making some really stupid decisions and then trying to lie his way out of them, Rick can find redemption in the midst of a HUGE mess heâs made of his life. Rick is a man in his 50âs so his decisions donât just affect him, but his wife of 30 years and his adult daughter and her husband and even down to his grandchildren. Thereâs never a quick fix to change bad decisions that have taken years to accumulate bad results, but with faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the knowledge that He alone can forgive and help change a personâanything is possible with Christ.

There's More to Life then Work
I Think I'm Falling for You by Joanne Sawyer was a delightful and easy read. Elise and her Aunt Jem were founders and co-owners of a popular bakery Tabithas AngeliCakes, in honor of her beloved, late mother. Designing beautiful and delicious cakes was a dream come true for Elise, which she took very seriously. Her faith in God guided her through many decisions of this fast paced and demanding business, and checking in with God was a daily comfort. When an opening for a qualified baker arises ... enter Tristian Maine, brilliant Chief Baker. Emotions between the two become confusing, and Elise asks God for strength and good judgment.
I enjoyed this "sweet" contemporary romance, which flowed evenly along with the refreshing dialogue. This is a lovely read for a large age range.
Good Story leading up to a Rushed Ending
I enjoyed it. Considering it's a short read, I thought the author managed to develop the story rather well. The pace and flow of the story was enjoyable. The true identity of Tristan was a very nice touch, I didn't expect that. But, connecting the dots now, it makes sense. It was a good storyline overall, especially everything leading up to the ending. But the ending I felt was very rushed and could have been better developed. While I know it's a short story, it still feels like it completely jumped, from Elise just starting to open up to Tristan and then all of a sudden they're in love.
    Warm and feel-good book
I like these kind of romance stories, they are kind of a guilty pleasure for me (I know, weird to call "guilty" something completely innocent and clean, but you know what I mean).
It is a kind of story best read when curled up in a blanket on a cold day with a cup of hot cocoa or tea. It is heartwarming romance between two nice characters. Of course you already know from the start how will it all end, but it is the journey, not the destination that matters, right? And the journey here is sweet, positive and entertaining to read. Try it and enjoy!
If you want a feel-good book this is it
Very short for a romance book but still a nice read. For anyone who gets uncomfortable with romance books with sexual content this is recommendable. The story is really quite entertaining seeing how the guy changed his life, fall inlove and have God the center of their relationship.
    Disappointing
The book was slapped together with vey little substance. One blink and the beginning merged with the end. Waste of time
