Need more depth to story line...
Wish it had been a little more in-depth story line. The author could of taking this story to a whole new level if she had put the effort into it and made it so much better.... We only learn what the illness was, but how did she contact this illness? She makes a new friend with one of the passengers....how about a visit instead of drop that one off the cliff....
Ms Carvo how about adding more to your stories and make them the ones that we want to read, have to read......
These mail order brides were very brave to travel across ...
These mail order brides were very brave to travel across the country to the unknown and this bride got very sick on the train to meet her new husband that had stated he needed a strong healthy bride. All turns out OK, as he was smitten with her from the start and helped her back to health.

    Wrestling with God
Thought provoking and honest, Journey to Omwana, is the story of Jake, the son of lifelong missionaries, who has chosen the life of a missionary himself. Growing up as the child of a missionary, the harsh life in Venezuela doesn't seem remarkable to him. His mother (now ill and perhaps unable to return to the mission field) and father have returned to the states. While home visiting his parents, Jake meets Julia at the insurance office while taking care of some business for his mother. Every effort to find a wife and help mate to join him in the mission field has thus far failed . . . but Julia has always felt that God has a special plan for her . . . Journey to Omwana is a story of trusting God's plan, or FEARING God's plan, of wrestling God for control . . . of running from God . . . things that all of us that love the Lord have done . . . because nothing of worth is attained easily . . . and humans, well, we are a stiff necked people . . . but we are HIS people . . . this is a refreshingly, open and forthright look at what happens when we hear God's call and follow . . . of how He walks with us through the unknown . . . how He sends those to us to encourage us . . . and how our only real HOME is in Him . . .

One chapter, and I was hooked!
What did you love best about A Rescued Heart?
Everything didn't always fall neatly into place. The characters had hang-ups and flaws, so they were real and I could relate. A great, clean romance with plenty of suspense. Can't wait to see what happens next!
Have you listened to any of Misty of Echoing Praises other performances before? How does this one compare?
Misty's narrations are enjoyable and feel natural. So many other audiobook narrators sound metered, stilted, or choppy (and drive me crazy!) I like Misty's performances and taste in storylines. I look forward to hearing more from her.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Better than I expected, I didn't want to stop. Hope another in the series will be out soon!

    Members Reviews:
    I loved this book!
Would you consider the audio edition of This Side of Forever to be better than the print version?
Yes. I have previously read it in print, but enjoy listening to books. The narrator really added feeling and made it more compelling.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the fact that the heroine wasn't perfect. The characters seemed true to real life, unlike some Christian romances, which make everyone seem perfect. I cried during the sad parts, and laughed at the tire blow out scene.
    Which scene was your favorite?
I liked the car accident scene. I've been to that actual spot on the highway, because I live in Arizona. I used to commute back and forth through that stretch and one time it actually started hailing just like the book very near the area it does in the story, and there is no cell phone service there either. That created a realism for me that nothing else could have.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I absolutely loved the emotion during the rescue scene. The print version was very good, but hearing the emotion in the narrator's voice added a new element of feeling. Of course, I'm a romantic--some people may think that part a bit sappy, but isn't real romance that way?
    Any additional comments?
I hope the sequel comes out in audiobook too.

    Publisher's Summary:
Vivacious interior designer Amanda Billings is plagued by nightmares but determined to press on as if her ex-boyfriend hadn't turned her world completely upside down.
Ad man Mick Thompson believes Amanda is the one to make him forget the fiancée who dumped him and prompted his move to Kansas City from Napa Valley.
As Amanda begins to transform his depressing life right along with his sterile apartment, Mick is ready to jump on the relationship road with her, only to find out that the past is tagging along.
Interiors by Design contrasts manipulation and selfish obsession with true love and sacrifice. It is a story of two people's struggle to escape past mistakes and move forward to make a new life together.
    Oh, and there's cats.
    Members Reviews:
    Hang on to the end!
What made the experience of listening to Interiors by Design the most enjoyable?
Bowersox read her own story, and she did a fabulous time. She did better than many "professional" narrators I'd listened to. I would listen to another book by her.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Interiors by Design?
When Mick finally quits being an idiot. I almost stopped listening because I was so mad at him. But I'm glad I kept listening because I would have stopped just before he found his brains--and his heart.
What about Jodi Bowersoxs performance did you like?
The characterizations were excellent, and it was fun to hear the author's interpretation of the story.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No, but I yelled a few times about it to my husband. :D
    Any additional comments?
This book drove me nuts! Bowersox wrote totally engaging characters. When one of them does something stupid--and like real people, they do stupid things--I wanted to stop reading. But those dang characters had me wrapped around their little fingers, and I had to keep on to find out what happened next. Very satisfying ending. I'm really glad I hung in there.
    Complex, clean romance!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. It's an interesting story and I thought the author did a good job with the narration.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked that it was more complex than I thought it would be. There are obstacles for Mick and Amanda to each overcome and it helped them understand their feelings better.
    Which scene was your favorite?
When Mick and Amanda finally got to really talk after he came back from California.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not necessarily, but I enjoyed it overall.
    Any additional comments?
Because I was listening, there were times when I wasn't sure if his name was Mick or Nick so that could have been made a little more clear (it's Mick, by the way).
Great intense mystery romance (and it's clean)
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I enjoyed the heroine's perspective. Finding a clean romance on audible is difficult! Very pleased. The author dealt with some pretty deep and intense subjects with a deft hand.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Mick-his loyalty and love was great.

Love and family ties in the Old West
Would you listen to Wild Heart again? Why?
I'll listen to Wild Heart again because of the storyline and narration. It captured the feel of the Old West, while putting a Christian perspective on the events happening to the characters as they deal with their own personal trials.
What other book might you compare Wild Heart to and why?
Wild Heart had many facets to it. Historical, Christian oriented, drama, romance.I liked the Old West feel to it. I think it had it's own individuality.
What about W. B. Wards performance did you like?
W.B.Ward has a way of making each character unique in the way he voices them. Male, female, young, old, good guys and bad guys. He is an excellent narrator that brings the story to life.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I'm not sure what the tag line would be, but this would make a great Lifetime movie.
    Any additional comments?
This is a great story of friends, family, and redemption. I felt it was well written, the way it captured the time period. W.B.Ward is an excellent narrator which made this book a pleasure to listen to.
    Great family story!

    Enjoyed
This author never fails to provide depth and entertainment with her books. Loved spending my evening with Austin and Eden.
    Eden
Suzanne D. Williams has done it again. Wasn't sure I wanted to read this one...but it is a great story. Love and acceptance is so important in all our lives, and Eden is no exception.
    Clean romance
This novel is pretty good and clean. Not too preachy. Author is obviously Christian but doesn't push stuff on you.
    clean romance
clean romance with adult characters. Found it a little unrealistic though that they were in love with each other within a couple weeks, and almost within days. Also thought it weird how forward she was towards him, hard to believe too that he would slow her down, but that he did was admirable. They never explained how boy knew about the photographer and pills, left us hanging. Glad they got together, but the book wasn't that captivating.
    Well crafted romance
Sometimes you have to jump in and take a Riske. I'm not a big fan of romance novels, but Ms. Williams did a fantastic job with this one! What at first seemed unbelievable evolved into a clear, natural, beautiful story.

The simplest things are often hardest to embrace
This sweet yet simple romance was a light read; perfect for a rainy day. The characters were realistic and relatable, the lessons clear and Scriptural. For the romantic, it has a great mix of suspense with a happy ending.
    Love Judith Miller
I love Judith Miller and her Amana novels. My husbands grandmother lives in the Amana Colonies and I was excited to read some historic fiction about the area. The next time we visit, we will be sure to look around more and go to the museums.
    Good Read
Got the first book free, had to buy the other two. Really good read.
    Contented
This book makes me reflect on being content with what God blesses us with and not struggling for riches, vanities, or not waiting on the Lord's will. It talks about honesty forgiveness.
