    A Bold Collision
    Any additional comments?
I say this is "Bold", because the author has combined so many different aspects of life together, and goes where some might be uncomfortable going. I won't give any spoilers, but will just say it is a mixture of romance, faith, and a situation that is very hard for people, especially women, in real life to deal with. I am certain that there are women out there that would take comfort from this book ... women who might feel that no one understands. I appreciate that it addresses the real emotional issues that are faced by all involved. And better yet, brings in the value of faith.
    heart warming
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
yes, the story is heartwarming. Its very romantic with a hint of darkness which keeps you very intrigued throughout the story.

    Travel disappointment
Was looking for a short, easy story, with feel good ending for a 2 hour flight. Just finished 3 weeks later only for I didnt want to waste the purchase.
I found Nancy Issacs reading the first few chapters difficult to follow the story. It was overly soft, sweet and it didnt seem to pause - sections seemed run-on. It was difficult for me to follow - comprehend. A few chapters in -as the story changed -Nancy tone seemed to fall into harmony with the story. If ur interested in this story, you may find it easier to read yourself.

    Inspirational and romantic love story
Where does The Missing Piece rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
It ranks among the top audiobooks that I have read.
What did you like best about this story?
The wonderful trip of overcoming odds and adversity for the true love of the woman Dylan adored was very inspiring and turning to faith to help was great.
What does Jay Mawhinney bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Jay Mawhinney brings the characters to life and has you right in the rooms with the characters.
    The Missing Piece
Would you listen to The Missing Piece again? Why?
No. The story was good, Got a little to out there in terms of real romance. A bit too fantasized. I did not enjoy the narrator. Had trouble with his adding "a" after some sentences. sounded trite. The narrator's voice inflections were irritating.
Who was your favorite character and why?
    The pastor
What aspect of Jay Mawhinneys performance would you have changed?
Finishinig a sentence with "a". voice changes to reflect characters and gender.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    No.
    Not very good
I didn't continue listening. I don't like stories about preachers. When this one started talking about him meeting a preacher I had to stop listening. The narrator used "Um" and "a" in the narration that I'm sure were not in the print. It makes the author sound like she doesn't know how to use the English language.

    Sarah's grown-up choice
I chose out of curiosity, not having been confined to the views of standards of a chosen life style so set in choices. Freedom to be who you want to be and a regimented way of life seems far from what is a choice.
Our education offers "Be yourself and be important to all who lead, guide and instruct you" Use it all.
    ugh
This is ok. The characters are decent. It's a quick read. It seems similar to Rachel Fisher's Life-Changing Decision. In a case like this, things are best left unwritten.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is a good book book for people who are patient and open minded and not close minded.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Dr. Kai was the hardest working person in the book and explained more about the story than any other person.
What about Kris Faulkners performance did you like?
Ver flexible but there are errors and can be over looked.
    Any additional comments?
This is a Southern Baptist Book , Texas Culture and a clash with Asian culture. However if you like this type of story you you may go to bed late a couple of days and learn a some thing if you research the subject and get the book. It's a novel and I think it's great for me. Sure it's not perfect but what is. You may learn a lot by giving the author a chance about Mao, PKD cross cultural adoption problems andhow wonderful the world is and isn't, yin yang, feng shui.

    Light and predictable
What did you like best about Her Best Catch? What did you like least?
Basic story line with limited number of characters. Narrator was spot on with the first person lead character. Subject matter and characters could have been more deeply developed to create more reader emotion. Little too much "religion" for my liking.
What do you think your next listen will be?
    John Grisham
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
    No
    Any additional comments?
Book would probably appeal to a late teen or early 20's female audience more than the older reader.
    Ugh
What disappointed you about Her Best Catch?
Poor character development. I don't even know who Ashton is. So disappointed.
What was most disappointing about Lindi Petersons story?
I listened to 3/4 of this book and still have no idea who Ashton was. Silly book.

    Publisher's Summary:
Blythe gazed into his eyes. It seemed as if she were looking into his very soul. Could she read genuine repentance there... or just regret that he had brought shame to himself, disgraced his family? Suddenly, she knew. This was the real Malcolm - before the War, before Rose died, before his life became a wasteland. She saw the Malcolm who remained uncorrupted - gentle, intelligent, gallant before tragedy and loss took their bitter toll. Could she help reclaim that man - whole, healthy, with renewed vigor and pride in himself and his heritage? Hope stirred in Blythe's heart. Yes! Yes, with God's help, she could.
In 1870, Blythe Dorman, the high-spirited daughter of a prosperous Western rancher, falls hopelessly in love with a mysterious stranger , where instead of the happiness she anticipated, Blythe finds only disillusionment and loneliness. The unselfish commitment and undiscouragable love that Blythe expends in her gallant struggles to heal a star-crossed marriage frame the poignant plot of Gallant Bride.
    Members Reviews:
Wished there could have been a happy ending...
This was my first Montclair book to read, and I remember my confusion reading it because of the family line. I had no idea what it meant to be a Montrose before I met Malcolm. After I met Malcolm in this book, I wasn't sure I wanted to meet any more.
My favorite thing about this book was the character of Blythe who is optimistic in spite of everything. Her courage is remarkable even though her story and first marriage are tragic.
This story really sets up the future of how Montclair will be divided. Garnet will definitely be in the future of the Montclair series as well as her brother Rod. This story foreshadows the story of Jeff's as well as we later see how arrogant and selfish he becomes as a result of inheriting his father's traits.
    What A Sad Read!
In the tradition of its predecessor, Gallant Bride is a tear-jerker to be sure. Poor Malcolm loses Montclair in a card game and dies an alcoholic with his late wife Rose Montrose's name on his lips. He never unites with his son Jonathan, and Blythe is left abandoned, carrying his child. Her only hope is that in the next book she will unite with Rod Cameron--the man she carried a torch for in this book while she was still Malcom's bride!
    Gallant Bride
This story is one filled with tragedy. I could hardly bare to stand reading a book filled with such heartache. Malcolm had gone from a courageous and intelligent young man in Yankee Bride/Rebel Bride to a sensless and withering gambler. My heart ached for young Blythe. I hoped that she would gain some common sense. Time warp.
    Good reading, good romance
Jane Peart does a wonderful job in making the reader feel like he/she is there. Very good writing
