    Format: Unabridged
Length: 10 hrs and 33 mins
    Language: English

    Publisher: Bolinda Publishing Pty Ltd
    Genres: Teens, Fiction & Literature
    Publisher's Summary:
When a black South American soccer star signs on to a team in the countrys racist south, headlines blare. And when he falls for the sensual Desmerelda, a stunning white pop singer and daughter of a wealthy politician, their sudden and controversial marriage propels the pair to centre stage, where they burn in the media spotlight. But celebrity attracts enemies; some very close to home. And its dazzle reaches into the citys hidden corners, exposing a life of grit and desperation the glitterati could never imagine. When a girl is found murdered, reporter Paul Faustino is caught between worlds as he witnesses the power of the media in making- and breaking - lives. Inspired by Shakespeares Othello, this modern tragedy of desire and betrayal, incisively and compassionately told, is a truly enthralling work of crossover fiction.
    Critic Reviews:
"Clever, funny, moving and superbly well written." (The Times)
"In a vibrant modernisation of Othello, and with a strong South American setting, Exposure brilliantly explores the inequalities within society and the dangers of success." (Guardian)

    was in excellent condition.
The book, was in excellent condition.
This sprawling, deeply engaging exploration of race, intrigue and betrayal transcends the label "sports novel"
Award-winning author Mal Peet has written three books about Paul Faustino, a soccer reporter for the newspaper La Nacion. His previous titles, KEEPER and THE PENALTY, utilized a blend of sports realism and magical elements to create a new kind of soccer novel. In EXPOSURE, Peet takes a somewhat different approach, continuing to explore the cultural undercurrents of the game while incorporating classical elements in this loose retelling of the Shakespearian tragedy OTHELLO.
In the southern regions of an unnamed South American country, the whole area is abuzz with news that the local professional soccer franchise, Rialto, has just signed the continent's most talented and valuable player: Otello. Otello, whose signing has been coordinated by his crafty agent, Diego Mendosa, and by the powerful politician Nestor Brabanta has been warned that he will likely face racism and resentment on the team and in the South in general. But the prospects of fame --- and the size of his contract --- sway the talented black man's decision.
Soon, Otello discovers another reason to celebrate his good fortune: Desmerelda, Brabanta's beautiful daughter and a popular singer/celebrity. Otello falls for Desmerelda immediately, and within weeks of meeting each other, the two elope. It turns out that the white Brabanta's gregariousness toward his star player might not persist when that player becomes his son-in-law. Meanwhile, the media sensationalizes Otello and Desmerelda's relationship (think Posh and Becks), not least because of the difference in their skin colors.
But distrust and betrayal lurk not only in the tabloids but also closer to home. When a young, beautiful street kid named Bianca --- who just happens to idolize Desmerelda --- shows up murdered, suspicion is cast on Otello, threatening to bring down his marriage and the Rialto team.
Mal Peet's award-winning novels (EXPOSURE was the recipient of the 2009 Guardian Prize for children's fiction, and his earlier book TAMAR won the Carnegie Medal) are the kind of young adult fiction that will appeal equally to teenaged and adult readers.

Good but not Blood Red Road
It took the book a while to get going as we are to understand the state of mind that Saba is in. Though it does pick up speed in the second half of the book and there are some interesting new characters it never lives up to the intensity of the first book in the series Blood Red Road. Still fans of the first book will still probably enjoy it.

    teen read
A good series for a teen girl. The series is worth purchasing if you can find all of the books.
    Love this series!
This series is chock full of high adrenaline, plot twists, and general badassery. Do yourself a favor, and read the entire series. It's so not Sweet Valley High!.
Gaia is Ready to Fight Back!
Those who have wondered at Gaia's actions and attitudes in the last few books will be happy to see Gaia back in force as her old self (well, mostly).
Gaia has become suspicious of her own actions and what she is doing with Skyler. Gaia decides to pretend nothing has changed while she investigates what is really going on in her life. She is not happy with what she finds.
Gaia - Ready to fight back. Trying to fix things up with Jake and Ed.
Jake - Looking out for Gaia, still looks up to Oliver.
Ed - Still hooked on Gaia but giving it another chance.
FOHs - Their evil and petty nature becomes even more apparent.
The Rodkes - We learn much about everyone in the family; three siblings and father.
Oliver - Looking out for Gaia, but is he becoming Loki again?
This was a good one and has me waiting eagerly for the final book in the series. My only problem with the book was some of Gaia's soul searching where she tells us that she has always wanted to be a girly-girl (yes, this is after she gets her wits back). Looking pretty and the prom are actually very important to her (since when?). Oh, well, still a great book in the series (and look for Fearless FBI starting soon).

    Great Inspirational Novel for Teenagers!
Tears Of A Princess by Author Laura Thomas
Christian Author Laura Thomas is well-versed in this genre as she touches base on a variety of teenage challenges. She encourages her younger reading audience to face each crisis by suggesting that they seek out a personal relationship with Jesus. Thomas adeptly intertwines her Christian values and faith into her story line.
âTears Of A Princessâ is the second book in this faith-based teenage trilogy. Natasha Smithson-Blair is the main character in this second novel. Best friend to Bethany who lost her parents in an unfortunate car accident in âTears To Dancingâ, the reader now gets a better understanding of what is going on in Natashaâs life. She, too, is an only child with a love for dancing. As a gifted ballerina, she is very dedicated to her dancing and overly watches her body weight and food intake.
Born into wealth and affluence, her parents seem to be detached from what is going on in Natashaâs life. Each lives in their own self-centered world. When she is summoned to a family meeting, Natasha realizes something important is brewing. Much to her dismay, her parents inform her that they are getting a divorce. She has no idea why and seeks out her best friend Bethany to help her through this crisis. There is so much Bethany doesnât know about Natasha these days and what has been going on in the last year as Bethany worked through her own grief of losing her parents...
When on a mission trip to Mexico organized by Pastor Steve and Bethanyâs Aunt Alice, along with the church youth group, Natasha is forced to face the reality of her situation and the true Source of her guidanceâ

Up The "Down" Ladder: Simple Ideas to Overcome Depression
Excellent book whether you have read the first in the series or if this is the first book you are reading.
If you have never read a book by Laura Thomas you are missing out. She writes with such passion that you will don't want to put the book down. This book is the sequel to Tears of a Dancer. The characters that I found so delightful and real are once again in this book, only the focus is now shifted to Natasha.
Natasha is a girl who is used to getting it all, and expects others to treat her like a princess, just because she is rich, talented and beautiful.

    Amazon Books
My order from an Amazon book seller came through quick;y and the book arrived in good condition.
    Filler
I never thought that I would be glad that the Fearless series would come to an end but I am now. The last few books have been totally boring, and the plot lines are just twisted versions of former ones. WIRED is pretty much a continuation of TERROR and gives little plot movement.
Gaia is still feeling fear. Not only is she worrying about the prom, but she wants very badly to fit in with the FOHs. Unfortunately the FOHs don't have Gaia's best interests in mind. They are hatching up a plan to get back at Gaia, who got invited to Liz Rodke's party instead of them..their target: Jake of course. Speaking of Jake, he and Gaia are still having problems. Jake doesn't understand why Gaias changed and Gaia doesn't seem to understand why Jake trusts Oliver so much. Their little romance is totally going downhill.
The Rodkes have a more intense role in this book. We begin to find out their real motives and the oldest, Skyler, is making Gaia feel all different inside. Could this be the start of something?
It seems Francine has totally forgotten about half of the old characters. Sam and Heather have been axed. They are totally non-existent and probably will not return for the rest of the series considering the storyline. Ed doesn't get many pages either and his deadlocked relationship with Kai is a boring read.
Very glad that Fearless is finally winding down. After 6 years we deserve to know what happens to Gaia. Unfortunately we should have known a long time ago.
    Some Clues But Little Development
This one is really just a continuation of Terror. Gaia is still dealing with feeling fear and the people around her are dealing with the change in Gaia's attitude.
Gaia - Feeling fear and finding girlish things important (i.e. Prom, FOH's opinions, fashion).
Jake - Confused about what is going on with Gaia.
FOH - Think Gaia and Jake are breaking up. Still mystified that Gaia gets all the good guys.
Liz Rodke - Not much input.
Rodke brothers - We find out a little more about them and what they are thinking about Gaia and other things.
Oliver - Still out to protect Gaia and keep an eye on her. Has enlisted Jake's help.
Invince - Still out there causing trouble. We find out some possible connections.
All in all the story just filled in more of the story from Terror with some new clues but no real development. The cover boasts a label stating that there are only four more volumes left (then what are we going to do?).

With Gaia's graduation from high school, Pascal's best-selling series comes to an end...only to be reborn again. Can you feel the fear?
Gaia learned what it's like to feel fear - and it wasn't pretty. Now, just in time for her last few weeks of high school, she's back to her normal, fearless self.
Unfortunately, everything else is far from normal. An evil business empire is trying to manufacture and sell anti-fear drugs to U.S. Army soldiers. Gaia wants to call in the CIA, but it's risky: It means playing by a whole new set of rules.
With graduation quickly approaching and the possibility of government involvement, Gaia's got serious decisions to make. And her choices will surprise even the most devoted Fearless fans. The end of an era is here. Be afraid.

    Wow.
What a good way to end the series. I've been taking my time with reading these over the past few years because sometimes I would get fed up with the plot. But this right here, was the icing on a very large, and very tasty cake. It kind of hit me hard that the Fearless series was over now, and the way it happened was kind of hardhitting for me.
As many others are, I'm a huge Ed and Gaia fan. I hope in Fearless FBI, they somehow reunite, because honestly, like Ed says.. "If there was such a thing as soul mates..."
This book is excellent. I read it in one day. After the bull drama Gaia had to go through to get here, she's made it. And even in this book, she doesn't get a break. But even though it was hard to say goodbye to all the characters, I'm prepared to meet some new ones in the new series.
    The Fat Lady Sings
I have followed the adventures of Gaia Moore for several years. The series changed during that time and I did not always like the changes but I did like the series. Now we are on the final volume.
It is showdown time. Gaia has been following Skyler and has learned of many of the Rodke's plans. Now she is ready to take the offensive. But while Gaia plans for her survival, many of the other characters are planning for the high school prom. Both events create endings and closures.
During the course of the book we reunite with some characters we have not seem for several volumes as well as seeing the latest in the "curse of th M Names" (i.e. Moore, Moss, Moon, etc.). The volume ends with a collected appendix that brings together some of the facts and events of the series. Here is what everyone is up to.
Gaia - Ready to take on the Rodkes
Skyler - Ready to make the move on Gaia
Chris - Ready to make the move on daddy and big brother
Mr. Rodke - Ready to cement his plans
Heather - Ready to return as Queen
FOH's - Ready for Prom but not it's realities
Jake - Definitely head over heels in love and willing to do anything for Gaia
Oliver - Ready to do anything to protest Gaia, even become Loki
Ed - Ready to say good-bye to Gaia
    Finale and Beginning in one!
Oh man, picked this up last week, stayed up till 2 in the morning to read it all, even the summary part in the back just for kicks. The book was sad and yet good all the same time, fitting for the end of this portion of Gaia's story. So while I've heard many people complain about this book sucking, I think they need to look at it more, see that it fits well with Gaia and her life.

    Forewarned
I've enjoyed a few of Jill Paton Walsh's books, especially the extensions of the Lord Peter Wimsey Mysteries from Dorothy L Sayers. So I was looking forward to a good read when I bought this one all of ten minutes ago. However, I've been put off reading it by the simple and rather astonishing fact that the ending of the story is explained in graphic detail on the second page of the foreword! I am honestly gobsmacked to think that the author would allow someone to do this and the editors would let it slip by their eagle eyed gaze as well. Why on earth would anybody involved in writing and publishing think that informing the buying public of the ending in advance is a good way to sell books!? Well, I could continue to rant, but I think you get the drift. You have been forewarned!
    The life with no help
Fireweed was a very good book. It is filled with excitement and danger. Fireweed is about a boy named Bill and a girl named Julie. When they met in the camp Bill introduced him to her and she ran away from him. He chased after her and when she finally talked to him she realized he wasn't trying to cause trouble they started to hang out. Both of them had previously run away from foster homes they were sent to because of the war. Bill was sent because his dad left for the war and his aunt made him go. But his dad said he did not have to but when he left so did bill. When bill first ran away he went home and a bomb had dropped but it did not go off. Know he sees how much everybody has changed. Well why Julie ran away is because when she was on a ship to Canada it got hit by a torpedo. All the children got sent back to the port on a different ship. She ran away because all the other kids' parents picked them up and sent them out a different time but her parents did not because they did not want to go through it again. Know them to be living together in one of the shelters. Bill and Julie are in bill old house getting some stuff from bills room. There was a bomb in his house that they thought was a dud but after they left it went off and wrecked the house. Well know bill is doing jobs for money to support them. Know both of them live in a have wrecked house in the basement. Bill is having hard time finding any jobs to buy food. The two kids are starting to get settled in there new home. When they were shopping they see this kid. They take the kid in until he gets better. For a job bill built his own cart to sell food. Then suddenly .......
    Memorable
Fireweed is a coming of age story in WWII London. Two teenagers learn about self-reliance and responsibilities as they survive on their own during the bombing of London.

Adventurous teen read. Keeps the attention and the language is just borderline to make it enticing to that age group.
    Finally a little fresh development
After the last book, I was really down. Fearless just wasn't what it used to be. Granted it still isn't, but this one was at least better than the previous few. We finally get some new plot developments in every area:
Loki has officially returned. This time he is using Jake as his operative and things don't look too good. If Jake doesn't start doing things right and getting information, Loki might just do to Jake what he does to every operative that fails.
Gaia doesn't understand why she is so attracted to Skyler but she is. He seems to always know how to comfort her and with him her fear isn't that bad. Gaia totally erupts in anger when Jake tries to accuse Skyler of using Gaia and plotting against her. How could Jake suggest those things? Things are definitely changing in their relationship but that not the only big surprise. By accident Gaia realizes something: Her fearlessness has come back.(I was so glad with this development. Gaia with fear just isn't Gaia:)
Skyler thinks he has got all the cards. Gaia seems totally reliant on him and for once he seems to be God. Can he keep it up?
Sam and Heather once again are non-existent. The FOHs are still plotting to split Gaia and Jake, though they might not have to anymore since Gaia and Jake seem to have already broken themselves up. Ed is going with Kai to the prom, though he can't stop worrying about Gaia.
The last few chapters of the book were great. We finally get the old Gaia back!! The first few chapter, I could have done without. Hopefully the next book will be even better. Only 3 more left to go. I'm exited!
    Fake (Book 36)
I thought this was one of the better books because it doesn't tell you everything about what's going on. We find out the there's more to Skyler then he letting on. Skyler kisses Gaia a number of times to make her trust him and it works. But you only find that out if you read the little notes in the middle of each chapter. Jake doesn't know what to thing, like right after Gaia confronts him and tell him about her and Skyler. Jake is getting more and more confused about her. Loki's men are still around Gaia getting information. But he still doesn't know about Gaia's little appointment with the doctor in Normal (Book 31). Loki does believe that "they" did something to his niece's DNA but he still doesn't know what. Sam, Ed, and Gaia's father Tom Moore don't really have anything in this book. Ed is in the book but he's not really in Gaia's life right now. Gaia starts to find out all thought she had thought Skyer had saved her life a number of times she findds out that she was the one that saved herself from one of those events. She then finds out that she wasn't really afraid after nearly getting hit by a car. She decides to test her theory by picking a fight. She beats then to the ground with a smile on her face. Fearless Gaia is back.

    Gaia Finds Her Father
At the end of the previous book, Oliver managed to discover where Gaia's father was being held. In this book, they set out to rescue him.
Gaia - Anxious about finding her dad. Still wonders about Oliver. Curious about Jake.
Oliver - Still seems to be a good guy but he must access his bad-guy side to get the job done.
Jake - May have found his calling in life. Wonders at his attraction to Gaia. Respects Oliver. Not sure about Tom.
    Tom - Drugged and confused.
Ed - Having fun with a new girl but wonders about hi Gaiabetes.
Sam - Dumped Gaia in the last book but may be reconsidering.
A good book with good character development (not easy after this many books) and the plot actually reaches a conclusion. There is still plenty to be revealed in future books. Interaction between Gaia and Jake shows that the Super Edition is definitely not part of the main series. A good series that has not lost it's edge.

    teen read
My 26 years old daughter loved this series and now she is recommending to her 14 years old cousin. thanks.
Stop the series, I want to get off!
I'd like to start off by saying that the worst Gaia book is still a helluva lot better than most YA books out there. Granted, Terror was a low point for the series in my opinion. But in the overall course of over thirty books, the FEARLESS series is not-to-be-put-down.
I only started reading it a year ago, when I randomly picked up the first book at my public library for an easy 'gulp' read on a long car trip. I soon found myself canvassing bookstores, the net, libraries and friends' bookshelves to get my hands on the Gaia books as fast as I could, and when I had a nice big stack, I read them all. I have since continued to collect them and read new ones in the series as they came out, and overall I was not disappointed.
And while I can see the necessity of Gaia finally experiencing true fear (just so she can understand the great points of her fearlessness and why others will go to such great lengths to have what she thinks of as a disability), and while I appreciate the irony of Gaia finally finding a guy who likes her because she's fearless and mysterious and complicated (Jake) just when she starts to turn into a 'normal' girl, I was disappointed by this book, not by any twists of plot, but by the characters that have been all but abandoned. Sam has vanished yet again, now that he's served his purpose in helping Gaia capture Yuri. It was looking like the Ed-and-Gaia friendship (which was one of the things that captivated me in the early books) might finally get back on track, but now Ed's in the hospital and soon the series will be drawing to a close.
Colour me disappointed. Tom Moore is gone again, and while that's not unusual, it's a downer. And while I never really liked Heather, we weren't supposed to LIKE her, just understand why she was the way she was, and now that we do, she, too, has been MIA for several books. Enter the Rodkes, who I could have done without, and Gaia's sudden desire to be liked by the FOH's (though they have helped her in the past) throws me off. All in all, Terror was a disappointment, and while I'll finish the rest of the series, I'm taking a breather first.
    A new Gaia
After 17 years Gaia Moore is finally feeling fear after receiving gene therapy from Dr. Ulrich. This new Gaia screams at a cockroach, is afraid of a Doberman, is constantly paranoid of herself, and is wanting to "fit in". For the first time we see Gaia caring about her appearance and come on, it just has to be hilarious to read about a "blond Gaia" and her episode with shaving. But this new Gaia hasn't all been good. Her newfound paranoia and jealousy has caused rifts with her relationships with Jake. Plus I think this whole fear thing has clogged Gaia's judgment. How could she avoid all those warnings from Oliver?
Jake isn't sure if he likes this new Gaia or not. For one he fell in love with her because of her independence and toughness.
