Do not listen whilst driving

Yet another classic piece of Jack Dee. I made the very bad mistake of trying to listen to this whilst driving and unfortunately once listening it became obvious that this was a dangerous combination.

Jack makes very dry and witty observations on all aspects of normal life, and his comments on the Severn bridge make me smile just remembering... buy it, listen, and try not to cry laughing!

You should only listen to this in private!

Hilarious! I was annoying my family by laughing aloud so I had to leave the room and listen to it alone. At the risk of seeming petty, there are some jokes that seem to have a visual element and which are lost on the listener. But I would still recommend it highly

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Get rid of the interstitial sound tracks, they're hard to follow and interrupted the already chopped up flow of a clip compilation

It's not a book, it's not even as good as the old clips on Comedy Central like Short Attention Span Theater

How did the narrator detract from the book?

No narrator, but the host Beth was cackling the entire time definitely too loud, at one point Laura Keightlinger addressed her during her set.

Never purchase a non-book item in the form of live performances from Audible again.

Search for this and other stand-up elsewhere, not sure it has a place on Audible in the first place. It's not a book.

DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY.

This is a waist if time and Money. All you get is random bits and peaces of a comedy act. What a disappointment. In some parts the sound is so bad that it is hard to hear what is said. At least edit it so it is presentable.

A greet Disappointment I never expected Audible to let bad quality like this be sold on there wed site.

Maybe a co-op was doing this for there summer project.

Please do your self a good turn and delete it from your on line library.

I love it but do you have to be British?

This is a collection from the BBC radio show. It features the actors doing comedy sketches where they impersonate the voices of famous people. It love it. Both the impersonations and the comedy are of a very high standard. Like "The News Quiz" it's appointment listening for me.

My only concern would be how well it travels across the atlantic. Quite a few of the characters are well known in the UK, but maybe not to a wider audience ("The Archers" for example, or Brian Sewell, or Tom Baker's Dr Who or Greg Dyke).

You could see if it is currently being broadcast on the BBC website, which will give you an idea of how good it is, and hopefully encourage you to get this.

Radio sketches.

As an Australian, some of the characters are unfamiliar to me, but The Doctor's phone calls are hilarious!

Fast moving satirical radio show

I hadn't heard any of the Dead Ringers programmes and was glad to get a flavour of it through this compilation from the series. I wasn't disappointed as it is very funny. It helps to know the TV and radio programmes they satirize in some of their skits, especially The Archers.

Ross Noble Goes Global

I have to admit I am a big Ross Noble fan, so I was expecting a treat from his Global offering. I wasn't disappointed. It's not going to be for you if don't like very random humour, which is Noble's trademark. If you do like this type of comedy, accompanied by some unusual observations on his treks overseas, you will enjoy this. I found his description of goings on in Adelaide particularly hilarious.

Pretty standard stand up

This series follows comedian Ross Noble as he travels from show to show in several countries, performing for what sounds like small theatres full of english people. How this is different from doing a season at Pontins I am not sure. As you might expect, Ross uses his time to make witty observations about other cultures and imparts quirky anecdotes related to his travels. You and I dear reader are blessed as we shall never know the pressure a comedian must submit to as he (or she) desperately tries to squeeze a laugh out over riding on a bus or ordering the wrong thing from a menu when you can't make yourself understood.

The series isn't terrible, you probably will laugh at least once per episode. But it's certainly not a classic and it won't be one you come back to often.
