Story was too tedious, I skipped to the end.

I couldn't go on after listening 1/3 into the story and ended up skipping to the last 2 chapters. I just couldn't stomach Garrett and Fitz being tstl. The narration was fine, though.

WOW! What an unexpected gem of a book!

I loved this audiobook and didn't want it to end.

If you are a lover of music and dance this will delight you.

There was so much love and romance between the couples that the ending left me with a wide, tearful grin. The narration for this books was just perfectly pitched and the narrator had a whole heap of accents from American to RP and French.

I really fell in love with Julian and Serge, and when their story was revealed it was so tragic.

MC Fitz and his step brother / Mr. Perfect, Ari were just a delight.

The writing was just great, and the sex scenes, beautifully descriptive.

Very sweet ex porn story

Raven is an ex-porn star who never regretted his profession. He gets injured in a way that leaves horrible scarring and the result is an end to his career and a huge dent in his self-esteem. He takes jobs as an escort minus the happy endings to make ends meet and thats where he meets Caleb.

Caleb is in the closet, an HVAC expert and hot. He fixes Ravens AC one night and the two strike up a slow burn attraction/relationship.

The chemistry between them is heated, but Caleb reluctance to come out and Ravens personal fears keep them apart for a bit.

Eventually they give in to temptation and they find that theres more to their attraction than lust and they begin to build a relationship. But theyre both hiding things and when those things come out it may be the end of their budding relationship.

There were parts of this that I just loved: the slow burn, the chemistry between the two, the very real feel to Ravens emotions and his own ability to recognize his own vanity/needs as far as the spotlight goes, Calebs desire to be a good son and the Romance Convention connection.

Things that I didnt like as much: I didnt quite understand Calebs need to be in the closet in the first place, nor did I understand exactly why Raven hid his career for so long, and I thought the ending was abrupt both in the climactic fight and subsequent forgiveness.

All in all, it was a captivating read with characters I really enjoyed, steamy times, interesting secondary characters and a sweet love story.

Audio

David Ross is a new to me narrator. The easiest way I can describe his narration style is : vanilla. He added not much flair or accents to differentiate the rich and diverse cast of characters, though it was always easy to tell who was speaking. He was not exactly flat in his narration style, but he didn't have that extra polish that we see in some of the better narrators. He was perfectly easy to listen to and never bothered me, so that definitely counts in his favor. All in all I'd place him slightly a bit above acceptable into "good" territory.

Re-read November 2016 (audiobook)

The narration of this book by Patrick Eastham was really enjoyable. I'm American so I am a very bad judge of British accents so I have no idea if Carne's Cornish accent was accurate, but I loved it. It was deep and sexy. Still a 5 star read!

Meh

Let me just say - the narrator is absolutely amazing. She managed to portray more than 12 different characters, all with their own unique accents and voices.

Now, for the story....

I LOVED the first book in the series. This one, not so much. I found it dry and boring, with just enough mystery to keep the story going and to keep me reading.

But unless I see raving reviews for the next book in the series, I'm not likely to get it.

I love this book.

The Cost of Commitment by Lynn Ames is great! This ongoing series about Jay and Kate is wonderful. Politics, intrigue, and romance. Emily Beresford does a wonderful job with the narration. Thanks for making this great book available on Audible.

Ames Can Write and Beresford Perfirm

I find it very difficult to do other things when involved with one of Amess books. Rapidly I am using up my Audible credits before the year is up.

I have a hard time though with so much sexuality even though I share their sexual preferences

IT's a great story, narrator was awesome and the series was action packed. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book.

The Value of Valor is an excellent book. I can't get enough of Kate and Jay. The intrigue keeps you on the edge of your seat. The love between Kate and Jay will make you cry. Another great read by Emily Beresford.

Psychologically Revealing and Emotionally Riveting

Drake and Jeff come to the same place albeit from opposite directions. This book was both psychologically revealing and emotionally riveting.

Aria Grace has once again shown that a romance novel can have both a plot as well as being erotic. We are presented with a mystery, and even though we knew, in advance, who done it, his motives and methods are the challenge.

As the motives are revealed we are also presented with the psychology of the two lovers and we discover their motives and what makes them tick. I recommend this book, especially to my gay techie colleagues and friends.

Alone time in the classroom....

Seth has it hot for Mr. D. Mr. D has it hot for Seth. If only, they weren't student and teacher. Mr. D isn't worried about anything else(Seth is 19), but he is worried he will lose his job if their relationship finds out. He tries his best be professional and turn Seth away...

Easier said than done when Seth is all hormonal stud who is all over him whenever they are alone. Their chemistry sparks and things gets hot.

HOT, HOT, HOT!!! This story brought back a lot of memories for me from High School. Some of my best memories!! Jamie did a great job on this one making it very realistic with characters that definitely can be identified with. Great story line, just wished it would continue into a full length novel. I think that would be really HOT!. The Teacher, Mr. Devereux, and Seth, the 19 yr old student, had evidently had an immediate attraction to each other. Ethically it was wrong, but sometimes it's hard to not follow your heart. Seth was more a dominant figure and he was very mature for his age, very experienced. Mr. Devereax just couldn't resist him. Things between them just get HOTTER and HOTTER!! If you love MM Romance and Love, you will love this one. To a lot of you, I'm sure it may even bring back memories...Must Read

What did you love best about Moment of Clarity?

Book & Author: Audiobook - A Moment of Clarity By Karen Stivali

Out of the series this one was the hardest to read. Watching the homophobia these two men had to endure at from their peers was terrible. But what made it worse was the lack of trust that Collin had in the people around him and in the relationship he had with Tanner. Insecurity in yourself can have terrible consequences and ripple out in your life and for Collin every hit they took was one against him, not one that they needed to handle together.

Once again Robert Neiman added to the extreme emotions that went through Collin during this story and handle each thought and spoken word with what it exactly needed at that moment. There are just some narrators whose style or voice are built for certain stories or characters and I couldnt imagine listening to this series without the intimacy and emotion that Robert gave these guys.

Also this continues to be one of my favorite series out there, one that Ive have read over and over again. And now one that I can listen to over and over and be even more impressed with her characters and stories then I ever was before.

This series is all about the drama...

Well this series is all about the drama and book three takes the cake for number of pages vs angst ratio.

This story takes place right after book two leaves off and we are immediately plunged into a torrent of angst. Seans angry wife. Seans depression. Angry friend Tim who wants to out them. Wendy and Tanner almost hook up again. Collin actually LEAVES Tanner. Tanners mom of all things helps to make things right in the boys world and finally FINALLY - a HEA.

I think that fans of the series know what theyre getting into and will want to see how things finally end up as this is absolutely a series that must be read in order. I for one really loved the chemistry between these guys and liked them as a settled couple. The angst/drama got a bit tiring and I wish the most basic hurdle coming out and being an out couple - had gotten more focus rather than the outside family stuff, which muddied the water, IMHO.

Karen Stivali is a great writer and the chemistry and final HEA are absolutely worth it!

Could not continue listening to a guy who is not good at reading, being a narrator. Disappointed.....

Wonderful story if not for the narrator. Please have someone else be a narrator for this wonderful story.
