Lovable Characters
I am giving this book a 5 STAR based on the fact that it held my attention the entire time. I loved both characters, and there was a plot, too. The cover is beautiful. Since I listen to my books on my Kindle, his formatting didn't disturb me. There are two ways to format a book, one for your printed version and one for the e-version. There were some errors, but they didn't take away from the story for me. If you're a grammar nut, then you might be slightly disturbed. I really got into the characters' feelings. I really wish the author would write more about these two characters. I just loved them. I'll be reading more from this author. I didn't read book 1 yet since the blurb had different names. This blurb, title and cover called my name and I did enjoy it.
Not quite what I was expecting
The premise for this story is so, so good. But the execution is a little lacking. We see the two main characters meet and have a couple of conversations, then fast forward a full year. This story skips over the vast majority of the "getting to know you" and of the healing that is so necessary for this kind of story.
I wanted to love it, but I felt like it was a little rushed.
On the upside - this has a HEA, no cliffhanger and is a standalone part of a series.
