Challenging for women of all ages and stages.

Wow, what a great dissection and teaching of God's word on Titus 2 for women. This is perfect for discipling woman to woman, discussing what is Christ's heart, and how women can live this out in becoming more like Jesus. Nancy does a great job of asking specific, thought-provoking questions at the end of each chapter to make the information applicable and action oriented. I would highly recommend this to both older and younger women who are serious about discipling or being discipled.

Biblically Sound

Wonderful review and reminder of our precious position in the Lord, our true Savior, Husband, and King. Loved the many testimonies throughout, supported by the invincible Word of God. Thanks goes to Nancy Leigh who hasn't waive red in her own pursuit of holiness in this world.

Masterful treatment of a systematic theology

Each section is divided into its own chapter, which makes easy stop and go points. Unlike the audible version of calvin's institutes you can follow along easily and stop just about whenever you want. The theology is solid and practical. The reading is standard audible reading that can get boring but the material is excellent.

Stellar in every way! Deep, Devotional Style!

What made the experience of listening to Foundations of the Christian Faith, Revised in One Volume the most enjoyable?

I love RC Sproul's Foundations, but this work, though similar after a fashion, is actually more heart-warming. Get the book! I feel as though I am sitting in a class listening to Boice as his warm embrace of experiential theology is communicated with clarity and power. Denison is excellent in his treatment of the material.

Intelligence, manly spirit, politically incorrect

This is a must read for anyone who likes to be challenged. Even if you disagree with much, which is likely, you will be challenged to say why. Is American democracy a barbarous tyranny? Whatever your political persuasion, he argues persuasively from the twin perspective of Catholicism and the Pagan Greeks that something has gone terribly wrong in America (and in Canada too). Whether or not you appreciate that he calls Hillary Clinton a whore, he explains why in such a way that elevates the conversation. His analysis of modern culture as either garish or drab is spot on, and his use of metaphor is memorable, for example: plywood.

Excellent

Excellence is Esolen's standard and he met his standard again. Would that his vision could be accomplished. Everything conspires against it, the media, the Hollywood elite, the tech industry (cf. Snapchat), the banks: "a home equity line is perfect to consolidate credit card debt-finance last Saturday's steak dinner over 15 years." Each of us who share his vision must implement it within our own circle of influence and maybe, some day...

Ought to bring you to your knees

Some books inspire you. Others make you tremble and fall to your knees in repentance, horrified at the terrible things that you have helped create in the name of progress. If you are easily offended or prefer your spirituality to make you feel giggly inside, this isn't for you. If, on the other hand, you are willing to see that we have lived in error, and that The Spirit of the Age is leading us into a black hole, then you may proceed.

But be warned: even those who pledged allegiance to the Creator failed to heed the words of the Prophet Jeremiah. Don't expect this not to hurt, at least at times.

Clarity for our age

The content covered is dealt with authority.The author writes with conviction and candor, the narrator is fantastic and each chapter leaves you wanting more and more...can't say enough about the value of this work and the joy it has been to listen to !!!

Great Book

This is a great book. Good for pondering from where we've come, where we are, and what we need to do to restore society to sanity. Though the author doesn't give concrete solutions, I liked that. He leaves it to people, to subsidiarity of communities to figure out the best methods of applying the medicinal salve of truth to their community. Again, a good and worthy book to be read. Do it.

Awesome Book for a Parent in need

Grateful for this tool. Full of direction and prayer for my first adult child. It seems that you are not really prepared for this stage if parenting when they transition and you lose all control.

Stormie gave me areas to pray for and sciptures to study that provided so much comfort and hope. Must read for parents like me!!! Will continue to review. Also got the study guide for in depth times w the Lord.

A Grateful Mother

Plain and monotonous

Narrator's tone of voice is good, and pronunciation is sharp and clear (especially for me that English is not my first language), I was able to understand everything but the way she reads it and interpreted the text, for me was cold and with no feeling at all. Seems like she is in front of the paper and that's it, didn't feel what she was reading. I was not captured or "touched" during the whole book. I'm sad because it didn't fulfill my expectations.

Narrator is good for another type of book.

This Book Is A Huge Gift from God

It's been a Long time since a book has so deeply moved me and No More Faking Fine changed me. Esther Fleece's story, and her experiences with Lamentations-- a forgotten and therapeutic gift from God--moved me to try it myself. To look up Lamentations in holy scripture, and to shift in ways that no healing techniques could ever take me to. I am a different , better, freer soul because of this book. I'm so Thankful my sister shared this with me! I am so Grateful the author took the time to write her real experiences and thoughts on Lamentations power to transform pain into new visions. Life changing book - if we let it be!

The way I came to have this book was not a purposeful act on my part. I had recently tried to recommend a different book to a friend, but i initially botched the title. I guess in trying to find my recommendation, she found this and graciously gifted me a copy of "No More Faking Fine." What a gift it was. I honestly thought I had worked through and forgiven all the pain and trauma I experienced in my life. Little did I know that I was still clinging to some of those experiences and they were manifesting as fear in my current walk! THANK GOD for Esther Fleece and her willingness to share her story and to be transparent and vulnerable to help others. I have gifted this book to SEVERAL people, with others on my list as God guides me. Thank you Esther!

This is a touching story - one that gently guided a young women to know true love from Her true Father. Keep sharing Esther. This is a message we all need to hear.

Vital For All Called To Be Prophets

This is an easy to listen to audiobook. The information is vital for all who feel called into prophetic ministry. It is a launching pad. I highly recommend for all future Prophets and those new in their calling to listen to this book. Having it in audio form is convenient. If I had to make time to read it, I'd still be on the first chapter.

There are some editing issues. You can hear mistakes the narration - that were not fixed in post production.

Enlightening

This book confirmed and clarified my life as an Intercessor. I'm so thankful to hear all the details I thought and experienced but NEVER heard anyone say before, at least in my own experience. This has helped me have peace in my spirit about what I have seen, felt, and deal with my dreams/nightmares better in a place of pro action and not attacked. Enlightening

Very well done. Learned things I wish I'd learned years ago. Nothing like understanding history to give meaning to today.

Historical Accuracy needed in modern world

As a former protestant and now a new convert to the Catholic faith, I found the information very valuable in explaining some of the prejudices I have encountered since becoming a Catholic

Excellent and much-needed history.

This book is very much in line with other books by Rodney Stark. It addresses many very important misconceptions still commonly believed in our world today. As an amateur historian, and as someone who cares about the truth, I highly recommend this book.

Great book about historical lies. The performance, not so much.

This would be a 5 star book, except for the narrator. I think this book would sound only slightly worse if read by a computer. His phrases are choppy and his tone doesn't flow. Think a computerized reading. It's hard to follow the narrative of the author because of this reading.
